Santa & Reindeer Card

Today is the first day of December. This year has flown by, I have decided not to make a lot of Christmas cards this year. Will be making some for my sisters, daughter and nieces.

For the cards that I am making for my nieces I wanted to go with more simple cards but all different. Here is the first one that I have made.

Sunflower Birthday Card

Hello, thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog. Some of you may have seen my last post where I shared my mom's birthday card and also about my mom's illness. Sadly, she has passed away.  It's a very sad and difficult time right now for me and my family. But we find comfort in knowing that she is now home in heaven with her family that she missed so much and with Jesus.

Her birthday is in a few days and I'm so glad that we had her an early birthday party and that she got to see the card that I had made for her.

Thank you to the one's that said a prayer for my mom and my family.

Today I have a Birthday card to share with you all. This one is for my daughter Jade. She was actually due on my mom's birthday, but she was born a few days early.

My daughter loves sunflowers, she plants some every year. So, I thought she would love this image.

I colored it with alcohol markers. Used a sponge to add a little blue in the sky with Bashful Blue Ink from S.U.

Cardstocks used- S.U. Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Early Espresso and white

Embossing folder is called Forest Branches, sentiment from Spellbinders and tag die is from S.U.

Again, thank you for stopping by, Hope you have a blessed day.

Birthday card for Mom

Hello and thanks for stopping by. This is going to be hard post for me to write.

Today I am sharing with you a birthday card for my mom. Her birthday isn't for a few more weeks but I had to make it early.

My Mom has been losing her appetite for several weeks now. We just recently found out that she has pancreatic cancer. She was admitted to the hospital. They tried several times to insert a feeding tube, but it didn't work because she has a large hernia blocking it. I'm sure that's part of the reason she stopped eating. She was sent home a few days ago to live out her days.

Alot of the family got together and had her an early birthday party. She opened her eyes for about a minute to see her card. She has always loved receiving my cards. It broke my heart knowing that this will be my last card that I make for her.

I would appreciate if you all could keep my mom and my family in your prayers. The days ahead are going be tough for us.

(I thank God for giving me such a wonderful Mom)

I had decided not to enter any challenges, but to celebrate my mom and her love of my cards I've decided to enter some.

Cute Racoon Card

Hello and welcome, the weather is really getting chilly. Some nights have been dipping down to the low 30's. UGH, I don't like cold weather. It's getting close to Halloween. I don't think I'm going to be making any Halloween cards this year.

But you never know I might get around to making one last minute. But I do have a card to share with you all today.

This one is a birthday card for my niece Tiffany.

The reason I made her this card is that she actually has a pet Racoon. His name is Puddles, she has raised him since he was a baby. He was found in a puddle of water in the middle of a road.

Even though the picture is blurry, here is a picture of puddles and one of his playmates.

 Supplies used-

Racoon Image from Pinterest, Design Paper-Grateful Tree Farm,

C-stock-Brazzil (Wildberry pie), Neenah Bright White- which actually looks more off white, Stamp Set-S.U. Garden Birdhouses, Square stitched die, Cloud stitched die, Alcohol Markers-Spectrum Noir & Master's Touch. I also added some jute twine, I think it goes well with a nature scene.

Thanks for stopping by, Hope your day is full of smiles.

Cute Fall B-day Card & Kicking Out 18 Card

Today is the first day of October. Yay! October is my favorite month of the year. Cooler weather, the trees start changing color. Decorating for fall and Halloween. It's just a great time of year.

I do have a couple of cards to share with you all today.

The first one is for my niece Shawna. I think this cute fall digital image is from Bugaboo Stamps, but not sure. Unfortunately, they are no longer in business.

Colored the image with alcohol markers. I think the rectangle frame around the image is from In Love Arts Store. I thought the stitched sun would be perfect for this card, but I can't remember where I got it. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions.

My second card is for my grandson Walker, He likes simple cards, and I think this is about as simple as I could get.

I came across this image awhile back while I was searching for birthday card ideas on the internet. I thought it was funny and thought that it would be simple enough for me to draw.

I used an edge distresser on the black cardstock and used S.U. Very Vanilla cardstock for the base and top. The sentiment is from a S.U. set called Birthday Whimsy. Uses a black permanent marker for the drawing.

As far as making a simple card, I think I nailed it. Ha! I do hope that it will bring a smile to the birthday boy.

Thanks for stopping by, Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Cute Elephant Birthday Card

Hello crafter's, Today I am sharing another birthday card with you. This one is for my sister Christy.

