We started the 4th with a cookout and then that night a bunch of us went to the Historical Hotel in French Lick. Which is in the next town over from us. The fireworks were Beautiful and they always have an old time band playing music. Really a great atmosphere.
Then on Saturday night we went to see the Fireworks at the park in our home town. They were Awesome!!! We were sitting fairly close and I got so tickled at my grown niece Amy. She kept jerking her arms and saying Oh My. I don't think she had ever sit so close to fireworks. Made my night just watching her. They play Patriotic Music over the Intercom and had a big blow up screen in the ball field and played the movie Frozen after the fireworks.
Then afterwards we went to my Sister Tammy's house. Here Daughter Amy and her husband had bought a bunch of fireworks. They were so Great. Yes, we were sitting to close and stuff kept falling on us. But I Loved them.
I do LOVE Fireworks!
As some of you know I started Crocheting about a year and a half ago and I absolutely Love It.
So I wanted to share with you the pictures of my very first Dish clothes that I just made.
I really like them and they were so fun and easy to make. Mikey from the Crochet Crowd has a video on youtube. He is actually making a square for an Afghan. So I just made it a little smaller. I just chained 26 instead of the 36 he chained at first.
It is called the Raised Treble Stitch.
I have two grown Nieces that were born of the Fourth of July. So I gave them the Patriotic Colored Dishrags.
Here is a link If you would like to try making some of these dishcloths your self.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have another great summer weekend! :o)
Cindy, I am pleased to hear that you had a ball of a time celebrating. Just love your dishrags, which is something I use all the time in the kitchen, as I love cooking and baking.

I plan on making some of these as Xmas pressies. Have you seen the pinwheel pot holder? Looks a bit tricky for very effective - on my list of things to do as well. Thanks for stopping my blog and commenting. Was lovely to hear from you.
ReplyDeleteI love your crochet potholders! I haven't crocheted in too long. Thanks for stopping by my blog and checking on me. I did pull the cake back out of the trash, but it's so pitiful it will probably just live here in my craftroom. LOL
