Happy Birthday to Y*u Card

It's the last day of January. Glad to see January come to an end. Looking forward to Spring. I'm tired of the cold weather.

It's my grand daughter's birthday. Wasn't for sure what type of birthday card to make her this year. Wanted something cute and simple. I was on Pinterest one night and came across a cute free digital image of a kitty.

My granddaughter loves her cats, especially her little kitten Samson. So, I decided that I would use it for her card this year.

I uploaded the image into Design Space and added the Happy Birthday to You. Colored the kitty yellow like Samson using alcohol markers.

I'm sure she will laugh when she notices the word Y*U. It sure got me tickled.

I sponged the grass and sky with S.U. Certainly Celery and Bashful Blue. The cloud is from a border die from the Dollar Tree.

Cardstock used - blue base- Core-dinations called Scuba Diver. Also used white and black. You can find the cute kitty image at iheartcraftythings

A couple of weeks ago my granddaughter and I decided to make some chocolate peanut butter balls. We had a good time making them. When mixing it up we couldn't figure out why the mixture was so dry. We had forgot to add the butter. So funny!  They turned out pretty good and I thought that I would share the recipe with you all.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls

-Ingredients needed-

1 cup Peanut butter

4 tbs softened butter

1-1/3 cup powdered sugar

tsp vanilla

1 tbs coconut oil

1/2 cup milk chocolate chips

1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

In large bowl first add powdered sugar, then add peanut butter, softened butter and vanilla

Mix and place in refrigerator for at least an hour.

Scoop mixture and form little balls and place on wax paper.

Put chocolate chips in microwave safe bowl and add coconut oil.

Microwave 30 seconds at a time until melted. Dip peanut butter ball into chocolate using a fork or toothpick. Place back on wax paper until chocolate is set and enjoy.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you enjoyed seeing my card and hope you can make it back again. Have yourself a wonderful day!

Winter bird card

Hello crafter's, any of you sick of cold weather yet? I can't stand being cold. I think they are calling for snow for Sunday. Hopefully we won't get much. They are also saying it will be really cold for the rest of the month. That it won't be getting above the 20s.

I do have an extra little heater that I keep in my craftroom. So I keep toasty warm in there.

I was needing a card and decided that I would use a bird stamp from Polkadoodles.

I had bought this stamp a couple of years ago and had never used it. So I knew that it was time to give it a try.

I had been a little nervous to try and color it because I really have no idea how to color feathers on a bird. But it turned out ok, I guess.

Used alcohol markers to color it and used a sponge to color in a little blue sky using Bashful Blue from S.U. Also sponged a little bit of Summer Sun in the corner for a little sunshine.  Used a white gel pen to color the snow on the trees.

The sentiment is from a stamp from Stampabilities.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a great day!  Stay safe and stay crafty my friends.

Happy 'Bird' day Chickie Card

Hello, Happy New Year to you all, this is my first post for the new year. My first card share is one that I have created for my niece Amy for her birthday. This Image from Bugaboo Stamps is sooo cute, just makes me smile. Used alcohol markers to color it. Unfortunately, the ink on the balloons ran out of the lines a little.  Ugh!

This is a digital image; thought a stitched rectangle die would look cute. I also used a dot embossing folder and added a yellow ribbon.

Put the sentiment on the inside.

The sentiment is also from Bugaboo. I'm not for sure, but I think that you can no longer purchase from Bugaboo. Really sad because they had so many great images.

That's it for me today.  Really appreciate you all stopping by and the comments that you leave.

Hope we all have a wonderful, healthy, happy new year with lots of crafting. God bless!

Peace & Joy Angel Card

Hello so glad you could stop by. It's the 24th, Christmas Eve. Thought I would do a quick post with my last Christmas card for this year. Sorry for the picture quality. I should have taken a few different pictures. But was trying to get it done quickly.

The picture definitely doesn't do this card justice.

I  had received a few stamped images of the pretty angel in some happy mail last month and knew that I wanted to use one to create my Mom's Christmas card.

