Christmas Gift Card/Treat Holders

It's here, It's Christmas Day, The day we celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.

My daughter had to work today, so the the grandkids spent the night. As soon as she gets here we will open gifts and then we will be heading to her house to open gifts and to have Christmas dinner. (The kids are having a hard time waiting)

She Is making everything. I don't have to cook. I don't think I can remember the last time I didn't cook on Christmas.

We went to our sons house last night. Opened presents and he had made a Italian dinner.

I feel so blessed to be alive to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior with my family. As some of you know I had emergency surgery earlier In the year and nearly died.

Finally after a week In the hospital and a month and a half In rehabilitation I got to come home.   I still have to have two more surgeries and not looking forward to them but just so thankful to be home.

So for today I would like to share with you some little gift card/treat holders that I made.

I made several of these and had such a fun time making them. They were really easy to make.

Thought the candy cane looked cute on them. Didn't want to decorate them to much since they will probably be thrown away.

Well that's all for me.

Wishing you all a wonderful day and a very Merry Christmas!

Still Night Christmas Card

***It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas,* Everywhere you go.***  Thought I'd sing a little for you. Hee! Hee!

The days to Christmas seems to be flying by. It's almost here and I'm almost ready.  Need time to slow down just a little so that I can get everything done.

I hadn't made Christmas Cards for a few years and decided to this year. I think what takes the longest Is trying to figure out what to make and then to get an assembly line going.

I made two different designs this year. If you would like to see the other Christmas Card that I made it is on a post a few back.

So here Is one of the cards that I made this year.

Decided on making the cards with the Owl Die Set because I Love Owls and have a collection of them. Even my curtains In my craft room have Owls on them.

Took me awhile to make these cards. I had to make several. In several I mean a lot.

I know you can't tell from the picture but I spayed Pearl Glimmer Mist on them. So they are sparkly. Wish you could see It.

Well It's almost time for us to head off to Church. My Grand Daughter Is going to be reading some verses In Luke about the birth of Jesus.

Thank you for stopping by. Wishing you all a Wonderful Christmas.

Ornament Tags

Hello, Who's ready for Christmas??? Not me! Not yet anyway. But almost.
Thought I would do a quick post and share a few tags that I made. I have made several tags but wanted to share just a few.

My Grand daughter ask me If I could make her a tag with some snow on It so I decided to make her a cute little tag that she can hang on her tree.

It's a shaker Tag, you can't tell but It has some little candy canes,White and red sequins,A silver swirl and some little white balls.
I didn't add a lot of sequins because I wanted her to be able to see the snow on the bottom.
The little Penguin Is cut from the Jolly Holiday Cricut Cartridge.
I think she will really like It. Added red and white baker's twine to hang from and a little felt candy Cane.
I think she will really like It.

I also made a Ornament tag for my daughter. Her's Is not a shaker. But I did put a piece of acetate over It. I know my daughter and she wouldn't want It to be a shaker.  She likes more rustic.

Used the stamp set Cozy Christmas in Early Espresso. Had a little bleeding of the Ink when I added some star dust stickles to the roof.

For the snow I used the new Dazzling Diamonds card stock.
White gel pen for the snow.
Merry Christmas is from a stamp set called Sentiment Jolly Ornaments and the white ribbon is new from Stampin Up called Polka Dot Tulle and added some Jute twine for It to hang.

Also here Is another one I made. Nothing fancy, just fast and simple. Thought I would share as well.

This one was really easy to make. I put to and from on the back. So this one can hang from a tree to.

Well I've got a lot to do so I've got to go. Glad you stopped by. I will be sharing a few more things before Christmas. Hope you can come back.  Have a wonderful day, Merry Christmas!

Hello, It's late Monday night. Well It's after 2 in the morning, so It's actually Tuesday. Have been In my craft room working on some tags. Didn't realize how late it was. Time seems to fly when your working on a project.

It's getting close to Christmas. have a lot more to do before then.

