The Art of Life (Sympathy Card)

So glad you could stop by. Has been a sad day. My Uncle Clinton passed away earlier today.  It's so hard to believe. He was such a great guy. Loved to play the banjo. Seems like he was always smiling. Even though I am sad I know that he Is rejoicing being reunited with his family In heaven.

There has been several people passing lately and It never gets easy. So hard on the families.

Any of you that have made Sympathy Cards (Especially when needed) know that they are the hardest to make.

Sharing this card that I made for my friend who lost her niece.

Used The Art for Life Stamp Set again for this Sympathy Card. I knew that I had had this Stamp Set for a good while so I thought I would check to see when It was made It's from 2005. I think It's a nice Stamp Set for Sympathy Cards.

For the sentiment Inside I stamped Thinking of You with deepest Sympathy for your loss.

This Stamp Set Is called Thinking of You " Inside & Out" from Cardz TV. I recently won this Stamp Set from Mary and I Love It. So nice having some nice Sympathy Stamps for those cards that you will be giving to someone that has lost a loved one.

Catching Lightning Bugs In a Jar

Hey, Glad you could stop by, Can't believe that June will soon be coming to an end. Time seems to be In fast mode. It has already been over four months since I had my surgery.

When I was growing up I didn't mind the hot days of Summer and could spend hours out side playing.

A fond memory of mine Is going out after dark and catching Lightning Bugs and putting them In a Mason Jar. I would take them to my my bedroom and look at them In the dark for awhile and then let them go.
Have any of you all ever done that?

I know some of you all call them Fireflies. But around here most everyone calls them Lightning Bugs.

Seems like this Summer their are more Lightning Bugs than usual. The Trees look like they are full of twinkling lights. So pretty!

My Sister Tammy and I was talking recently about how many there are. So I decided that was the perfect Birthday Card for her this year.

So glad that I had ordered the Jars of Love Stamp Set from Stampin Up. Great Stamp Set. Love It! Instead of stamping and cutting out the handle I decided to use a thin wire. Really like how It turned out.

Card for Amber

Hello, Glad you could stop by. Today I wanted to share a card that I made for my Great Niece Amber for her birthday.

Haven't seen Amber In a while she Is In the Air Force. Since she can't be home for her birthday. I wanted to send her a card (From her favorite Aunt of course).

Since Amber Is In the Air Force she loves anything Red, White and Blue. She even does her Christmas Tree In Red, White and Blue.
So I wanted to do her card in In those colors. But thought the dark blue was just to dark for a fun Birthday Card so I used a lighter blue. Thought that looked a little better.

Used the Stampin Up Stamp Set called "Sweet Scoops" and I also used a Stampendous Stamp Set called "Happy Messages" for the sentiment.

Swirls from S.U. Stamp Set called Stars and Swirls

Stars from S.U. Stamp Set called Classic Backgrounds

S.U, Scallop Punch

Cardstock - Kraft White and Blue

Ink- Real Red and Marina Mist (The Marina Mist was once stamped off to match the blue cardstock).

I wanted to get this post done early because I am going to focus on cleaning a lot today. Hope you have a great day and Thanks for stopping by.
