Flower Birthday Card & Cinnamon Zucchini Bread Recipe

Hello,  Happy Thursday to you all. So happy you made it here. I have a Birthday card to share with you today.

I needed to make a birthday card for one of my sister's and I was really wanting to make something with my Cricut.

Awhile back I had gotten an SVG file from Simply Crafty SVGs of a flower so I thought I would start up my Cricut and give it try.

Now I have to say I was a little frustrated making this card because the blade on the Cricut is getting dull and was snagging on the cardstock. I finally changed the settings and it did help.

(Note to self)- Change blade before using Cricut again.

I think the card turned out o.k but one problem I found after it was finished is it won't sit up.

I tried coming up with something that I could add to help it but couldn't come up with anything.

I'm sure she will still like it and it is a cute design. Simply Crafty SVGs has so many great SVGs and they have several free one. This Flower card was also free and it also came with a envelope.

I embossed the blue card stock with a Big Shot Texture plate from Stampin Up called Perfect Details.

Here is a link if you would like to check them out.

I also have another recipe to share with you all today. I have several Zucchini and decided I would make some Cinnamon Zucchini bread and wanted to share it with you all.

Cinnamon Zucchini Bread

Ingredients you will need-

1 c. shredded Zucchini
2 eggs
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1/2 c. plain greek yogurt
1tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1/2 c white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Preheat oven to 350. Spray and line the bottom of a loaf pan with parchment paper.

In a small bowl add 1/2 c. white sugar and 1 Tbsp cinnamon. Mix and set aside.

In a large bowl add dry ingredients. flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix and set aside

In another large bowl add shredded Zucchini, eggs, oil, yogurt and vanilla, Mix

Sift dry ingredients into wet ingredients. Stir just until fully mixed. Don't over mix. Over mixing causes large bubbles in bread.

Pour half the batter in loaf pan. Add half of the cinnamon/sugar mixture over the batter.

Add remaining batter and then add the rest of the cinnamon/sugar mixture. Take a knife and run in through the batter to make swirls.

Bake at 350 for around 60 minutes. Ovens due vary in temperature.

To prevent burning, I cover mind with aluminum foil for the last 15-20 minutes. You may not have to do that. My oven tends to burn things if I'm not careful.

Let bread cool some before taking out of pan. This bread is also good with pecans or walnuts.

I think that's it for this post. If you make this recipe, let me know how it turns out.

Happy Day to you and remember to always spread kindness where ever you go. God Bless!

Fishing Nut

Hello, Hope you all are doing well, So glad that you made it to my blog.
Tomorrow is Father's Day, So I thought I would share the card I made my hubby.

My husband is truly a nut about fishing and has done fishing tournaments since he was a teenager.

So when I seen this cute Image from Bugaboo, I just had to make a card.

My husband only uses carrot stick rods and he has a orange carrot stick hat. So I  colored the rod and hat orange.

Thought it would be cute to add Papaw to the hat. It makes the card more personnel because that's what our grandkids call him. I just hand wrote it with  a permanent marker.

For the dirt and grass I used a stamp set called Sheltering Tree in colors Old Olive and Creamy Carmel. Sponged Bashful Ink for the sky and used Master's Touch,Spectrum Noir and Blendabilities Alcohol Markers. The card shape was made on my Cricut.

The sentiment to go along with the card was generously given for free from Hetty at Craft Chaos . She also offered another sentiment "Fishing you a happy Father's Day" I put in the inside of the card.

That's all for me today. Thanks for stopping by. Hope you all have a super crafty day and stay safe.

Bumble Bee and Flowers Card

Hello crafter's, Glad you stopped by. Hope you all are doing well.

As some of you may have heard, Paper Smooches is closing. Hated to hear that.
I am glad that the challenges will continue though. So I thought it was high time I made a card for the challenge.

So I created my card with a few of their freebies that they offer. They have several that they offer for free and the are so cute.

They are also having a big Retirement  sale. The month of June everything will be 25% off. July, 50% and August 75% off.

So you need to hop on over there and check it out.

For the base of my card I used a Spellbinders die. I cut down a little honeycomb die and thought it looked cute up by that adorable little bee. Don't you wish bees really looked like that? I do, So cute!

Made the leaves with a little die from Stampin Up that I have had for several years. Used Spectrum Noir and Master's Touch Marker's.

Well that's it for me. We are getting ready to leave and spend some time with our daughter and grandchildren at a cabin.

She rented a pontoon boat with a slide on it. So hoping for a great time this weekend. It will be nice to get out and spend some time with my daughter and grandkids.

Hope you all have a great weekend to. Stay safe and God bless!

Hello, Hope you all are well, so glad that you took the time to stop by my blog.

Awhile back I was on one of the craft pages on facebook and had told someone that I loved the butterflies that she had used on her card. She was so sweet that she offered to send me some. It was so sweet of her.

I received them and she sent several. So of course I had to make her a Thank you card and also cut out some dies to send her. So wanted to share the card that I made for Louanne from Canada.

One of the things was a big bag of frozen blueberries. So I decided to make a Blueberry Crumble. So thought I might share it with you all.

Pour blueberries in pan and add top layer of oat mixture.

Bake in a preheated oven at 350 for 45 minutes. Let cool for at least 30 minutes.

I served it with vanilla ice cream  and it was delicious. We dropped off some to my daughter and grandkids and also took some to my sister. They all said it was really good. My brother in law is wanting the recipe.

Were all In this Together Card & Peanut Butter Pie Recipe

Hello crafty friends, Beautiful day here in Indiana.  The weather has been PERFECT. Suppose to start getting hotter tomorrow.
So happy that you made it to my blog.

Today I want to share with you a card I made using the cute little stamp set from Altenew called Daisy.

This was my first time using the Daisy stamp. I thought it looked pretty in the different colors.

The colors used are Calypso Coral, Barely Banana, Summer Sun, Lavender Lace, Gorgeous Grape,Bashful Blue, Pacific Point and Old Olive.

I Love this sentiment "Were all In this together" Perfect for the challenging times that we are going through. Cathrine Pooler is offering this downloadable sentiment for free on her blog.
Here is a link   Catherine Pooler

Also I surprised my grandson the other day with his favorite pie, Peanut Butter. I make it for him on his birthdays.

Loved the look on his face when he opened the refrigerator. So I wanted to share the recipe with you all.

Peanut Butter Pie

You will need-

1 cup creamy peanut butter
11/4 cup powdered sugar
1 regular size cool whip
1- 8 ounce cream cheese
1 chocolate pie crust

In bowl beat peanut butter and softened cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and beat until smooth. Add thawed cool whip.
Scraping sides as needed.
Pour In crust. Chill at least 2 hours before  serving. I usually make it the night before. I like it set up completely.

This pie is rich and is also good with a little cool whip on top.

That is my share for today. Hope you all have a wonderful first day of June. If you try the pie, please come back and let me know how you liked it.  Take care and God bless.