When she was little, she had a stuffed elephant named Elffie. I had made her an elephant card last year as well and she really liked it so I thought I would make another one for this year.

I found this sweet elephant image on Pinterest under free elephant coloring pages. But it seems like I may have seen this image as a stamp before. If anyone knows if it is part of a stamp set, I would like to know.

I really enjoyed making this card. It's always extra fun when I get to color.

Here is a list of supplies used to make the card.

Alcohol markers- Master's Touch, Arrtx, Spectrum Noir and Touch Five

Designer paper from S.U.

Blue cardstock- S.U. White cardstock, black c.s.

Scalloped rectangle die and scalloped tag die

Sentiment made on computer (font from dafont called small kitchen)

Yellow satin ribbon

Hope you all enjoyed seeing my latest card and hope that you all can come back again.

Happy Birthday Tweety Card

Hello crafter's, glad you stopped by. I can't get over that it's already August. This year is going by so fast. I actually just started buying some Christmas presents. I can't handle that last minute frantic shopping. Do any of you start buying early?

The weather has been pretty hot for the past few days. We have had several thunderstorms that helped with the heat. Thank goodness. But no rain today. So, it's hot. I'll be honest with you; I hate to sweat.

Anyway, I had better get on with the card that I have made. This card is for my niece Angie. When Angie was a baby, she kind of looked like Tweety Bird. So, that became her nickname. I thought it would be cute to make her a Tweety card.

I found the cute Tweety image on Pinterest and colored it with alcohol markers. The birdcage shape was made in Cricut design space. I welded the top circle and bottom together. I also sliced a center circle out from the main circle.

Printed the sentiment in design space and cut it out using a stitched tag die. The font is called Small Kitchen from Dafont.

Polka Dot embossing folder, the blue cardstock is from Stampin Up.  Added a few yellow ribbons and three little flower gems.

I think it turned out super cute. That's going to be it for me today. Thanks for stopping by. Hope your day is full of smiles.

Mushroom Birthday Card

Hello, hope you're having a good day. I have a birthday card to share with you all.

This card is for my niece Amanda. I had made her a mushroom card last year for her birthday and she loved it but sadly her home burned down and lost almost everything that she had including some of her animals.

Thankfully someone driving by seen the fire and busted the door down and pulled her out. She was asleep and she was breathing in the smoke. If he hadn't stopped, she probably wouldn't have made it.

So, for this year I happily made her another mushroom card. I used the same stamp set as before but I used the larger mushrooms.

It's actually one large stamp with large mushrooms on one side and smaller ones on the other side. It's from In Love Arts Store and it's called Hello Autunm.

Here are the other items used-

Sentiment from SU Happy Thoughts

Alcohol Markers- Spectrum Noir, Masters Touch and Arrtx

Cardstock- SU Real Red, Black and White

Sponged Sky- SU Bashful Blue Ink

Memento Tuxedo Black Ink

Wink of Stella

White satin ribbon colored green with alcohol marker

That's all from me today. Hope you can come back sometime and remember to check your smoke alarms to make sure they are working properly.

 Have a wonderful day!

Birthday Wishes Card

Hello and welcome, Glad you found a little time to visit me. For today's card share I have created a birthday card.

Sorry that the picture is a little blurry. I took it really late at night. I really shouldn't be allowed to do anything when I'm sleepy.

On the watering can I decided to do something a little different. I decided on just tapping the alcohol markers all over instead of the usual way. Wasn't for sure if I liked the look of it or not and almost threw it away. But finally decided to use it.

The watering can is from Pretty Pink Posh called Flower Bouquets. The sentiment comes from a set called Birthday Rose Corner from Memory box. The stitched die is from Reverse Confetti (I think). It's not in the original package anymore.

Cardstock-Calypso Coral, White and black

Patterned paper is from a 6x6 paper pack

Alcohol Markers used- Master's Touch, Arrtx, Spectrun Noir

Blue satin ribbon

I think the finished card turned out ok and I did have fun getting to color again.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you can stop by again sometime. Have a wonderful day.

Birthday card for my Sister

Hello so happy you stopped by. Today I am sharing a birthday card that I made for one of my sister's. Had to add some purple because her favorite color is purple. It's also my favorite.

The birds are from a stamp and die set from Pretty Pink Posh. First time using them. Used alcohol markers to color them. I hadn't done any coloring for a while, so I had fun. I like coloring smaller images rather than larger ones.

