Mom's Birthday Card & Recipe

Hey crafters, so glad that you could stop by. For today's card I made a birthday card for my mom. Added lots of glitter. She loves things that sparkle.

She just turned 88 and my family and I are so blessed to still have her in our lives.

In September she had a bad fall and fractured her femur, pelvic and lower spine. She had to have surgery and then had to go to rehabilitation for a while. She is now recovering at my sister's home and is improving every day.

It was so wonderful for us to get together to celebrate her birthday. Loved seeing her make a wish and blow out her candles. 💖

A few weeks ago, I made a peanut butter pie. It is so creamy and delicious, so I thought I would share the recipe with you all.

Peanut Butter Crumble Pie

Ingredients needed

1 -1/2 cup of milk

1/2 cup peanut butter

1/4th cup peanut butter

3 ounce box of vanilla pudding

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 container of cool whip

1 pie crust

First make some peanut butter crumbs to go on the top and bottom of the pie.

In medium bowl add powdered sugar and 1/4th cup of peanut butter. With electric mixer mix together until it makes crumbs.

If it doesn't come together enough just add a few drops of water and mix. Add 1/2 of the crumbs to the bottom of the pie.

Now for the filling, with electric mixer, mix dry pudding mix, milk and 1/2 cup of peanut butter together for 2 or 3 minutes. Then fold in cool whip.

Pour into pie shell, add rest of the crumbs to the top and add some cool whip around the edges. Chill pie for at least 2 or 3 hours. I let mine set for longer though. Usually overnight

My granddaughter Scarlett came over and help me make this pie. For the cool whip we put it in a sandwich baggie and snipped the corner to add it to the top of the pie. She enjoyed doing that. I love when she gets to come over and cook and bake with me. Making precious memories

Sorry for the long post. If you try the pie recipe, let me know how it turned out. Hope you have a great day. Blessings to you all.

Autumn Birthday Card

Hello there, Thanks for stopping by. Can't get over that it will soon be Halloween. It will be Christmas before we know it.

Haven't been crafting as much as I would like to, have been having a a lot of trouble with my back. It's really hard for me to sit for very long on my craftroom chair.

I did manage to get a card done and wanted to share it with you all.

For this card I used a cute stamp and die set from Scrappy Boy Stamps called Happy Fall Y'all.

Colored the images with Arrtx colored pencils. I used a blending pen from Tim Holtz to blend the colors. ( Love that pen)

Used a stitched die to cut out the little cloud. The blue cardstock is made of a textured material. I actually got it from the Dollar Tree awhile back. It came in a paper pack with all sorts of different types of cardstock and in different sizes.

Also used a rectangle scallop die and the orange polka dot paper is from Stampin Up. Cardstock used is Early Expresso from S.U. and white. The sentiment is from a foam stamp set that I got years ago.

A few months ago my granddaughter Scarlett ask me if I would make her a little glow in the dark ghost. So I ordered some yarn from Amazon and made this little cutie.

I hadn't crocheted for a good while so I was a little rusty. Ordered the eyes from Temu and the black sheer sparkle ribbon is from Stampin Up. The inside is filled with poly fill.

This little spooky girl was fun to make and my granddaughter was so surprised. She didn't think I would make it.

Hope you enjoyed your visit to my blog today and hope you have a wonderful day.

18th Birthday Card

Hello everyone, glad you stopped by. My card for today is for my grandson Walker. He is turning 18, he is all grown up. Well legally he's considered a grown up. But to a grandmother they are never really grown. Right?

So, for his card I knew that I wanted to keep it as simple as possible. Because that's what he prefers.

Typed the words on my computer and printed it out. Then cut it out in a shape with my Cricut. For the little black and white strips, I used the inside of an envelope. I knew those used envelopes I saved would finally come to use. You know us card maker's we see something and think Oh I could use that on a card. Ha!

That's all for me today, I have some baking to do for my grandson's birthday. Hope you all have a wonderful day.

You Are My Happy Card

Hey Crafter's, Thanks for taking the time to visit. For my card share today I have created my very first Mini Slimline card.

I used a stamp set from Close to My Heart called Ice Cream Dream

to make the Ice cream bar. Colored it with Arrtx and Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

For the little dots on the background I used a retired stamp from S.U. called Itty Bitty Backgrounds. I use that set so much. It's one of those sets that I could never part with.

I wanted some larger dots but didn't want them perfectly shaped, so I used an eraser on a pencil and it worked great.

The colors of ink that I used were pumpkin pie, bashful blue and memento black.

I will definitely be making some more slimeline cards, love the size.

Thanks for stopping by, would love for you to leave me a comment.

Have a great day!

Mushroom Card & Recipe

Hello, glad you stopped by. I have a card to share today. I needed a couple of birthday cards so I decided to use a new stamp that I had actually won from In Love Art Shop. The stamp is called Hello Autumn.

 Supplies used-

Mushroom stamp- In love Arts

Sentiment- from S.U Best Birds stamp set

Cardstock- Red, White and black

Alcohol Markers

Sponge

Satin Ribbon

Also thought I would share a recipe with you for (No bake) baked beans. I have been making these for years. I love baked beans but I think alot of times they tend to dry out after being baked and I really don't like that.

Also in the heat of summer I don't like to use the oven as much. So I came up with this recipe to make on the stove top.

(No Bake) Baked Beans

Ingredients needed

One large can (19.75 oz.) Campbell's Pork and Beans

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4th cup ketchup (I use a little less)

1/2 tsp. mustard

1/4th tsp. chili powder

In medium saucepan add all ingredients and mix well. Heat up till it just starts to boil.

This is super easy and quick to make. Everyone that has tried it says that it's really good. So if you like baked beans but don't want to mess with heating up the oven, you might want to give this a try.

Also this is a family size. But you would want to make more for a get together with family and friends.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great week.

July Birthday Card

Hello and welcome to my blog. Can you believe that we are already in the month of July. This year seems to be flying by.

Made a birthday card for one of my sister's. So of course I had to share it with you all.

Made this card using a napkin. I thought it was so pretty and perfect for my sister. It was super easy to make. Added a Happy Birthday sentiment and also added three diamond gems to the center of a few of the flowers. and it was done.

I also thought I would share another recipe with you. This one is for Orange Fluff. I have been making this about once a week to give to my Mom. She is in love with it and says is the best dessert in the world.

Seriously she wants it as soon as she wakes up and again before going to bed. Since she loves it so much of course I have to keep making it.

Orange Fluff

Ingredient's needed

One 24 oz. container of cottage cheese

1 small box orange jello

1 cup coconut flakes

1 can off mandarin oranges (drained well)

3/4th bag of miniature marshmellos

1 tub of cool whip

I large bowl add cottage cheese and jello (mix well)

add coconut and marshmallow. Mix

add well drained mandarin oranges. (I chop them up some) mix

add cool whip last and mix well. Keep in container with lid in the refrigerator over night.

That's it from me today. Hope you all have a great 4th of July. Thanks for stopping by.

Banjo Pickin Pig Card

Hello, Glad you stopped by. I had a request from someone wanting a  card for a guy for Father's day and they wanted a banjo on it. So when I came across this image I thought it would be perfect.

On the left side of the image there was a little place messed up so I added a strip of jute twine to hide it.

I stamped grass in blue on the musical note paper. To represent (Bluegrass Music). The grass stamp is retired from Stampin Up.

Sorry the picture quality isn't the best. I think he will really like it. It actually looks a lot like him. The guy is also bald. Hee! Hee!

That's It for me. Hope you all are doing well. Have a good day and God bless!
