Wedding Card & recipe

Hello, so happy you could stop by. we are now into the month of April. I didn't make any post in March; I spent most of my time in a couple of hospitals staying with my husband during his illness. He is now in a rehabilitation center here in our hometown. So, I'm able to stay at home now.

My great niece Alivia will be getting married soon so for today's card I made her and her soon to be husband a wedding card.

I decided on making a wedding cake card. This card took a little longer to make because my bad back is acting up again and I can only sit on my craft room chair for about 10 minutes at a time.

It did feel good to get back in my craft room after being gone for most of the month of March.

I cut and embossed three pieces of white cardstock, used a corner rounder from S.U. for the corners and a S.U. scalloped border punch for the pink cake plate. I hadn't used those punches in a long time.

The flowers and leaves were made by metal dies. Not sure what brand the sentiment is from. I removed all of my stamps from their wood bases so some of them I can't remember. All of the cardstock that I used is from S.U. I also added white pearls from Paper Studio to each little flower.

Every once in a while, I like to share a recipe with you all. So, I thought I would share one of my family's favorite pasta dishes.

When I eat out at Olive Garden, I always order their 5 cheese Ziti. But we don't eat out that often anymore So, I started making it myself. So, here's the recipe if you would like to try it yourself.

5 Cheese Ziti

For pasta & sauce
16 oz. box Ziti
1 jar marinara sauce (I have also used Ragu 6 cheese sauce)
1 jar alfredo sauce
1/2 cup ricotta cheese
1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
little salt for pasta water

Topping- 1 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, 1/4 cup grated romano/parmesan blend cheese, 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs, 2 tsp minced garlic, parsley flakes(optional)

Cook pasta, preheat oven to 350, spray 9x13 baking pan w/ cooking spray. (Make sure pasta is not cooked all the way, it will cook further in oven.)
In large bowl combine pasta ingredients, gently mix in ziti pasta, pour pasta mixture in sprayed baking pan.
In separate bowl mix together topping and sprinkle over top of pasta.

Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes until top is golden brown, cheese is melted, and sauce is bubbling. serve & enjoy!

Sorry for such a long post. Thanks for stopping by, hope you all have a wonderful day!
