Picked Posies Just for You!

Hello, So glad you stopped by.We are now into fall and it's already getting cold. I'm trying to hold off on turning the heat on.

We are suppose to warm up this week though. Today is beautiful. Some of the leaves are already starting to fall.

Looking forward to chilly nights sitting around the fire pit drinking hot chocolate and making smore's with the grandkids.

Still have some symptoms of Covid but I am doing better. It's just a slow process.

Wanted to share a birthday card that I made for my niece Shawna.

Her birthday is not for a few days and I think she will love this one. I really like the colors of the flowers with the Kraft cardstock. I have had that dot embossing folder for years and hadn't used it for a good while. The stamps used are from Taylored Expressions and Stampin Up. The white die cut is also from Stampin Up. Colored the flowers with alcohol markers. The centers of the flowers are light blue.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my card. My next blog post will probably be on the third of October. Hope you can make it back.

Make A Wish Card

Hello, glad you had a minute to stop by. We are now half way through September. Summer will be coming to an end soon. Then my favorite time of year, Fall.

As some of you know I have been dealing with Covid. I have had it for so long. I had to go to the emergency room twice.

My daughter and Grandson are finally over it. My grand daughter and me are finally starting to feel better. We are starting to get our taste and smell back. So hopefully my next post I will be completely over it.

So a few months back my sister said that she would love a birthday card with a dandelion on it. So that's exactly what she will be getting. Here is the card that I made for her.

I wanted to make something a little different shaped. So I decided on a circle card. I thought this stamp from Inkylicious was the perfect dandelion.

After stamping the image with Memento Black Ink, I embossed it with clear embossing powder so that it would have a shine to it.

Since you can't see it in the first picture, here is one showing some of the shine.

I had received the pretty die in some happy mail and thought it would work well for the card base.

I think my sister will like this one. It really does feel good to finally feel like crafting again.

While having Covid I really didn't eat a whole lot. But for the past few days I have been so hungry.

My grand daughter said that she has been extra hungry too. We were talking the other night about wanting something sweet.

So I decided to surprise her with a Lemon Icebox Pie.

She was so surprised when she opened the refrigerator. So I wanted to share the recipe with you.

Lemon Icebox Pie

Ingredients needed

2 cans of Eagle Brand Sweet Condensed Milk

1/2 cup of fresh squeezed lemon

(about 3 lemons)

3 egg yolks

Graham Cracker Pie Shell

In bowl add lemon juice, both cans of sweetened condensed milk and egg yolks. Mix with mixer and pour into pie shell. Refrigerate at least 6-8 hours. Over night is best.

I think this may be the easiest pie that I have ever made. Cool whip is perfect for this pie and after I took the picture my grand daughter added some to the top.

Let me know if you try it.

Well that's going to be it for me today. Hope you have a wonderful day.

Hello glad you could stop by my blog. I have a card share for you today but before I show my card, I wanted to tell you that for the past few days I haven't been feeling well. I went today to the clinic and got a Covid test.

My grandson was exposed to some people from school that have tested positive,so he is now in quarantine. He is now showing some symptoms and so am I. This post won't be to long. Just trying to get it posted in case I start feeling worse.

So now too share my card

The flower image that I used is from Beccy's Place and it's a free image. Peonies are my favorite flowers so I wanted to play along with the challenge. The flower was colored with ARRTX and Master's Touch alcohol markers.

Kind Heart Card

Hello,  Glad you could stop by. Was hoping to get this posted earlier but I have been busy today. I'm still busy but taking a few minutes too get this post done.

If you have seen my last two card shares, then you seen that they were mason jar cards using the Jars of Love stamp set & the Everyday Jars Framelits Dies, both from Stampin Up.

Since I have had so much fun playing with this set, I had too make one more card before I put it away. So here is my card share for today.

All three cards that I have made with this set is so totally different from one another. That's what I love about this set.

This is a very simple card and is in neutral tones. Used Ivory and kraft cardstocks.  Thought that the gingham paper looked good with the Kraft cardstock.

