Fun Fold Fall Flower Card

Hello, So glad you had a minute to stop by. It's the morning of Thanksgiving Day. I wanted to get this posted early because I have a lot more cooking to do.

Got my desserts and deviled eggs done last night. Glad I got them done a head of time..

I have a fun fold card to share with you today. I have no idea if this type of card has a proper name. But that's what were calling this one.

I am always needing thank you cards so for this one I wanted to use one of my older stamp sets from Stampin Up called Still Life Stems.  .

I was watching one of the youtube crafter's that I follow and she made a card like this. I knew it would be the perfect card for my flower image.

Used Crushed Curry cardstock from S.U. and embossed it with the  embossing folder from S.U. called Tasteful Textile. The background paper is from a 12x12 paper pack that I got several years ago.

I colored the flower with alcohol markers. The flower is stamped on a die cut from S.U. and the little die cut Thanks I had in my stash. I also die cut the same shape for the inside but one size smaller.

I really like how it turned out and it was fun to create. If you would like to see how it was created. Search for  Stamping With Amore on youtube. The video is called Fun Fold Christmas Card tutorial.

Since It's Thanksgiving I thought I would share my recipe for pumpkin pie with you all.

Pumpkin Pie

"Ingredients needed"

1can of pure pumpkin

1 cup milk

2 or 3 eggs

1 Tbs.cornstarch

1/4th tsp cinnamon

3/4th cup sugar

1 tsp vanilla

Pinch of salt

Preheat oven to 375 and sit out frozen premade crust to thaw or make one from scratch.

In small bowl mix milk and cornstarch together

In large bowl combine all ingredients together.

Place pie crust on cookie sheet or pizza pan

Add foil around crust to prevent burning.

Fill pie and bake for 10 minutes at 375.

Then bake for around 40 minutes at 350.

Since my oven cooks hotter in the back, I turn the pie around at 20 minutes for even cooking and will lightly cover with foil near the end if it looks like it may burn.

Cool completely and enjoy. Oh and don't forget to add cool whip.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my card. Would love to know if you try the recipe.

Would also love for you to leave me a comment. Thanks for stopping by.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Tiny ornament Inchie Card

Happy Monday, Hard to believe that it will be Thanksgiving in a few days. I do have a quick card share for today. I decided to make one more inchie card. They are so quick to make. So I thought why not one more.

The challenge over at AAA Challenge Blog is to create a card using a one inch square or circle. The cardstock has to be smooth with no layers or embossing.

No sentiments or anything can be on the outside of the square or circle and nothing from within the square or circle can be sticking out.

I cut out a one inch square in red glitter cardstock. The little ornament is from an older stampin Up set called Little Holiday Wishes and colored it with S.U. markers. I also used a white gel pen. Cut it out with a little stitched square die.

It's actually been fun getting to use some of my tiny little stamps.

It is a bit of a challenge though. The hardest part is having the urge to add a sentiment to the front. But that's part of the challenge rules.

Thanks for stopping by. My next post will be on Thanksgiving. If you get a chance stop back by. Have a great day!

Santa One Inchie Card

Hello Everyone, hope your having a nice weekend. Not sure if you seen my last post. I had made a Inchie card. Well I decided to make another one. (Sorry for the picture quality. For some reason my camera would not focus).

Over at the AAA Challenge blog they are having a challenge where you have to create a card with a 1 inch square or circle on the front. The card front has to be smooth, No embossing or anything outside of the 1 inch area. Nothing can be hanging out side of the square either.

I decided on another Christmas card and thought it would be fun to make a 1 inch Santa outfit.

As you can see this card was pretty easy to make. Cut a 1 inch square in red and added a strip of black for the belt and a tiny piece of yellow for the belt. I used a piece of white pipe cleaner for the fur on the bottom of Santa's outfit. Thought that was a fun added touch.

Have you ever made a Inchie card? There actually fun to make. It's definitely a bit of a challenge to create something within 1 inch.

If you would like to challenge yourself and make one there is still time. The challenge ends on the 27th.

That's going to be it for today.  Enjoy your weekend!

Hot Cocoa Inchie Card

Happy Thursday, So glad you could stop by. Hope you are finding some time for some card making. I have been having fun creating some projects for several challenges.

Today I have a hot cocoa card to share.

This card is 4x4 size and the image is exactly one inch. One of the challenges from AAA Cards is to make a inch square or circle on a smooth cardstock with nothing else on the card. Nothing can be sticking out from the one inch boundary either.

The stamp set is from Recollections called Winter Wonderland. Used a alcohol marker and a S.U. marker to color the image. Also took a black marker and added a black boarder around the square too help it show up against the white cardstock.

