You Are My Happy Card

Hey Crafter's, Thanks for taking the time to visit. For my card share today I have created my very first Mini Slimline card.

I used a stamp set from Close to My Heart called Ice Cream Dream

to make the Ice cream bar. Colored it with Arrtx and Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

For the little dots on the background I used a retired stamp from S.U. called Itty Bitty Backgrounds. I use that set so much. It's one of those sets that I could never part with.

I wanted some larger dots but didn't want them perfectly shaped, so I used an eraser on a pencil and it worked great.

The colors of ink that I used were pumpkin pie, bashful blue and memento black.

I will definitely be making some more slimeline cards, love the size.

Thanks for stopping by, would love for you to leave me a comment.

Have a great day!

Mushroom Card & Recipe

Hello, glad you stopped by. I have a card to share today. I needed a couple of birthday cards so I decided to use a new stamp that I had actually won from In Love Art Shop. The stamp is called Hello Autumn.

 Supplies used-

Mushroom stamp- In love Arts

Sentiment- from S.U Best Birds stamp set

Cardstock- Red, White and black

Alcohol Markers

Sponge

Satin Ribbon

Also thought I would share a recipe with you for (No bake) baked beans. I have been making these for years. I love baked beans but I think alot of times they tend to dry out after being baked and I really don't like that.

Also in the heat of summer I don't like to use the oven as much. So I came up with this recipe to make on the stove top.

(No Bake) Baked Beans

Ingredients needed

One large can (19.75 oz.) Campbell's Pork and Beans

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4th cup ketchup (I use a little less)

1/2 tsp. mustard

1/4th tsp. chili powder

In medium saucepan add all ingredients and mix well. Heat up till it just starts to boil.

This is super easy and quick to make. Everyone that has tried it says that it's really good. So if you like baked beans but don't want to mess with heating up the oven, you might want to give this a try.

Also this is a family size. But you would want to make more for a get together with family and friends.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great week.

July Birthday Card

Hello and welcome to my blog. Can you believe that we are already in the month of July. This year seems to be flying by.

Made a birthday card for one of my sister's. So of course I had to share it with you all.

Made this card using a napkin. I thought it was so pretty and perfect for my sister. It was super easy to make. Added a Happy Birthday sentiment and also added three diamond gems to the center of a few of the flowers. and it was done.

I also thought I would share another recipe with you. This one is for Orange Fluff. I have been making this about once a week to give to my Mom. She is in love with it and says is the best dessert in the world.

Seriously she wants it as soon as she wakes up and again before going to bed. Since she loves it so much of course I have to keep making it.

Orange Fluff

Ingredient's needed

One 24 oz. container of cottage cheese

1 small box orange jello

1 cup coconut flakes

1 can off mandarin oranges (drained well)

3/4th bag of miniature marshmellos

1 tub of cool whip

I large bowl add cottage cheese and jello (mix well)

add coconut and marshmallow. Mix

add well drained mandarin oranges. (I chop them up some) mix

add cool whip last and mix well. Keep in container with lid in the refrigerator over night.

That's it from me today. Hope you all have a great 4th of July. Thanks for stopping by.

Banjo Pickin Pig Card

Hello, Glad you stopped by. I had a request from someone wanting a  card for a guy for Father's day and they wanted a banjo on it. So when I came across this image I thought it would be perfect.

On the left side of the image there was a little place messed up so I added a strip of jute twine to hide it.

I stamped grass in blue on the musical note paper. To represent (Bluegrass Music). The grass stamp is retired from Stampin Up.

Sorry the picture quality isn't the best. I think he will really like it. It actually looks a lot like him. The guy is also bald. Hee! Hee!

That's It for me. Hope you all are doing well. Have a good day and God bless!

Mother's Day Card

Hello, Haven't posted a card in awhile. Shame on me, right? So I thought I would share the card that I made for my Mom for Mother's Day.

For this card I used a napkin that I had picked up at the Dollar Tree around Easter time. I thought it would make a nice card for Mother's Day.

Instead of just having a white card base I colored the edges with a Spectrum Noir alcohol marker. The number is PP3.