Used the smallest mason jar of the framelits dies and punched out the heart image from a paper made from American Crafts called The Color of Memories. That image is what I started out with first. So everything else had to work with it.

The sentiment is from Trinity Stamps called Hello Sweet Friend and stamped it on a decorative die from one of my S.U. sets.

I used the Tasteful Textiles embossing folder again. Love the texture that it gives.

The inks that I used are Mellow Moss and River Rock. They are both nice lighter green colors. I also added a thin twine to go around the jar. The Inks and twine are from Stampin Up.

I'm not sure if I like the tag and sentiment, so I may add a gemstone or something before I send it in the mail.

Not sure which of the three mason jar cards is my favorite. I think maybe the lightning bug card. It bring back fun childhood memories and I also love the bible verse.  Would love to know which one you like the best.

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my blog and would love for you to leave me a comment.

"Be a Light" Card

Hello Crafter's, hope you all are doing well. On my last post I created a card using the Jars of Love stamp set. Thought since I already had it out I would go ahead and have a little more fun with it. So here is my card I made.

I really do love this stamp set. There is so many things that you can create with it. I wanted to keep this one a little more simple. For the sentiment I downloaded a font from Dafont .com called Silly Sandwich. Definitely a silly name but I like the font.

I thought this bible verse would work well with this card. Used Memento Black and Yo Yo Yellow Ink.  I thought the jar needed something to ground it, so I masked off the bottom of the jar and used the flower stem from the set. Worked great!

I have a paper cutter that has different cuts on it. That's how I got the wavy cut on the black cardstock. Once I got the bible verse printed, this card came together fast.

I will be sending this card out as a traveling card to one of the members of a craft group that I am in on facebook. They will be signing there name and where they live. Add a few crafty goodies in it and send it on to someone else. Will be fun to see where it travels to.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my card and if you have this set, you need to get it out and play with it. I just might make another card with it before I put it up.

Have a great day my crafty friends, Stay Safe!

Jars of Love Fish Card

Hello, glad you could stop by. Hope you all had a nice week. I was looking for some challenges to enter and one that I found was to make a card with a Mason Jar.

Thought that sounded fun, so I pulled out a set from Stampin Up called Jars of Love. Here is what I came up with.

Love this stamp set, there are so many fun ways to use it. A few years ago I even made Halloween treat boxes with it.  For the sentiment I used a retired set from S.U. called Short & Sweet.

I don't have the Framelits dies that go with the Jars of Love set. But my sister does. So while my husband was out getting a few things from the store I had him swing by her house to get them.

The embossing folder I used is called Tasteful Textiles from S.U. Really like the texture that it gives to your cardstock. The background die is from  Reverse Confetti.

Inks used are Pumpkin Pie and and Memento. The cardstocks used are pumpkin pie, Blue and white. The white doily came from my stash of die cuts.

Really like how this card came out.I have been loving the colors  orange and blue together. So it was fun using those colors.

That's going to be it from me today. Hope you all have a nice weekend.

Stay Safe and Stay Crafty my friends.

When Life Gives You Lemons!

Hello Crafter's, Hope you all had a nice weekend. School starts back day after tomorrow. Summer break went by so fast.

My grandson Walker loves to visit with me late at night. He will message me a lot of times after midnight and ask if I'm still up. Love that they now live next door. Going to miss those late night talks. But we will still have the weekends.

Before I get to busy with the things I need to do today, I wanted to share my latest card that I made.

This card was super easy to make and perfect for a summer card. I have had that little lemon stamp set for several years and had never used it. My goal is use every stamp set that I have.

I don't think the stamp has a name but was made by Studio G. I have several of those little stamp sets that I haven't used yet. Do any of you have stamps that you haven't used?

I used Olive Old card stock for the strips. The Inks I used are Summer Sun and Memento Black.

Ran the the strips through the cuttlebug with a dots embossing folder.

Love how fast this card came together. I'm planning on making another one. But instead of lemons, I'm going to make it limes.

Well I have a lot to do today, You all have a great week and hope you can make it back again.