This card will probably be my last card that I link up for the Fall/Winter Coffee Lover's Blog Hop. I might get a chance to create another one.

This card is #835 in the link up

My other projects I linked up are #127, #339, #467, #612 and #699

I love that this card was so quick to make. It was hard for me not to add a sentiment. But had to follow the rules.

That's It from me today, Would LOVE for you to leave a comment.

Hope you all have a nice Thanksgiving.

Warm Winter Wishes Christmas card

Hello and happy hump day (Wednesday). I have been busy, busy, busy in my craftroom creating cards for the Fall/Winter Coffee Lover's Blog Hop and also for some other challenges.

For today's card I made a Christmas card. This is my first one this year.

I used a Close to My Heart stamp set called You warm my heart. I hardly ever use the color pink. Have never been a big fan of the color, but I do like it for Christmas. So, I decided this card was going to have some pink.

I stamped the first cup in Cool Caribbean Ink from S.U. Stamped the red flower stamp, also from the set in the center and added a gem to the center. I used an alcohol marker to color the gem. Also stamped the red flower image all over the pink cardstock.

For the second cup I added some black and white patterned paper. I used a curved stitched die to create the white wrap. Then stamped HO HO HO a crossed it.

The candy canes are also from the You Warm My Heart Set. Snowman paper is from The Paper Studio. Used some scalloped black cardstock behind the paper.

Wrapped some Christmas twine around the bottom sentiment. Both sentiments are from Cardz TV. The set is called Tiny Tidings. Also stamped a little blue snowflake.

This card is #699 in the Link up. My other cards that I entered is #127, #339, #467, and #612.

Thanks for stopping by. I will have another card share tomorrow. Hope you can make it back.

Coffee Tiles Card

Hello crafter's, Today I have another coffee card to share with you. I created this card by using a product from STAMPlorations   called Coffee Tiles-Ephemera.

STAMPlorations had sent me this coffee image in an order, and I had to make a card with it.

Card base is white, Next layer is Chocolate Chip cardstock. Decided to do something a little different for the paper. So, I just cut two side panels at a diagonal so that It would show a strip of the cardstock.

I had received the paper in some happy mail, and I really like it. It has a shine to it and has a retro feel.  The stitched die cut is from Stampin Up and the sentiment is from Trinity Stamps called Hello Sweet Friend.

I have entered this card into the Link Up over at the Fall/Winter Coffee Lover's Blog Hop. This card is entry #612. My other entries are #127, #339 and #467.

Have you joined in the fun and made a project? If not, there is still time.

PERK UP, It's your Birthday!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another card share for you.I created this card for my sister Debbie. As soon as I seen this Image I thought of her. With the curler for the bangs, drinking her coffee and her kitchen is done in teal. So this was the perfect birthday card for her.

This fun image is from Dearie Dolls digi Stamps. Colored with alcohol markers. Can't remember where I got the Perk Up sentiment. Not for sure if it is one that I purchased or if it was offered as a freebie. If anyone recognizes it please let me know.

The other sentiment is from a little used set from e-bay. A surprise from my husband. The little teal dots are from scrapes from cutting out dies. I thought they may look cute.

This card will be my third entry into the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

I have been enjoying lots of coffee while hoping along and seeing all of the projects. There are some talented paper crafter's.

This card is #467 in the Link Up. My other entry's are #127 and #339   .

Hope you get a chance to make a project.

Latte Love Thank You Card

Hello Crafter's, I'm back today with another coffee themed project. I have been having so much fun hoping along on the Fall and Winter Coffee Lover's Blog Hop and Linky Party. The Inspiration is just incredible. I couldn't help myself, I just had to make another one.

Love that Coffee Cup, it's from a stamp set called Latte Love from STAMPlorations.

Kept it simple by stamping the image on Crumb Cake cardstock from Stampin Up. The base of the card is also in Crumb Cake.

The coffee bean top layer was done in Chocolate Chip cardstock from S.U and cut on my Cricut. The sentiment is from a set called Pocket Silhouettes from Stampin Up and stamped on a small, stitched banner die.

I am always needing thank you cards, and I think this coffee themed one will be perfect to send out to someone.

If you are interest in the Latte Love stamp set. Here is a link-

Got Up... Got Coffee Note Holder

Hello Crafter's, It's the 12th of November. It's a day that I have been looking forward to. It's the first day of the 2021 Fall/Winter Coffee Lover's Blog Hop. EKK!!! So exciting!

I always have so much fun during this hop and of course I had to make a coffee project.

Not very often but every now and then, I like to draw, usually while watching tv. A while back I drew this Image and thought it was cute enough to color and create a project with it.

