Get Well Card

Happy Saturday, Glad you could stop by.

Wanted to share a get well card that I made for my sister.

The flowers are from a Pretty Pink Posh stamp set call Peonies.

(My favorite flower). I colored them in shades of lavenders and purples. (My favorite colors).

Coloring is a bit of a challenge for me. I really don't know the correct or best way. I just color and have fun.

I do think the purples are harder to blend. I think It may have blended a little better if I had tried coloring it with Stampin Up cardstock.

Colored the flowers with alcohol markers. I fussy cut two of the flowers. The sentiment is from a retired S.U. set called Sincere Salutations.

The scalloped die is also from Pretty Pink Posh called Stitched Borders 2. When running the border die through the cuttlebug it messed up the top of the cardstock so I added the green corner piece.

I will be entering this card into the STAMPlorations Spring Fling Blog Hop & Linky Party. This will be my second card that I am linking up.

There is still time to link up a spring card or check out the blog hop. The STAMPgirls have created some wonderful Spring cards.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great weekend.

Have a HAPPY Spring Day Card

Pretty sunny day today. The weather is warming up, Suppose to get up to 90 today.

I have been busy playing in my craftroom making some cards for some challenges.

Have you seen that STAMPlorations is having a Spring Fling blog hop and Linky party?  Yes they are and I really enjoyed hoping along and seeing all of the inspiration from the STAMPgirls. They are all so super creative.

Today I am sharing my first card that I will be adding to the Linky party.

This little cute bee looks pretty happy enjoying a Spring day. It is a digital image from Bugaboo. Used alcohol markers to color. Made the cloud with sentiment using  print and cut on my Cricut. Also used a stitched rectangle die.

I think that image is so cute. I love that cute little smile. After I finished coloring the bee I thought I had colored it wrong. I thought the bee's bottom had to be black. I almost threw it away. But I checked out some bee's and some have the yellow bottom. Glad I didn't throw it away.

That's it from me, Hope you can make it back. I will be posting some more cards soon. Have a Great week!

Blue Bird Napkin Card

Hello, Having some chilly weather here on Mother's Day. Enjoying a hot cup of coffee before I get to busy.

Thunderstorms with lightning heading this way. Looks like I might be getting a little wet later going to see my Mom. Hopefully the storms won't last to long.

Sharing with you all the card I created for my Mom for Mother's Day.

This one was created using a napkin. Isn't that napkin gorgeous with those sweet little blue birds. Oh I love it so much.

I wasn't for sure where to place the sentiment because I didn't want to cover up any of the pretty image. So I decided to put it in the center.

I also added a light blue sheer ribbon so that the image would still show through. The sentiment is from S.U. I also added a little pearl next to the sentiment.  I think she will love this one. I know I do.

Also I wanted to share a recipe with you all. This cake is called by several names. But I call it Mandarin Sunshine Cake.

I made one this past Easter and I'm making one today to take to my Mom's for the dinner. Going to be adding some candles to this one. It's one of my sister's birthday today.

Mandarin Sunshine Cake

Ingredients for cake-

Butter Cake Mix

1 can mandarin oranges 11 ounce w/juice

3/4 cup oil

4 eggs

Ingredients for frosting

1 cool whip

1 - 3 ounce vanilla instant pudding

1 - 20 ounce can crushed pineapple (drained)

Preheat oven 350 and grease and flour a 9x13 pan

In large bowl mix cake mix with mandarin oranges w/ juice and oil.

Add eggs one at a time and mix well.

Pour batter into pan and bake for 35-40 minutes. Cool completely

Frosting

In medium bowl, mix pudding w/ crushed pineapple (drain) Mix in a tub of cool whip. Put into fridge for 15-20 minutes and frost cake.

I like to keep back a few mandarin oranges to place on top of cake.

As you can see this cake is pretty easy to make and it is really good. So hope you will give it a try.