I do think I got done with my gift buying today. That's a good feeling. Need to do some house cleaning and wrap presents tomorrow. Well I mean today.

Still making some tags. My grand daughter Scarlett helped me the other night cut out tag shapes. That helped a lot.

This time a year It just seems like everything is In fast mode.

We get so caught up In the rush to get everything done that we forget the true meaning of Christmas.

For today I would like to share a Christmas Card that I made. I actually made a few of these.

I absolutely Love this Stamp Set and made them fairly quickly. Was going to add some sparkle but my grand daughter didn't think I should. Since these cards are going to my some of my male family members.

Was going to add a banner at the bottom but then decided on tearing some white cardstock to look like snow. Glad I decided to do that Instead. I love the peaceful feel of this card.

Here Is a list of supplies used-
 Stamp Set- Wonderland
Card stock- Crumb Cake and White
Inks- Night of Navy and Crumb Cake

Have a Cozy Christmas Mug Card

Hello, Hope you are having a nice Wednesday. The weather Is cold here today. My Church had It's Christmas dinner yesterday. It was really nice. The pumpkin pies that I made went fast.

For the last couple of days though I have been in some serious pain. My back and hip are hurting so bad. Glad I was feeling a little better yesterday at Church. But today I'm In pretty bad pain again.
Praying It gets better soon.

I have been making Christmas Cards. My craft Room looks like an episode of Hoarder's. Not kidding!

I think that's what has got my back and hip hurting is spending to much time sitting in my craft chair.

Anyway I wanted to make my Niece Amber a Christmas Card. She Is In the Air Force and far from home. I wanted  hers to be different than the other one's that I am making. I do know that her Christmas Tree Is In Red, White and Blue. So made her one with those colors.

I had so much fun using one of my Cricut's to make this card. Seems like I have been using my Stamp Sets so much that my Cricut was feeling a little left out. Hee! Hee!

I think she will enjoy getting It. Hopefully It will make her Christmas a little more happy.

Hey Crafter's, glad you could stop by. It's cold today. Seen some snow flakes awhile ago. Wish we had more fall like days. To cold for me.

My Craftroom Is a mess. Working on Christmas Cards and tonight my Grand Children are spending the night, going to have my Grand daughter Scarlett help me make tags. She doesn't know that we are and will be excited. She loves to play with all the crafty goodies.  I will have to do a little cleaning In there first before we start on the tags though.

Hopefully I can share my Christmas Cards soon but until then I thought I would share this card that I made using the stamp set Flowering Fields.

I think It's such a pretty stamp set. Fun using different colors on the flowers. Decided to not color the Inside of the flowers. Thought It was fine the ways It was and made the process a little faster.

Little Crochet Pumpkins

Hello, Hope you all had a wonderful Thankgiving. Did you all over eat? I know I did and just when I didn't think I could take one more bite I had to eat some dessert.I have to say that the persimmon pudding my daughter made was the best that I have had in years and her homemade rolls are beyond delicious. OK I had better stop talking about food. I'm ready for another plate.

I had been wanting to do some crocheting. I don't do to much crocheting In the summer. But as soon as It starts getting cool weather I start thinking about It again.

So started searching and thinking of what I can make. I like to do small things. I try to stay away from the big projects. That seem to take forever. So I finally decided on trying to make a small pumpkin.

So today I am sharing a picture of a couple that I have made. They are the same pattern but one has the yarn just pulled tighter. Not sure which one that I like best.

These were pretty fast to work up and pretty fun to make. Planning on making some more In different colors. I think I'm going to try a blue one for my grand daughter. (Her favorite color).

The yarns that I used are Red Heart Love In Aran and Red Heart Super Saver In Cafe Latte.

Thanks for stopping by, happy day to you!

Still Night Birthday Card

 Hello Crafter's,
Glad you could stop by, Well now that Halloween Is over, we will all be creating those fall and winter projects. Kind of hard to believe that It's now November.

Today I want to share a birthday card that I made for my Daughter. Her favorite time of year Is fall. ( Mine to) and always try to use fall colors on her cards.

