It's Christmas morning. We are getting ready to go to our daughters to have Christmas with her and the grandkids so thought I should get this post posted before I leave.
Today I want to share with you some little treat holders that I made from ribbon.
These were fun to make and really doesn't take long at all. I had made some for Halloween and knew that I wanted to make some for Christmas.
Found that cute Santa ribbon and the Dollar Tree or Dollar General store. I was going to buy some more but couldn't find it again.
But I had enough to make what I needed. I think I made 8 in total and still have some ribbon left. I love the little green bells.
Here is a link to the ones I made for Halloween if you would like to see them. Halloween Ribbon Treat Bags
Also wanted to share a recipe with you that I made for our Christmas dinner at Church. Everyone was to bring a homemade dessert. So I decided on some homemade candy. It's really good and easy to make.
~Soda Cracker Candy~
Ingredients:
1 cup salted butter (2 sticks)
1 cup +2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1-1/2 sleeves saltine’s crackers
Preheat oven to 400*
Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Spray a bit of nonstick spray
Line crackers in rows touching each other.
Set aside
Bring butter and b. Sugar to a boil
Boil 3 minutes stirring constantly
Remove from heat
Add vanilla extract
Pour over crackers
Spread caramel toffee sauce quickly on crackers and place in oven for 5 minutes.
Remove and add chocolate morsels quickly
Spread chocolate and cover to trap in heat.
Chill in freezer for 10-15 minutes then cut or break apart.
Well I have got to get ready to leave. Thanks for stopping by. Hope you enjoyed seeing my Christmas project and the recipe. Hope you give them both a try.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and happy New Year!

Christmas Treat Mugs and recipe
Hello, Have been super busy today with cleaning and gift wrapping. I think I have all of my shopping done. I only have a few more gifts to wrap.
Went to my sister's tonight to have Christmas with my sister's and Mom. Had a great time. Lot's of laughing as usual.
Tomorrow night we are going to my Dad's side of the family Christmas party. We always play bingo and always lots of wonderful food. I may gain 10 pounds before Christmas even gets here.
I wanted to share with you some Christmas Mugs that I made to put gift cards and treats in.
These were so fun to make and not hard at all. I wanted to make some last year and never got around to it. So I knew I had to this year.
These are made using the Envelope Punch Board. Love that tool! You can do so much with it.
If you are interested in getting one, I do know that Stampin Up has them in the clearance rack on their web site. If they haven't sold out already.
I had seen several video's on you tube on how to make these. They are all basically the same. The only thing I did different was I glued two pieces of cardstock together for the handle. I wanted it to be a little more sturdy. I also embossed it with a snowflake folder.
The first one I made I used Ruby Red card stock from S.U. It's pretty but then decided it just wasn't red enough. So I made all the rest in Cherry Cobbler. Great Christmas Red.
The paper is from The Paper Studio. I thought it was really pretty. I think I picked it up at Hobby Lobby.
I also wanted to share a recipe with you. As you know I do that from time to time.
Today I am sharing a recipe for Spinach Balls. I love them and thought you all might like to try them.
Spinach Balls
2 pks. frozen spinach (thawed) and drained. Keep a little moisture.
2 1/4 cup stuffing
6 eggs - beaten
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 cup parmesan shredded Cheese
2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
tsp dried parsley
I also add a tablespoon or more of parmesan in a jar.
Drain spinach well but leave a little moisture
In bowl, mix together all ingredients until well blended
Preheat oven to 350 and place mixture in fridge for 30 minutes before making balls.
Form into balls. Place on baking sheet sprayed w/ non sticking spray.
Bake at 350 for 20 minutes
These are super easy to make and really good. I do think they are best served right out of the oven. If you don't need that many just cut recipe in half.
Hope you enjoyed seeing my Christmas Mugs and recipe. If you decide to try the spinach balls please let me know how you liked them.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!