I'm not very good at coloring and large images are kind of intimidating and makes me nervous.

This was my first time using this die. Can't remember where I got it. I have all of my dies out of there packaging and put in binders with magnetic sheets.

I made the sentiment on my computer and then printed it out. It's so nice to be able to do that when you don't have the right stamp. The font is from Dafont. It's called Small Kitchen.

Cardstock that I used are Old Olive, Black and White. The Gingham paper I had in my stash.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my latest card. Thanks again for stopping by. Hope you have a wonderful day and God bless!

Graduation Card for Walker

Hello and thanks for stopping by. Today my grandson Walker Quade will be graduating from high school. I'm having mixed emotions about him graduating.

I'm so happy for him and feel blessed to be able to be here for the celebration. But I'm also sad that he is no longer that sweet little boy that would stop by after getting off the bus looking for something good to eat.

He has grown up into a wonderful young man that I'm very proud of and yes, he is still sweet.

So, I wanted to share with you all the card I made for him.

This card came together fairly quick. Well, it would have been done a little sooner if I hadn't mess up the hat and had to make a second one.

Made the graduation hat on my Cricut and the sentiment is from a set called Perfect Pairing from S.U.

It's going to be a busy day, so I need to get going. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Just For You Mother's Day Card

Good evening, it has been a gorgeous day here in Indiana. 64 degrees. Sunny, Blue skies with giant fluffy clouds, birds singing and a light breeze. Can't beat this weather. I hate it when it gets too hot.

We are just a few days away from Mother's Day, I wasn't for sure if I was going to be able to get a card made. But I finally got it done.

My Mom is 87 years young and has always loved my cards that I have created for her. She love's sparkly things so of course I had to add some sparkle. It's actually a lot more sparkly in person.  I think she will be happy with this one.

Since I didn't have a lot of time I decided on a napkin card. They are great if you need a fast card. The longest part is waiting for the napkin to dry to the cardstock. I thought I was done but remembered to add a few pearls for one of the challenges.

Wanting to wish a Happy Mother's Day to all of you. Thanks for stopping by. God bless!

Bridal Shower Card

Hello and happy Tuesday to you all. Today I am sharing a Bridal Shower card that I made for my great-niece Amber.

Her bridal shower theme is Bees. Such a cute theme, but I wasn't for sure if I had any stamps of bees. Finally found one.  So here is the card that I made her.

The stamp set is from Bo Bunny called Hello Sunshine. I had only used this stamp set one other time, so it was nice to get to use it again.

The sentiment I typed out in Cricut design space and printed it with my printer. The font is called Ink Free.

Used a larger scalloped rectangle die to make the card base. Also used a smaller die from the same set for the card front.

The designer paper is from Bo Bunny it's also called Hello Sunshine. Also used white and black cardstock.

Colored the little bees with alcohol markers and used a red glitter heart sticker for them to hold. I almost never use stickers, so I was happy to use one.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful week!

Young & Sweet and only 17 Birthday Card

Good morning, so glad you could stop by. For my card today I made my granddaughter a record player card.

When she was a little girl, we would listen to all sorts of music. Having fun singing and dancing. One of the songs that we liked was a song from the 70's called Dancing Queen.

I told her that when she turned seventeen, I would play the song for her. Well, that day is here. Today is her 17th birthday. The years have flown by. I wish I could turn back time and go back to those fun times.

So, for her birthday card I wanted too somehow add that song to it. So here is the card I came up with.

The stamp and die set are from Sugar Pea Designs called Greatest Hits. Also used various dies and star punch.

I used the draw feature on Cricut to create the words to the song. It was my first time using it. I didn't have a Cricut pen in black, so I used an extra fine sharpie.

I had to take out the center pen holder and wrapped two pencil grippers around the pen. You do have to cut one side of the gripper. I tried just one gripper, but it wasn't enough to keep the pen steady. Was so happy that it actually worked.

For the card I also used S.U. clear embossing powder, versa mark, brads, heat gun, packing foam to use with my cutting dies and my very old and very loved cuttlebug.

You can't tell but the record is shiny from the clear embossing powder.

I wanted to add a disco ball but didn't have anything like it, so I cut out three circles with glitter silver cardstock. The stars are also made with yellow glitter cardstock.

Hoping that she likes her card. She will be coming later after school. We will be listening to Dancing Queen and having her favorite Strawberry Angel Cake. (You can find the recipe on the left-hand side bar.)

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

Happy Birthday Scarlett River!!!