I recently found that fall colored patterned paper at Hobby Lobby and new that It would be perfect to use for my daughter's birthday card.

I think It goes well with the colors of card stock that I used. This Is also the first time that I am using this new stamp set. (I Love It)!!! We both love Owls. So this Is perfect for her card.

I stamped the Owl first In Crumb Cake (Kraft) Ink and then cut out a mask so I could stamp the tree branch and then cut out a circle so that I could sponge the sun.

I felt like It needed a frame and also wanted to have some embossing. So found the frame on the Cricut Cartridge Gypsy Wanderings. Then embossed It and sponged the edges.

Here Is a list of products that I used-

Stamp Sets-
Still Night, Dragonfly Dreams ( for sentiment)
Card stock- Speckled Vanilla (retired),Early Expresso,Soft Sky, Whisper White
Inks- Crushed Curry, Soft Sky, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Crunb Cake
Patterned Paper- Hobby Lobby
Cricut Cartridge  Gypsy Wanderings- Frame
Embossing Folder- Woodgrain
Jute Twine
Yourstory Trimmer for scalloped borders

Looking forward to later today to give her card and gifts to her. Time for me to get off here I need to start her cake.

Halloween Treat Bags for Grandkids

 BOO!!!
Did I scare you??? Since It's Halloween I thought I might try to give you a little scare.

On my last post I shared the candy boxes that I made for Trick or Treater's. Today I want to share with you a couple that I made for my Grandkids.

Our town actually had trick or treating last night. Due to all the rain moving in today and tonight. We are going to get a bunch. Blah!

So my grandkids came last night and got their treat's.

A side view

I knew that all their candy wouldn't fit In these. But a few special treat's did. They also got Yoo Hoo drinks. I get them some every Halloween. My grandson called them Yahoos for years. Ha!

They do hold more than the ones that I made for trick or treater's. The Trick or Treater's also got Halloween cups filled with candy.

These were fun to make. I really enjoy making boxes and bags.

Here Is a list of supplies used-
Stamp Sets- Jars of Haunts, Spooky Cat, Stars and Swirls, Stampendous, Not sure who makes the Spider, Spider Web and tiny black swirls.

Everyday Jars Framelits Die
2 Stitched Circle Dies
Stitched Banner Die
Rectangle Die to make handle

I did have a hard time stamping the rat. I can't stand them. A great fear of mine. I couldn't hardly even look at It. I kept telling my self. It's just a squirrel.  Ha!

The Art of Life (Sympathy Card)

So glad you could stop by. Has been a sad day. My Uncle Clinton passed away earlier today.  It's so hard to believe. He was such a great guy. Loved to play the banjo. Seems like he was always smiling. Even though I am sad I know that he Is rejoicing being reunited with his family In heaven.

There has been several people passing lately and It never gets easy. So hard on the families.

Any of you that have made Sympathy Cards (Especially when needed) know that they are the hardest to make.

Sharing this card that I made for my friend who lost her niece.

Used The Art for Life Stamp Set again for this Sympathy Card. I knew that I had had this Stamp Set for a good while so I thought I would check to see when It was made It's from 2005. I think It's a nice Stamp Set for Sympathy Cards.

Catching Lightning Bugs In a Jar

Hey, Glad you could stop by, Can't believe that June will soon be coming to an end. Time seems to be In fast mode. It has already been over four months since I had my surgery.

When I was growing up I didn't mind the hot days of Summer and could spend hours out side playing.

A fond memory of mine Is going out after dark and catching Lightning Bugs and putting them In a Mason Jar. I would take them to my my bedroom and look at them In the dark for awhile and then let them go.
Have any of you all ever done that?

I know some of you all call them Fireflies. But around here most everyone calls them Lightning Bugs.

Seems like this Summer their are more Lightning Bugs than usual. The Trees look like they are full of twinkling lights. So pretty!

My Sister Tammy and I was talking recently about how many there are. So I decided that was the perfect Birthday Card for her this year.
