Critters and Treasures !

Hello, Glad you could stop by. My Grand Kids are here today. I usually don't post anything when they are here but they are watching a cartoon right now, so I thought I would sneak this post in real quick.

I am sharing a card with you that I made my sister Tammy for her Birthday.

Your probably wondering WHY I would make this Card for her. Well, She is having a big problem with Raccoons. She bought a live trap and has caught several and has had to take them some where else to release them. I pretty much laughed the whole time making this Card. When I seen the Raccoon I knew this would be the perfect card for her.

The Raccoon is from the Create a Critter Cartridge
I used Kraft, Very Vanilla and Black Cardstock
Stampin Up Papers and Crystal Effects on the eyes.

Also thought I would share a picture of my Grand Children Walker and Scarlett with their cousin McKinley from the Pirate Themed Vacation Bible School. Last night was the last night and they finally found the buried Treasure.

No It wasn't Gold, Silver or Diamonds. The Treasure they found was God. The most wonderful Treasure of all. Inside the chest was a Bible for each one of the children.

Thanks again for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful day!

Crochet Potholders!

Hi Bloggy Friends, Glad you could stop by. Did you all have a good 4th of July? I actually got to see the fireworks three times. So that was fun.

We started the 4th with a cookout and then that night a bunch of us went to the Historical Hotel in French Lick. Which is in the next town over from us. The fireworks were Beautiful and they always have an old time band playing music. Really a great atmosphere.

Then on Saturday night we went to see the Fireworks at the park in our home town. They were Awesome!!! We were sitting fairly close and I got so tickled at my grown niece Amy. She kept jerking her arms and saying Oh My. I don't think she had ever sit so close to fireworks. Made my night just watching her. They play Patriotic Music over the Intercom and had a big blow up screen in the ball field and played the movie Frozen after the fireworks.

Then afterwards we went to my Sister Tammy's house. Here Daughter Amy and her husband had bought a bunch of fireworks. They were so Great. Yes, we were sitting to close and stuff kept falling on us. But I Loved them.

I do LOVE Fireworks!

As some of you know I started Crocheting about a year and a half ago and I absolutely Love It.
So I wanted to share with you the pictures of my very first Dish clothes that I just made.

I really like them and they were so fun and easy to make. Mikey from the Crochet Crowd has a video on youtube. He is actually making a square for an Afghan. So I just made it a little smaller. I just chained 26 instead of the 36 he chained at first.

It is called the Raised Treble Stitch.

I have two grown Nieces that were born of the Fourth of July. So I gave them the Patriotic Colored Dishrags.

Here is a link If you would like to try making some of these dishcloths your self.

Thanks for stopping by and If you leave a comment please Include your Blog Address so that I can visit you.

Hope you have a Happy and Creative Day!!!!!

Birthday Card for Amber!

Hi All, I'm back with another post. Wanted to share with you a Card that I made for niece Amber for her 21st Birthday.

The reason I decided to make this card was because Amber loves Tea and she loves to add honey to here tea. So I hope she will get the connection.

Now let me tell you, I had a time trying to make a perfect Hexagon. I didn't have a Cricut Cartridge with one on It. So this was as good as it got.

For the front of the card I started with a very light yellow cardstock and stamped little Hexagons on it with Summer Sun Ink, I also colored the Bee with Summer Sun Ink and cut it out and popped it up with stampin  dimensionals. The three stamp sets that I used are:

Bo Bunny (Hello Sunshine)
S.U. Itty Bitty Backgrounds
S.U. Well Scripted (Happy Birthday)

Inks:
Summer Sun, Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise and Black

When I am trying to think up a Card to make I will make a quick sketch of the Card that I want to make and somehow this card turned out nothing like my sketch. I actually think it turned out a lot better. So I am happy with the way it turned out and think it's pretty cute.

I also would like to share that my niece Amber left earlier this morning and is on her way to the Air Force Field Training. I couldn't be more proud of her. What an Amazing, Intelligent and beautiful woman she has become.

Thanks to everyone that takes the time to come over and visit my blog. Hope you enjoyed seeing the card I made Amber.
Happy Day to you all.  Cindy