Several month's back I removed all of my rubber stamps from their wood blocks. So I'm not sure what company made the sentiment stamp. I think I had got it from Hobby Lobby.

Sprayed an adhesive on the front and then added Dazzling Diamonds from Stampin Up. Not sure if they even sale dazzling diamonds any more. But it's a great glitter.

Also added a sparkly sheer ribbon. Instead of a bow I just tied a knot so that it wouldn't cover up to much of the flowers.

So that's my card share this time. Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a blessed day and to all you Mom's, Happy Mother's Day!

Sweet 16 Card

Hello glad you stopped by. I have been missing in action for awhile. I don't think I made even one post during this month.

Even though I haven't been crafting very often I had to create a card for my Grand daughter Scarlett for her sweet 16th birthday.

So here is the card that I made for her.

I wasn't for sure what kind of card to make her, but I knew that I wanted to use a tiny floral print paper. One of her gifts is a summer dress with tiny flowers.

I cut the 16 out with my Cricut. and popped the whole piece up with foam tape. You can't tell but I added Wink of Stella to the flowers and to the tiny dots that are going down the side of the card for some sparkle.

I'm happy with how the card turned out and I think she will like it. It felt really good to do some crafting. Hopefully I can get back in there soon and make something else.

I recently made some Oatmeal Raisin Cookies and wanted to share the recipe.

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

-Ingredients-

2 1/2 cups quick oats

1 1/2 cups flour

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

3/4 tsp cinnamon

2 sticks room temperature butter

1 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 cup sugar

2 eggs

2 tsp vanilla

1 1/2 raisins

preheat oven 350

.In large bowl combine oats, flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Set aside
In another bowl mix butter, vanilla, eggs until smooth. Mix into oat mixture. Add raisins and mix.drop on cookie sheet at least 1 1/2 inches apart. Bake for 10 minutes. Cool & enjoy

I usually make these cookies a few times a year and the family always loves them. If you decide to make them, let me know how they turned out.

That's it for me today

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Warm & Cozy Christmas Card & Snowball Cookies

Hello, Glad you stopped by. Today I am sharing a hot Cocoa Christmas card.

To make this card I used a napkin. Thought the image of hot Cocoa in a cup was cute.

I stamped the snowflakes in Real Red Ink. The snowflakes are a retired set from Stampin Up.

Used a stitched circle die and also a circle punch. Picked up the paper from JoAnn's. Also added a little red satin ribbon.

Since it's the season of giving I thought I would share another recipe.

This one is for Snowball Cookies. A perfect cookie for the Holidays.

♥️  Snowball Cookies, also known as Russian Tea Cakes or Mexican Wedding Cake, are a delightfully nutty little balls of powdered sugar covered goodness! These classic holiday shortbread cookies come out every year at Christmas🎄 and everybody loves them! They are messy, but sooo worth it!! Enjoy!

Snowball Cookies

INGREDIENTS

1cup butter softened

1 tsp. vanilla extract

  2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour sifted

 1/2 cup powdered sugar

  1 cup pecans chopped fine

  Additional powdered sugar for coating

INSTRUCTIONS Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a medium bowl, beat butter and vanilla until smooth and creamy, about 3-4 minutes. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, powdered sugar and salt, then stir into the butter, mixing just until combined.

Mix in the chopped pecans. Roll dough into 1 inch balls and place them 1 inch apart on the prepared baking sheet.

What’s great about these cookies the don’t spread allot during baking.

Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly browned on the bottoms. DO NOT OVER BAKE.

Remove from oven and wait just until they are cool enough to handle but still warm, then roll in powdered sugar and transfer to a separate baking sheet or parchment. Wait until cool, then roll in powdered sugar again to generously coat.

Store in an airtight container. Tips: • Don’t over bake • Don’t over knead the dough • Chill dough balls in freezer 15 minutes before baking (put in oven chilled)

I enjoy these cookies with a cup of coffee. So good!

That's all from me. Thanks for stopping by. Hope you can make it back.

Merry Christmas!