Christmas Cards 2019
Hello, So glad you could stop by. Sitting here drinking a cup of coffee. Just got home a little while ago. Have been doing some Christmas shopping with my sister and Mom.
Had a good time, had lunch at Texas Roadhouse. Glad to get a few more things bought for Christmas but hated getting out in the cold.
It snowed last night so most of the schools around was canceled. My grandkids were so excited. I remember being little and being excited when school was called off.
Wanted to share with you my Christmas Cards that I have made for this year.
I really enjoy doing scene cards and this one was a fun one. I used my stamping tool the Misti to make the process go a lot faster. It's nice when you have to make several of the same cards. Tried to make it look more water colored. Used my aqua painter.
Really like how the Softly Falling embossing folder looks. First time using it and also like how the Cherry Cobbler striped ribbon from S.U. looks. The folder is no longer available at Stampin Up.
You can't tell, but to save on the ribbon. I just used little pieces of ribbon on each side. There was no way I was going to waist all of that pretty ribbon.
I also thought I would share with you what I picked out for winning on the Through the Craft room Door challenge blog. Won a $15.00 gift card from Stamplorations.
So excited to have won and can't wait to play with this wonderful stamp set. This one is from the Shery Russ Designs and is called Coffee Joy.
She even sent me a little sample of her Lippy Love Lip Balm. It's 100% natural and vegan. She sales full size balm tubes.
Stamplorations has so many wonderful products. Stamps, Dies, Stencils and other things.
Have you ever checked them out??? If not here is a link for you.

Well, I guess that's it for me today. I will be sharing a few more post before Christmas. Hope you can make it back.

America Christmas Card
Hello, glad you could stop by. I know this is a hectic time of year. I can't get over that there is only 13 days until Christmas.
Just got home from helping my sister decorate the Church for our Christmas dinner on Sunday. It looks so pretty. My grand daughter helped also. Helps so much to have young one's around to help out. A couple of others helped out as well.
Planning on going to the big Christmas flea market tomorrow in Louisville Kentucky with some of my family. I have things I need to be doing to get ready to head out early, so I need to get this post done.
So I want to share a card that I made for my son. He had ask me if I could make him a Christmas card to give to one of his friends and that he also needed it to be patriotic. A Christmas card that also looks American. It took me awhile to think of something I could make. So this is what I came up with.
Sure hope he likes It. I think it looks like an American Christmas Card.
That's all from me, It's late and I need to get some things done so I can head off to bed.
Thanks for stopping by. I will be sharing several more post before Christmas. Hope you can come back. Hope you have a great weekend!

Painted Harvest in Blue
Hello and welcome to my blog. It's cold here in Indiana. It's still officially fall, but sure doesn't feel like it.
I have been decorating for Christmas and have the Christmas Tree up. I do have some of my shopping done but still have several things to get.
I must say I do love ordering on line. I did get to Walmart and got a few things for their black Friday sale. My grand kids and I enjoyed the hot chocolate and cookies they served.
Wanted to share with you a card that I made for someone that will be having surgery soon.
It was so fun playing with this stamp set again. It's called Painted Harvest and is from Stampin Up.
I had been wanting to make one in blue. I used Marina Mist and Night of Navy. For the center I used Crushed Curry. The leaves are In Old Olive.
Was a little afraid that the blues together were to dark. Still not sure. Used the background stamp Woodgrain from Stampin Up in Going Gray.
Wasn't for sure what to put near the bottom. Found this little metal die in my dies and think that it looks good in crushed curry cardstock. I also used a stitched banner die and small piece of ribbon.
I think this card turned out pretty and I'm sure she will enjoy receiving it.
As some of you know I post recipes on here from time to time. I thought I would share a quick tip for you bakers if you don't already know it.
If you need buttermilk for a recipe and realize you don't have any, you can substitute by using milk and lemon juice.
1 cup milk
1 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice
continue to stir while adding the juice.
it will start to thicken up some like buttermilk
Just thought I would share that little tip with you.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you come back. Happy day to you and God bless!
