Your Stinkin Cute!!!

I think this Is a first for me, two post in two days. I told you I had been busy.
Yesterday my son came over and ask me If I could make his girl friend a Valentines Card. At first I told him I didn't have time, He wouldn't stop asking.
I ask him If he would like to make her one his self. He wasn't going for that and It's probably a good thing he didn't. I don't know If I would really trust him with my Craft stuff. (From one Crafter to another, You know what I mean right)?
Anyway I finally gave In because I Love him and there was a few Challenges that I was wanting to enter. He decided that a little skunk would be fine. So that's what he got. Here Is the Card that I made.

First I want to say I'm sorry for such a poor quality picture. I took this picture with my phone before he took It.

Kitty Cat Valentine Box

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend. I know I am. The Grandkids spent the night last night. So just enjoying some quiet time to my self tonight. Hubby has gone to bed and I made me a cup of coffee and thought I would get this post made.

I have been spending a lot of time In my craft room lately. One of the things I have been doing Is helping my grand daughter make a Valentine Box for her to take to school. I think I have helped her make her boxes every year that she has been In school. So this would make number four.

But I really don't mind. I actually enjoying spending the time with her and creating something together.

This year she said that she would like a Cat. So we found a box, bought some white felt and got started.

So here Is the Kitty Cat Valentine box that we made.

The head and the tail was made from the Cricut Create a Critter Cartridge. Also used punches. For the feet I did add some yarn and used yarn for the whiskers. Really glad that we decided on using felt instead of cardstock. Looks a lot more like fur.

She Is so excited to take It to school Tuesday.  Well that's all for right now. Will be posting a few other things that I am working on In the next several days.

Enjoy your weekend and God Bless

Happy Birthday little Nerd!

Happy Tuesday to you all. So glad you could stop by. Today Is a Happy Day. My little Grand Daughter turns ten.

I'm not sure how, but ten years have seemed to fly by so quickly. I can remember the moment that she was born like It was yesterday.

Over the passed ten years we have had so much fun together. I call her my crafty side kick. She has told me several times that she Is so glad to have a Crafty Grandma.

My Grand Daughter Is so pretty and Is also very smart. I also call her my little Nerd.

One day we were looking at Greeting Farm Stamps and came across one called Cheeky Geeky. We knew right then that we had to have It.

So for her 10th Birthday I had to make her Card using the stamp. So here Is the Card that I made her.

I have been wanting to try coloring Images for a good while now. So this was my first real try at It. The only colors I have right now are Brown tones. So I used those for the hair and skin.
Since I don't have any other colors yet, I decided I would paper piece the rest. ( First time trying that to.)

I know that I need a lot more practice on coloring. But not to bad for my first try and I'm pretty sure that my little Geeky Nerd will love It.

Here are the supplies that I used to make this Card

The Greeting Farm Stamp- Cheeky Geeky
Stampin Up Blendabilites for hair and skin
S.U Black Marker to color In glasses
S.U. Versa Marker Pin for glasses, eyes and lips
S.U. Clear Embossing Powder- for glasses, eyes and lips
S.U. Blender Pin - to add shading to the skirt and tie
S.U. Scallop Border Punch
Happy Birthday Embossing Folder
Martha Stewart Balloon Punch
Circle Stitch Die
Yellow and White Bakers Twine- Seperated

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful day.

Christmas Stars!

Does anyone else think Christmas comes and goes to quickly? It's always a little sad for me when It's over. I'm not a fan of cold weather, but I do Love Christmas.
I have cried several times this Christmas with It being my first year without my brother. It's also my first year without my Grandma Sophie. But so happy for them that they got to spend Christmas with Jesus and our family and friends that went home before them.

I didn't make any Christmas paper crafts this year. But I did get a few things made.
I did make some Crocheted Stars for my family. Made some In White and some In a light brown. I can't remember the name of It.  I like the rustic homemade look of these with the twine I added to hang them with.

These are Super easy to make. They are actually a flower shape. You get the star shape by sponging 3 parts Modge Podge to 1 part water. (Well that's how I did It). Squeeze out excess glue from star and pin It until dry. I added white glitter to the white ones. I let dry for 24 hours.