Well I need to get off here and start the cake. I will be spending a few days with my Mom. Thanks for stopping by, and Happy Mother's Day to all you Mom's.

She Believed She Could Encouragment Card

Hello, happy Friday to you. I made another card for the Things with Wings linky party at STAMPlorations and a few other challenges.

Was looking through my stamps to make an encouragement card and spotted the This Little Piggy stamp set from Stampin Up.

It is such a cute stamp set and it's perfect for the Things with Wings linky challenge.

Stamped the image once on white paper and once on pink cardstock. Cut out the pink and added some shading on it with Pretty In Pink Ink and also used a pink alcohol marker.

Cardstock used- Pretty In Pink and White. The flower paper is from a Maggie Holmes collection called Bloom.

Added some stickles to the wings. I popped up the stitched circle die with dimensionals and added some jute twine.

This card was a fun one to make and I think it turned out cute.

This will be my last card for the Things with Wings linky challenge over a STAMPlorations. I have had so much fun creating them all.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you all have a fun and crafty weekend!

Thank You So Much Butterfly Card

Hello, I have another card to share for today. I have been having so much fun making cards for the STAMPlorations Things with Wings Linky Party.

Today I have another butterfly card. I had received that butterfly die cut in some happy mail. I send out a lot of thank you cards, so I thought this die cut would be perfect for one.

The thank you sentiment is from S.U. and the so much sentiment is from a stamp set called Coffee Joy from STAMPlorations.

Cardstock- yellow and black and the designers series paper is from S.U. I also added some white ribbon.

Have you linked your own project yet? -- any project is welcome as long as there are wings in it -- butterflies, dragonflies, bees, birds, fairies, bugs, bees, pterodactyl, planes, cupid...anything that flies, really...or even sentiments that mention/suggest flight/flying/objects with wings! :o)

Here is a link for you, hope you get a chance to play along.

BEE Happy Card!

Happy Friday! So glad you stopped by. I have been a busy BEE making a card for some challenges. One of those challenges is the Things with Wings Linky Challenge from STAMPlorations.

I thought it would be fun to make a card using an image I created. So here is my card.

I hand drew that cute little bee, scanned the image and printed it out. Would have been easier if my printer wasn't almost out of ink. So, I had to use the one my husband uses.

Colored it with Spectrum Noir and Master's Touch alcohol markers.

Cut out some hexagons with a die from Spellbinders. Used Summer Sun card stock and a few pattered papers from my stash.

Stamps used are from C.C.Designs, Pretty Pink Posh and Recollections.

The stitched cloud die cut is from the Dollar Tree

Made the black scalloped layer on my Cricut

I had a lot of fun putting this one together and really fun using an image I made. Never thought to do that before.

Thanks for visiting and would love for you to leave a comment.

Hope you all have a great weekend. Stay Safe & Stay Crafty!

A Happy Hello

Hello Crafty friends, Hope you are doing well and staying safe. I have been having fun creating cards for some challenges. I have another one to share with you all today.

I haven't really did very many tropical cards but I love this Image from Sheepski Designs called Tropical.

It took me two days to finish coloring the image because I get so nervous when I color. I started with the leaves and didn't know if I liked them or not. Was going to print out another image and try again but I thought let me try one more section. So I did the flower. That was o.k. so I kept going section by section.

Then I came to the breast area. I wanted it to look more like ruffled feathers, so I took three different gray colors and randomly did dots of color. Wasn't for sure if it would turn out because I really don't know what I'm doing when it comes to coloring.

I was so glad when I finally finished it and I'm happy with the way it turned out.

I used a Spellbinders die to cut out the image. The sentiments come from two different stamp sets from Trinity Stamps. Green paper is from my stash and the ribbon is Melon Mambo from Stampin Up.

I am entering this card into the Things with Wings linky party over a STAMPlorations.

There is still time to enter a things with wings project if you want. You have until  Friday, May 7, 11:55 p.m. to enter a project and you can enter up to 7 projects.
