Hello so glad you could stop by. It's the 24th, Christmas Eve. Thought I would do a quick post with my last Christmas card for this year. Sorry for the picture quality. I should have taken a few different pictures. But was trying to get it done quickly.
The picture definitely doesn't do this card justice.
I had received a few stamped images of the pretty angel in some happy mail last month and knew that I wanted to use one to create my Mom's Christmas card.
The shiny rose gold paper behind the image and for the poinsettia was from some wrapping paper that I had saved from being thrown away after my mom's birthday last month. It was to pretty to throw away. I glued it to a piece of white cardstock to make it more sturdy before cutting. I also cut part of the flower in vellum. Cut the leaves in blue cardstock. Colored the image in alcohol markers.
I added some stickles to the tops of the wings. The sentiment is from a Anna Griffin stamp set that I have had for years. I also stamped one blue snowflake.
These close ups are a little better quality.
I think her card turned out pretty. I always try to make her card a little extra special.
I also thought I would share a picture of a few of the little crocheted stockings that I made. I made several to hold gift cards and candy. They are about 6 inches long.
They are pretty simple to make and work up fast. I'm not that great at crocheting, but I do like how they turned out.
It's done in half double crochet. If you would like to make some you can find the video on youtube. Search Crochet Mini Christmas Stockings. The woman goes by MummaJ Crochet. I did make mine a little bigger than hers so that they would fit gift cards and candies. I think she did hers in cotton. I did mine in acrylic.
My great nephew and his wife had their first baby last night, so I quickly made a little stocking for them to hang on their tree for Luna's first Christmas ornament.
Did it in pink and white and it measures 3 inches. You can find this one also on youtube. The crocheter's name is Zhielle's Creation.
Well, I have got to get off here. I have so many things to get done today. The grandkids are coming over later. Going to make some Apple Dumplings, Hot Chocolate and watch Christmas movies.
Wishing you all a wonderful and peaceful Christmas. Blessings to you all!
