Scarlett's Birthday Card & Chocolate/Peanutbutter Bar Recipe

Today Is my Grand daughter's birthday. So I wanted to share with you the card that I made her.

I wanted her card to be about things that she loves.

First she loves Converse tennis shoes. She has a few pairs and wants more and she loves the fact that I also had a pair around her age.

She also loves records. We got her a record player Christmas before last. We gave her some of our old records we had as teenagers. I also gave her some old records that belonged to my Dad.

She also loves red roses so I had to add some to her card. For Christmas I got her a pair of black sweats with a rose on it and she loved them.

I had fun putting this card together and looking forward to giving it to her a little later today.

One of Scarlett's favorite desserts is Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars. She loves them. She also buys them at school for lunch when they have them. So I thought I would share the recipe with you all.

Lunch Room Peanut Butter/ Chocolate Bars

2 C. graham cracker crumbs

Mix all Ingredients together in large bowl. Pour in a sprayed 9x13 pan and spread evenly.

Topping Ingredients -

1 1/2 C. milk chocolate chips

1/4th creamy peanut butter

The Open Sea Card

Hello, So glad you could make it to my blog. The weather is a little chilly today. But the sun is finally shinning.  January seems to be moving fast. Have several projects that I need to be working on.

For my project share today I made a card for my Son's birthday.

I used a stamp set from Stampin Up called The Open Sea. This Is only the second time that I have used this set.

The first time I used it, I had made a birthday card for my brother just about a month before he passed away. So I now have the card I made him sitting up in my craftroom. So I was a little emotional while making this one.

The background stamp is from Stampin Up called World Map

Cardstock colors that I used are Not Quit Navy, Ruby Red and White

Inks- Not Quit Navy and Ruby Red and White

I used a distress tool to rough up the edges of some of the paper. Also used stitched circle dies and a tiny stitched banner die. Wrapped some twine around the banner.

That's all today. Hope you all can come back. Stay safe and stay crafty!

Jars of Love Card and birds

This is my first post of 2021. Hope you all had a nice New Years Eve. My husband and I spent the night at home.

Planned on making a big pot of potato soup, that didn't happen. So we order some pizza from Pizza Hut and had some chips and salsa.

Was kind of sad being home. New Years Eve is when my side of the family gets together for our Christmas party. So I missed being with everyone.

We had a nice Christmas. We had a Christmas dinner at our daughters. Great that they now live right next door.

For my first card share this year I made a birthday card for my niece Amy.

Amy canned a lot this year, so I thought the canning jar images would be perfect. This stamp set is called Jars of Love from Stampin Up. (Love this set).

The sentiment is from a set called Well Scripted. Also from Stampin Up.

The die I used for the decorative border is from  Pretty Pink Posh called Stitched Borders 2.

The cardstocks used are Cherry Cobbler, Soft Sky and white.

Inks I used are-Cherry Cobbler, Soft Sky, Old Olive, Basic Gray, Pretty In Pink and Momento Black.

I was almost done with the card when my grand daughter Scarlett came in and said aren't you going to add a ribbon? I told her that I wasn't for sure if I was or not. She said "You have to".

So she pulled out several and none looked right. She got out the twine and that worked the best. I told her she is a natural. Glad she decided to come over. Thank you Scarlett for helping me.

I also thought I would share a few pictures that I took a few days ago of some of the birds that were in my backyard. I Love birds and could watch them for hours.

Red- bellied Woodpecker

Dark-Eyed Junco

Female Northern Cardinal

Thank you for stopping by and hope that you can make it back.  Hoping that 2021 is a year full of crafting for us all.
