A Cozy Christmas!

Hello and thanks for stopping by. It's Christmas Day! Hope you are enjoying this wonderful day with your family.

Wanted to share with you a little something I made my Mom for part of her Christmas present.

It started out going to be a card but decided to put it in a frame so that she could sit it out and enjoy it and continue to enjoy it years to come.

Placed a 2 inch circle on whisper white card stock for the moon and masked the bottom. I then sponged the sky with Soft Sky and Night of Navy Inks from Stampin Up.

Stamped the cabin with my new stamp set called A Cozy Christmas and then stamped the trees with another new stamp set called  Wonderland. Both from Stampin Up. I am Loving both of these stamp sets. So glad that I bought them.

I then added some stickles to the roof of the cabin and a little to the tree's. Added some yellow to the windows.I know you can't see it but I sprayed some glimmer mist to the snowy ground to make it sparkle a little and stamped a few snowflakes.

I am so glad that I decided to put this in a frame.
I also thought I would go ahead a post some of the pictures I took of our Elf on a Shelf. His name is Ernie. This was the third year that he has visited us.

My Grandson Walker Loved seeing the Minion Bananas!

Walker called him Captain Ernie!

He was on a sled on the Tree with his hat stuffed in a Christmas Ball. The kids laughed at this.

I don't know If Ernie wants me sharing this private picture of him, He made his own comic strip magazine. Just glad he remembered to get the toilet paper.

I think he thought it was pretty funny to wrap himself up like a present.

Found him In the container that the bag of marshmallows were in.

Ernie enjoyed hanging around seeing how good Walker and Scarlett was being.

And on the last day that Ernie was with us. We found him sitting In the tree. Showing us what the
true meaning of Christmas is.

Ernie usually comes to visit us around 12 days till Christmas. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture every day. Santa came by last night and picked him up.  The kids are already missing him.  Wonder what silly things he will do on his next visit.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my gift for my Mom and seeing some silly pictures of Ernie. Would Love for you to come by again.

Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you!

 Happy Birthday Jesus!

Crochet Santa Ornaments and Winner!

Hello, Hope you are doing good and thanks for stopping. This past Saturday I was in In the Santa Baby Blog Hop. I had so much fun making my projects.

My Grandchildren took the Santa and Mrs. Clause Treat Boxes today to their Christmas Parties. Hoping the teacher's and helpers like their little gifts.

If you hopped along on the blog hop, you know that I had my own little giveaway. I will be posting the winner at the end of this post.

But first I want to thank everyone for their nice comments and want to welcome my new followers.

Also I would like to share a couple of Santa Ornaments I crocheted last night to give to my Grand Children. I will be putting them in their Advent Calendars. They will be getting them later tonight. Want to give them to them now so they can put them on their tree and enjoy them.

These little Santa Ornaments worked up really fast. Thought they turned out pretty cute. I like making them something to have as a keepsake. Last year I made them snowflakes. The Santa's were a lot easier than the snowflakes that's for sure.

And now It's time to announce the winner of the Santa Baby Blog Hop.

I had the True Random Generator pick the winner and the Winner Is....................

Want to welcome you all to this fun hop, I have made a few things to share with you today. I was planning on making another project also but because of being sick and a trip to the emergency room and Doctor visits, I just wasn't able to get the other project done. (This Elf is very sad about that)!

So for my project I made a few Santa Treat Holders for my Grand Children's Teachers. This is the first year that they have had male teachers. So I thought these would be perfect. ( Sorry about the picture quality, had to take them with my phone).

I also made a few Mrs. Claus Treat Boxes for the Teacher's Helper's.

The Boxes are filled with Hershey Kisses and a Candy Cane. I added little strips of white paper that I ran through the crimper.

You really can't see the texture of the cuffs on Santa's pants, but I pulled a piece of white cardstock into. On Mrs. Claus apron I stamped some Holly Berries with leaves and stamped little snowflakes in red on her red dress. I also added a bow to the back of the apron.

These Boxes were so fun and easy to make. Hope you enjoyed seeing them.

But before you move on to the next Elf, I want to let you know that I'm having a little giveaway. I'm giving away a Cute little Stamp Set. Because Christmas to me is all about giving.

Home and Hearth Window Birthday Card!

Hello, Glad you could stop by. I should still be in the kitchen cleaning but I made me a cup of coffee so I thought this might be a good time to get this post made. My Grand Kids will be here in less than an hour and I can tell you now that I won't have time after that.
Today I want to share a Card that I made for my Mom for her Birthday.

I used the fall Image from the Happy Scene Stamp Set again. This time I used It with the new Home and Hearth Window Die that I just got from Stampin Up. Love It!!!

Didn't want to add a lot to the front. So just added some dark brown Hemp Twine with a Leaf Button. The Sentiment is from Stampin Up called Sincere Salutations. The Patterned Paper is from Teresa Collins- Vintage find Paper pad. The Curtain Valance was made using a white doily and I just sponged it In Cranberry Crisp Ink.

That's It for today, Thanks for stopping by. Have a good Day and keep Creating!

Happy Scenes Birthday Card!

 Hello Crafty Friends,

Hope you had a Fun Halloween Weekend. I went Trick or Treating with my Daughter and my two Grand Children.

I Love going and seeing all the kids dressed up. They now close off the busiest streets for the kids. No vehicles allowed.  So much safer.

Here is a picture I took of my Grand Children in their Halloween Costumes.

I Loved their Costumes this year. Scarlett was a little old Lady and Walker went as a Walker (Zombie). Fun times!!!

