Flowering Fields of Purple

It's a beautiful Sunday afternoon. So happy that the sun Is shining today. Tired of all the dark gloomy days of winter.

Started the day off by going to Church. The grand kids went with us. My grand daughter kept falling asleep on my shoulder. Was glad my grandson was wide awake to hear the good message today.

Boiling some eggs to make some egg salad. So while those are cooking I thought I would take a minute to share a card with you.

A friend of mine's husband passed away, this Is the card that I have made her.

I used the stamp Set from Stampin Up called Flowering Fields.
Colored flowers with Concord Crush and Old Olive for the stems. I stamped some of the flowers in Going Gray. Cut out Ovals from the Cricut.

The bottom half is embossed, but can not think of the name of the folder. Used my Martha Stewart Score board to score two lines.

Also added some shiny silver twine and a silver sequins.

This was a very simple card to make. But Sympathy Cards are always the hardest ones to make.

I also want to Invite you all to a Blog Hop that I'm going to be In on February the 10th. I'm sure their are going to be a lot of cute and sweet things made. (There will also be  giveaway). Hope you all can make It.

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a blessed day and please stop by again some time.

Desk Top Calendar 2018

Happy New Year to all you paper crafters!!! So glad you could stop by. I have to tell you I was totally a party animal last night on New Years Eve. O.k. fine not really. My husband and I stayed home. Our Grandkids spent the night. Made homemade pizzas and watched a movie. We did watch the ball drop in times square. My grand daughter brought us things to blow at midnight.

The weather has been so cold here. I think last night got below 0. That's just to cold for me. These are the days I wish I had some warm place to go like Florida.

We had a very nice Christmas, I just love watching my Grand Children opening their gifts.

Wanted to share one of the little handmade gifts that I made for my daughter.
It's a desk calendar for her desk at work.

I had so much fun making this. The white plastic holder was originally made to insert a picture in, I just removed the piece of acetate.
My sister and I went shopping at a discount store in Louisville Kentucky one day and I found it. It was only a little over a dollar. Would have gotten more but it was the only one.
(I need to go back to that store).

Printed the calendars on my computer and got the metal rings at the dollar tree. The funnest part was choosing the papers for each month.

I thought It turned out so cute and she really liked It. Today Is the January 1st. I wonder If she remembered to take It to work this morning.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my little crafty project. Hope you come back to visit me this year.

Hope all you paper crafter's have a wonderful year. Looking forward to seeing what you all create this year.

Again, Thanks for stopping by. Happy New year!!!