The shiny rose gold paper behind the image and for the poinsettia was from some wrapping paper that I had saved from being thrown away after my mom's birthday last month. It was to pretty to throw away. I glued it to a piece of white cardstock to make it more sturdy before cutting. I also cut part of the flower in vellum. Cut the leaves in blue cardstock. Colored the image in alcohol markers.

I added some stickles to the tops of the wings. The sentiment is from a Anna Griffin stamp set that I have had for years. I also stamped one blue snowflake.

These close ups are a little better quality.

I think her card turned out pretty. I always try to make her card a little extra special.

I also thought I would share a picture of a few of the little crocheted stockings that I made. I made several to hold gift cards and candy. They are about 6 inches long.

They are pretty simple to make and work up fast. I'm not that great at crocheting, but I do like how they turned out.

It's done in half double crochet. If you would like to make some you can find the video on youtube.  Search Crochet Mini Christmas Stockings. The woman goes by  MummaJ Crochet. I did make mine a little bigger than hers so that they would fit gift cards and candies. I think she did hers in cotton. I did mine in acrylic.

My great nephew and his wife had their first baby last night, so I quickly made a little stocking for them to hang on their tree for Luna's first Christmas ornament.

Did it in pink and white and it measures 3 inches. You can find this one also on youtube. The crocheter's name is  Zhielle's Creation.

Well, I have got to get off here. I have so many things to get done today. The grandkids are coming over later. Going to make some Apple Dumplings, Hot Chocolate and watch Christmas movies.

Wishing you all a wonderful and peaceful Christmas. Blessings to you all!

Not a Creature was Stirring Card

Hello, Hope your doing well, Finally got my gift wrapping done yesterday. Still waiting on one more gift that I purchased on Amazon. Hoping that it gets here. It's one for my grandson. Getting a bit nervous about it.

I have been busy getting things done. Still have lots to do.

I thought I had better get this card posted. Another easy one. A napkin card.

One day my grandson was here when I received some happy mail. This was one of the napkins that was in it. He said that's the one that I want for our Christmas card. So I made this one for them.

I thought the sentiment would be cute on this card. It's from a set from Cardz TV.

Have you ever checked out Mary's stamps? She has several and they are made from high quality clear photopolymer and are made in the U.S.A. Here is a link to her store if you would like to see them.

Well I guess it's time for me to get to the housework again. Ugh, maybe I should have ask for a robot maid for Christmas. That would be nice. Well maybe a little creepy. Ha!

Have a great day. I will be sharing one more Christmas card with you, probably Christmas Eve. Hope you can find a minute to stop by.

Happy Holidays with Snoopy

It's the 18th of December. Time needs to slow down; Christmas will be here soon and I'm not ready. I still haven't started my wrapping. Hopefully I can get a start on it tonight.

I do have another Christmas card to share with you all.

This one was made using a napkin and I think it's so cute! I love the sweet image of Snoopy and his friend Woodstock.

I used some blue glitter cardstock for the back layer, and I also added a white glitter snowflake that I punched out with a Martha Stewart punch.

I made three of these cards this year. I love how quick you can create a card using a napkin.

That's it from me today. I will be sharing another Christmas card in a few days. Hope you can make it back.

Be Merry & Bright Christmas Card

Hello and welcome to my blog. Day by day we are getting closer to Christmas. I think I am done with all my Christmas shopping. Now just have to get the wrapping done.

I belong to a great group of crafters on Facebook. Recently I received a wonderful happy mail from someone in the group. She sent me a brand-new stamp set from Close to My Heart called Created to Shine.

Since I received it so close to Christmas, I thought that I would try making a Christmas card with it. I know it's not a Christmas stamp set, but I think it works. I colored the lights with alcohol markers. The sentiment stamp is from a little set I got years ago.

Here is a picture of the stamp set in case you would like to get one for yourself.

That's it from me today. I will be sharing some more Christmas cards. Hope you can make it back. Would love for you to leave a comment. (They make me Smile) 😁