So here is my coffee themed project

For my project I decided to make a note pad holder so that I could enjoy it in my craft room.

I colored my owl and branch image in alcohol markers. I made up the sentiment and printed it out in Cricut Design Space.

I named my owl, Owlene. I couldn't help singing Dolly Parton's song Jolene and changing the name to Owlene. Ha!

Owlene still looks a little sleepy but she's got Jesus and coffee in her purple cup, so she's all good and has everything she needs to start the day.

The brown cardstock is Close to Cocoa from Stampin Up and I embossed it with a woodgrain embossing folder. The patterned paper is from a 12x12 paper pad I have. I made some speckles around the image from a stamp set called Itty Bitty Backgrounds from S.U. the ink used was Bashful Blue. I also added some jute twine.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my coffee project and hope you get a chance to create a coffee project for the link up.

My Coffee project is #127 on the Linky

Mom's Birthday Card

Hello and welcome to my blog. Glad you could stop by. My Mom's birthday will be in a few days. She's all exciting, counting down the days. So, for today I am sharing the card I made for her.

I decided to make her an easel card. Hadn't made her one in awhile. If you have never made an easel card, they are super simple to make. There is several video's on youtube.

The pretty image on the card is a napkin. I think it's so pretty and I thought the colors looked like fall. I decided to add a frame so that the focus is on the bird.

The cardstock used is Groovy Guava from Stampin Up. Not sure where I got the shiny cardstock that I used for the frame and behind the sentiment. There was just a little left in my scraps. I think it's from Stampin Up.

The sentiment is from S.U. The set is called Well Scripted. The satin ribbon was white, but I colored it with a alcohol marker so that it would match the creamy cardstock. I also colored the gem with another alcohol marker to match. Love being able to change the colors to what I need.

I also had a little piece of the napkin left with this sweet little bird on it. There was no way that I was going to throw it away. So, I made a little tag. I will be saving this to add to a card later on.

I will be spending a few days with my mom for her birthday. I'm sure she will like her card. I think she enjoys my cards more than anyone. I feel very blessed to still have her.

I'm also going to be making some Spinach Tortellini in the crock pot to take some to her. She loves it and hasn't had any for probably a year. My grandson has been asking for me to make it again. It is really good, and I love it when the weather gets cold. If you would like to try it, It's on my side bar to the right. Just scroll down and you will see it.

Well, I guess that's going to be it for now. I will be having several posts coming up. I think my next one will be on the 12th after I get back from my mom's. Hope you can make it back.

Mason Jar Thanks Card

Hello, Glad you stopped by. I have a card share today.

I was needing a thank you card and decided to use the Jar of Love  mason jar die again. I had used it on my last card as well.

I had die cut several mason jar shapes in different colors, so I thought I would go ahead a use another one on a card.

For this one I used Kraft cardstock for the base. Next layer is Not Quite Navy cardstock. The paper is from a 6x6 paper pack from Reflections.

The jar was cut out in Kraft cardstock, The cardstock for the lid was in my stash of small pieces of cardstock.  Used Close to Cocoa Ink to sponge around the jar and lid.

Stamped the Thanks in Not Quite Navy and it's from the Jars of Love Stamp Set. Also added some Jute twine.

This card came together fairly quick. Was glad to finally find a use for the piece of paper.

On my last post I had posted that I was planning on making Rice Krispie Treats. I did and they were a big hit with the Trick or Treater's and my family of course.

I may or may not have had a few myself. So I wanted to share the recipe with you all.

This recipe is so simple to make and it only takes 5 ingredients.

Rice Krispie Treat's

-Ingredients-

10 cups rice crispy cereal

2 10- oz.bags of miniature marshmallows

1 stick of salted butter

1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

In large bowl add 10 cups of the cereal and set aside. Line a 9x13 baking pan with aluminum foil. Could also use parchment paper then spay with cooking spray or lightly rub some butter to the pan.

Heat up butter over a low heat. After melted add vanilla and salt. Then add marshmallows (But keep out 2 cups of the marshmallows).

Stir until all is melted. Pour mixture over the cereal. Then add the two cups of marshmallows. Mix gently until all combined.

Pour into the prepared 9x13 pan. Press down but not to hard using a spatula or wet hands with water and press. The water will keep the mixture from sticking to you.

Cool down to room temperature uncovered or cover loosely with foil.

Tip- fresh marshmallows melt better than one's you have had for awhile.

That's it for this yummy treat. Love that there is no baking needed. and it's a fun one to do with kids or grandkids.

So that's going to be all from me today. Hope you all have a wonderful week.
