Avant Garden Card and Blueberry Crumble Recipe

Hello, Hope you all are well, so glad that you took the time to stop by my blog.

Awhile back I was on one of the craft pages on facebook and had told someone that I loved the butterflies that she had used on her card. She was so sweet that she offered to send me some. It was so sweet of her.

I received them and she sent several. So of course I had to make her a Thank you card and also cut out some dies to send her. So wanted to share the card that I made for Louanne from Canada.

 Products used-

Stamp Sets- S.U. Avant Garden
Sentiment- S.U. Sincere Salutations
Card stock- Purely Pomegranate, Old Olive, White
Designer Paper from Stampin Up
Ink- Purely Pomegranate,Pretty in Pink,Old Olive
White Satin Ribbon

I also wanted to share a recipe with you. My niece Audrie messaged me and told me she had left us a few things on the front porch. So sweet of them to think of us. One of the things was a big bag of frozen blueberries. So I decided to make a Blueberry Crumble. So thought I might share it with you all.

Blueberry Crumble

 You will need

6 cups of blueberries
1/2 cup sugar (I added a little more than that.)
3 Tbs. flour

Topping

1/2 cup brown sugar
3/4th cup flour
1 cup oatmeal  (old fashioned or quick oats) I used quick
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4th tsp cornstarch
1 stick softened butter

For the bottom- make just like for topping

Butter bottom and sides of 9x13 pan. Mix ingredients together for bottom layer and add to pan, pressing down. Make topping and set aside.

In large bowl add blueberries. In another bowl combine sugar & 3 Tbs of flour, mix and pour over blueberries and mix.

Pour blueberries in pan and add top layer of oat mixture.

Bake in a preheated oven at 350 for 45 minutes. Let cool for at least 30 minutes.

I served it with vanilla ice cream  and it was delicious. We dropped off some to my daughter and grandkids and also took some to my sister. They all said it was really good. My brother in law is wanting the recipe.

So happy that you decided to stop by. Hope you enjoyed seeing my card and hope you give this recipe a try. If you do please let me know how it turned out.

Hope you can make it back for another visit.  Would love for you to leave a comment. If you do I will come visit you.  May God bless you and keep you safe.

  7. Love your card! I always think it's fun when someone pulls out an older stamp set and retired paper/colors to play with :) And that blueberry crumble looks AMAZING. I haven't had breakfast yet and if I could reach through the computer screen, I'd be grabbing that! Thanks for playing along at SUO Challenges, hope to see you for the new challenge starting today!

  11. I love our crafting community. That was very nice of her to send you some butterflies and so kind of you to send a beautiful card back!

That blueberry crumble looks delicious. I have made a path in our woods and planted some blueberry bushes along the way. They say to pull off the green blueberries this year, so next summer I will have lots and lots!

    Hugs,
    Chriss
