Patriotic Snoopy & Recipe

Hello and welcome, Today is the 4th of July, this year our country is celebrating 250 years of Independence and freedom. Since the weather is so hot right now, I will be celebrating indoors enjoying the air conditioning.

I have two niece's that have birthdays on the 4th of July. So, I diffidently wanted two create their cards in red, white and blue.

I have been going through some things that I had received as happy mail over the years and came across this Patriotic Snoopy Digi image. Thought it would be fun to color up for their cards this year.

I only had the one image, so I created another one on my printer. I colored the image with alcohol markers. The sentiment is a stamp from Sugar Pea Designs. I don't think you can tell but I added wink of stella on the stars, sparkler and on Woodstock's glasses.

The cards came together pretty quick and I'm sure seeing Snoopy being all patriotic will bring smiles to both of my niece's.

I also want to share another recipe with you all. When the weather warms up, I like to make easy and cold desserts and try not to use the oven unless I have to. So, this no bake pie is perfect to make.

(No Bake) Strawberry Whip Cheesecake

*Ingredients needed*

1 Graham Cracker Pie Crust

1 8-ounce (softened) Cream Cheese

1 can Strawberry Pie Filling

1 1/2 cup Cool Whip

Cool Whip for top

In large mixing bowl beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add strawberry pie filling

and mix together on low speed. Gently fold in 1 1/2 cups of cool whip. Spoon mixture into

pie crust and spread evenly. Top with remaining cool whip. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours but overnight is best. If you use a pre-made pie crust you will have some left over after you make the pie. I add extra cool whip to the remaining mixture and make another pie with it. The strawberry flavor isn't as strong but still good.

That's going to be it from me today. Thanks for stopping by, wishing you all a safe and fun day.

  5. Hi Cindy. I love your patriotic Snoopy. Beautiful card and I am sure your nieces will love him. Thank you for your good health wishes. I have recovered very quickly and all is well apart from the heat which is almost unbearable. I hope your special celebrations went well.

  7. Snoopy and Woodstock--adorable! Peanuts was my dad's favorite comic, so he often got cards with those images which always make me think of him.