Today Is a Special Day, It's my baby girls birthday. Well she Isn't a baby anymore, she is all grown up. But our children will always be our babies. If your a Mother you know what I mean.

My daughter LOVES everything about fall. So do I. It's the best time of the year and she also Loves Rustic. So here is her Card.

I was so Excited to get to use my new Stamp Set from Stampin Up called Happy Scenes and also I used my new background Stamp called Woodgrain. Also from Stampin Up.  Love them!

I Inked the background Stamp with Close to Cocoa Ink and stamped it on Soft Sky Cardstock. I then sponged a little Close to Cocoa around the edges. Adhered It to a Dark brown Cardbase.

The Leaves were cut from the " A Child's Year" Cricut Cartridge. Two in Very Vanilla and one in Cranberry Crisp.

Stamped the Image with Close to Cocoa and then used my Blender Pen to color the pumpkins and leaves. Sponges just a tiny bit of the Soft Sky to have a little blue in the sky.

Placed one of the vanilla leaves behind the cranberry crisp one just so it would show up a little more.

Added a Scalloped Border to the bottom in Vanilla and that's It.
It was actually a pretty easy card to make. I Love seeing a Card or project come together.

So that's It for me today. Hope you enjoyed my Card and would Love for you to come back for another visit.

Happy Fall Ya'All and Happy Crafting!

Wishing my Beautiful Daughter Jade a Happy-Happy Birthday!

Bokeh Card

Hello and Good Day to you. Glad you could stop by. I have had a bad cold for over two weeks. Cough all the time. I am so sick of being sick.

Even though I can't stop coughing, I thought I would share a card that I made for my Sisters birthday.
For her Card I thought I would try the Bokeh effect. This was my third attempt at making it. I just didn't care for the first two. So here is the one that I made.

Used Stampin Up Inks Tempting Turquoise and Lavender Lace. Stamped and sponged circles using Whisper White Ink.

The Stamp Set I used is Garden Silhouette (Retired) from Stampin Up. I accidently used clear embossing powder instead of the white. So then I had to emboss over it again in the white. So the Image isn't as crisp as It should be.  I can't remember what Embossing strip I used.

Well that's It for today. I've got to head off to work here in a little while. Think I'll go make me another cup of coffee first.

Thanks for stopping by. Happy Day to you, Cindy

Crochet Baby Blanket!

Hello Crafty Friends, How are you all doing? Enjoying your Summer I hope. Some of you may know I am (Not) a fan of the hot days of Summer.

It's funny, I don't think my Grand Daughter is a fan of hot days either. She came in the other day and told me how hot she was. She said I'm even sweating and I don't sweat.  I had to laugh.

Something that is hard to do in hot weather is Crochet. But my son is going to be opening up a Place for Photography and he told me that he was planning on buying a few Crocheted Baby Blankets and that they were $40.00 a piece. So I told him that if he bought the yarn that I would try to make him a few.

I had never made a Baby Blanket before but I thought I would try to make one for him. So this is my first one that I just finished.

I think It turned out pretty nice.  Hope my son likes It. I guess that's all that matters.  The yarn I used was Bernat  Baby Sport. I had never used a thinner yarn on a blanket before and this yarn had a bunch of of knots in It.   I've heard other talk about this yarn having lots of knots. So I guess it's not just the skein I used.

So I guess I will be starting on a Blue one next. I am thinking of trying two strands at a time on the next one. Not sure yet and maybe try a different pattern.

If you would like to try this pattern. Here is the link...

Baby Blanket

Thanks for stopping by and stay Cool and Crafty friends.

Crafts with Grand Kids

Hi Crafters, It's Independence Day here in America. Hope you all are having a good day.

Going to a Cookout later today. One of the things that I will be taking is a Lemon Cake. My niece Amy is coming from Illinois. She is going to be so excited that I made it. I thought she was going to cry when I didn't bring it for the Christmas party.

Since School has been out for the Summer. My Grand Children and I have been spending a lot of time together. So I have been thinking of things that they can do.

So I decided to have them make Flags that they could hang up for the 4th. So here they are.

They were made by gluing pop sickle sticks together. ( I was in charge of the hot glue gun.) They painted them in Red, White and Blue acrylic paints.Let them dry over night and then stamped the stars using a star stamp that I have in Stampin Up Whisper White Ink.

I think they turned out really Cute and It's something they can hang up every year. They had a good time making them.

I also wanted to share with you, something me and my Grand Daughter made the other day. She ask me to help her make a Gum Ball Machine for her Barbies. (She Loves her Barbies, Monster High Dolls and Ever After Dolls).

She had seen somewhere on the Internet that you can use things around the house to make one. So we gathered up all the things and got to putting it together.

Tah Dah!!!! There you have a Gum Ball Machine. My Grand Daughter Scarlett Loves It and she didn't just want me to take a picture of It. She wanted me to take a picture of It with one of her Monster High Dolls.

Can you tell that  her Monster High Doll Loves her new Gum Ball Machine? Scarlett and I did have alot of Fun making It and we are already planning our next project.

Here are the things we used to make It-
Plastic Gum Ball Container
White Button
Silver Metal Button
One Big Ear Ring for the Base (Looks like from the 80s)
Coffee Stir Straw
Red Bottle Cap
2 white Beads- One is glued on the Inside of the bottle cap to hold straw
Tiny Pom Poms
Hot Glue Gun

Well I hope that you enjoyed seeing the things that my Grand Children have been making. I think one of the most Important things you can give a child, Is your Time.

Thanks for stopping by. Happy 4th of July to you all.
