Hello everyone, Nice sunny morning hear in Indiana today. The weather has been crazy lately. Going to have some chilly nights this week. Down in the 20s and 30s.
Did you know when the first day of Spring was? Well I sure did. Almost everyday for the past several months my Mom has told me that the first day of Spring is March 20th.
My sweet Mom is in her 80s and could not wait for Spring. So today I am sharing with you a Spring card that I have made for her.
I always get nervous when I know I'm going to be coloring something. But I'm o.k. with how it turned out.
I know you can't tell but I added a little green in the centers of the flowers. Thought that might make them look a little more realistic.
The daffodil image is from SheepSki Designs. I colored it with Master's Touch and Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.
I recently won that pretty sheer black ribbon. Love how sparkly it is. It's from Stampin Up. I will definitely be ordering some.
I'm sure that this card will bring a big smile to my sweet Mom. Love her so much.
I also thought I would share another recipe with you all. My family always loves when I make Hashbrown Casserole. So I thought this would be a good one to share.
Hashbrown Casserole
Ingredients needed-
One large bag of frozen shredded Hashbrown
1 can of cream of celery soup (can also use chicken, potato, mushroom). I like the celery
3/4 stick melted butter
1 and a half cup sour cream
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
A little dried onion flakes - (Optional) You can also use diced onion
Pepper and salt to taste
A few shakes of dried parsley flakes (optional)
Preheat oven to 350
In a extra large bowl combined all ingredients except hashbrowns. After mixing add frozen hashbrown and mix well.
Pour in a sprayed 9 x 13 baking dish.
Topping
In medium bowl mix together 2 cups cornflakes with 1/4 cup melted butter. Using the mixing spoon I crush them just a little. Sprinkle over top of hashbrown mixture.
Bake in a 350 oven for around 45 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
This recipe is easy to make. I love to make it in the cold winter months. This is also known as funeral potatoes. Nice for get togethers like Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Thanks so much for visiting. Hope you enjoyed your visit. Happy Spring to you.
