Card for Ryleigh

Hey, How are you all doing tonight? I am sitting In my craft room staring at the big mess I have created all over my work space. I have several projects going and then today I stopped everything and created a card for a girl named Ryleigh.

Ryleigh Is 10 years old and her birthday is actually tomorrow. She Is battleling Lukemia and has ask for birthday cards.

I don't know her or her family and just seen the post on Facebook last night so I have been busy making her a card. I know that she will receive the card late but I'm sure she will still enjoy it.

Used the Stampin Up stamp set Sweet Scoops. Thought It would be good for a quick card. I did start up the Cricut to cut out the black circle. It's a free image on Design Space.

Adding Ryleigh's name and address in case you would like to send her a card.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a great night and hope you can come back again.

Dragonfly Dreams

Hello Crafter's. So glad you could stop by. Pretty September morning here in Indiana. Will be heading out to Church in a little while.

Today I wanted to share a  birthday card that I made for my sister Christy.

I have had that pretty paper for months and I couldn't take it anymore. I knew that I was going to use it in my next project.

So added it to the birthday card I made for my sister. I'm pretty sure that I picked it up at Joann's.

I knew the bottom of the card needed something so I added some grass. I think it really helped add to the card.

I do want to give a little credit to my grand daughter Scarlett. She had messaged me and ask me what I was doing. When I told her I was working on a card, she wanted me to send her a picture of it. She thought I should add the little dots to the background. So I did and I think It made it look a lot better. I told her she was a natural crafter. Thank you Scarlett for the suggestion.

Loving how this card turned out with the pretty dragonflies flying in front of the sun. So pretty, I'm sure she will love it.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today. We crafty bloggers love other crafters to visit don't we?

Would love for you to leave a comment. If you do I will be sure to come visit you. Happy Day to you all!

  Happy Birthday Christy!!!

Big Daisy Hello Card

Hello, Hope your doing good on this beautiful Thursday. So glad you could stop by. It is hot here today. Has been all week. I just got home, I have been staying with my Mom for the past few days. She didn't want me to leave. Hopefully I can spend another night with her soon.

I was needing a card to send to a friend that has been having some health issues and just wanted her to know that my family and I are thinking of her.

So I decided on using the Big Daisy Embossing folder. It was perfect because years ago she painted me a daisy on canvas and gave it to me for Christmas.

Tried doing some water coloring. Umm, not the best, but went with it anyway. Added hello from a die and used a S.U. border punch.

Cardstocks that I used are- Whisper White, Strathmore Bristol - for water coloring, Yo Yo Yellow, Basic Black

Inks- Marina Mist, YoYo Yellow, Mellow Moss, Old Olive and Basic Black

Several of us in my family will be signing this. I'm sure she will love knowing that we are all thinking of her.

Again, thank you for stopping by. Hope you have a super week and stay crafty my friends.

Free as a bird Hello and Recipe

Hello, Thanks for stopping by. Today I want to share a card with you that I made for one of my sweet aunts.

She Is going thru some very difficult times right now with some health issues. Won't post details, but I just want her to know that I am thinking of her and that she is in my prayers.

I do love how this one turned out. I think that floral paper is so pretty. It's from The Paper Studio called Floral Cluster's with leaves.
It went perfect with the Cameo Coral cardstock. Didn't realize I didn't have that ink color though. I also used Always Artichoke and white cardstock.

Love that sweet little bird stamp. I am always saying their Isn't enough bird stamps out there. I have seriously thought about making my own bird designs. But was glad when this stamp set came out.

Stamped the bird in Momento Black and colored it  with my aqua painter in Crumb Cake,Blush Blossom and a little Barely Banana for the beak. I used Always Artichoke for the leaves.

Also used an embossing folder called Quatrefoil, stitched square die, stitched circle die and some jute twine.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my card today. Hope that it will be uplifting to my Aunt Loretta. Please say a prayer for her.

On my last post I had said that I was going to be making some corn casserole for a party. I was planning on taking a picture and sharing the recipe. I totally forgot.

But I had saved a little so I could have some to bake at home so I took a picture and want to share with you the recipe.

 Corn Casserole

(This recipe is for a 9x13 pan)

Preheat oven to 350

In large bowl combine-

2 boxes of Jiffy cornbread
2 cans of whole kernel corn (drained)
2 cans of cream style corn
2 cups -sour cream
5 eggs
2 sticks of melted butter
  3/4th cup of Sugar

Mix well and pour into sprayed 9x13 pan. Bake for 1 hour. Ovens do vary. keep an eye on it. You may need to bake a little less or a little more.

Super simple recipe. My grand daughter is a very picky eater and wouldn't try corn casserole.

But when she got off the bus and I had this little dish of it that I had just pulled out of the oven, she said well I guess I can give it a try, she LOVED It!

I was so glad that she tried it. I am always telling her to just take a bite of something new so to know if you like it or not.

If you have never made It and you give it a try, let me know how it turns out.

Again, thank you for stopping by. May your day be filled with happiness and blessings.