Here Is the link to the Crocheted Stars-   Crochet-Star-Ornaments

Also wanted to show you something I gave to my daughter for an extra little gift.

I cut the top out of a mach box and put it in the lid of a cute little Jar that I got from Hobby Lobby and put the matches In It.
Isn't this a cute way of keeping your matches. My Daughter thought It was Great! Planning on making some more of these.

I guess this Is the end of my post. Thanks for stopping by. I'm wishing you all the best for the new year. God Bless!

A Day to Remember

Hello crafty friends, I wanted to share a Card with you all that I made my mom for her Birthday.

But before I do, I would like to tell you the about where I got the Inspiration for the Card.

As some of you all know I lost my brother a few months ago. It Is still very hard for me to deal with.

After he passed away my siblings and I only had ten days to get everything out of his apartment. It was a big job, but somehow, we got It done.

He had a lot of antiques, so we had an Antique dealer come In. He was a good friend of my brothers. He bought a truck load of stuff. Was very thankful he bought so much. Because we didn't have long to get everything out.
But there were still several things that we thought might make more money If we sold them rather than having the dealer buy them. Any money that we were making was going to use for funeral expenses, bills and for a tombstone.

So we packed it all up in totes and a lot of it my sister and I brought to my house. While we were starting to take totes out of her car, a Black and purple Butterfly kept going from the trunk, to inside the car and to my porch sitting on the totes. It kept doing it over and over. We felt as though it was our brother letting us know he was o.k.

So later that night I was talking to my mom on the phone and was telling her about the butterfly. She loved hearing the story.

So, the next day she called me and told me that she had went outside and a Black and Purple Butterfly wouldn't leave her alone. So, we think it was him visiting her to.

So, I wanted my Mom's Birthday Card to remind her of that special day, and I also wanted it to be more than just a card. So, I decided to make an Easel Card.

I added a piece of light purple vellum so that she can see the butterfly even in the dark.

A lot of Love went into making this card for my mom. I wanted It to be extra special for her. I even made the card in my brother's favorite colors Orange and Purple.

Supplies that I used-

Stamp Sets-

Stampin Up- Wild about Flowers

A Day to Remember- My Creative Time- Cherish this Moment

Stampin Up- Wood Grain Background Stamp

Cardstock-
Blackberry Bliss
Pumpkin Pie
Very Vanilla

Inks-

Thank you so much Aracelli

I also added some purple Seam Binding.

Pumpkin Card

Hello Crafter's, I am trying to come to grips with It already being November and It seems like this month is flying by.

This Month Is not starting off very good.  Our 18 year old cat is getting close to the end of her life and It Is so upsetting. She has been such a good cat. My daughter found her sitting in the snow all alone when she was about 8 weeks old. There was no houses around.  So she couldn't just leave her there.
Never had to worry about getting a mouse in the house. She would find it before I even knew it was in the house. Also our furnace stopped working the other day. So will just have to wait and see what else will happen this month.

So on a happier note, I wanted to share a card that I made for my Daughter.

She Loves Fall and Loves Blues and Browns, so I wanted to make her card a card that I knew she would like.

When I was trying to figure out what kind of card to make her, I seen a video by May May made It. I Love watching her video's and she also has a facebook group called  May May Made It and so did I.   .

She made a pumpkin card from using a coloring page and cutting it into pieces.

For the Cardbase I used Chocolate Chip Card Stock
Very Vanilla for the Stem and embossed it with a woodgrain Embossing folder.
Cut the leaves from Gold Cardstock and scrunched them

Papers-  6x6 Paper Stack by Reflections
6x6 Paper Stack (Vintage Finds) Teresa Collins

Sponged around Pumpkin and paper pieces with Close to Cocoa Ink and added a sheer light yellow bow. I didn't add a sentiment to the front because my Daughter prefers It that way. So she can sit it up as a fall decoration.

You can find the video how to make the card on youtube. Just put in Pumpkin Card Tutorial and it will come up under Maymay made it

Let me know If you make one, I would like to see It.

Thank for stopping by. Wishing you a beautiful Fall day!
