Happy Spring Card & Hashbrown Cass.

Hello everyone, Nice sunny morning hear in Indiana today.  The weather has been crazy lately. Going to have some chilly nights this week. Down in the 20s and 30s.

Did you know when the first day of Spring was? Well I sure did. Almost everyday for the past several months my Mom has told me that the first day of Spring is March 20th.

My sweet Mom is in her 80s and could not wait for Spring. So today I am sharing with you a Spring card that I have made for her.

I always get nervous when I know I'm going to be coloring something. But I'm o.k. with how it turned out.

I know you can't tell but I added a little green in the centers of the flowers. Thought that might make them look a little more realistic.

The daffodil image is from SheepSki Designs. I colored it with Master's Touch and Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

I recently won that pretty sheer black ribbon. Love how sparkly it is. It's from Stampin Up.  I will definitely be ordering some.

I'm sure that this card will bring a big smile to my sweet Mom. Love her so much.

I also thought I would share another recipe with you all. My family always loves when I make Hashbrown Casserole. So I thought this would be a good one to share.

Hashbrown Casserole

Ingredients needed-

One large bag of frozen shredded Hashbrown

1 can of cream of celery soup (can also use chicken, potato, mushroom). I like the celery

3/4 stick melted butter

1 and a half cup sour cream

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

A little dried onion flakes - (Optional) You can also use diced onion

Pepper and salt to taste

A few shakes of dried parsley flakes (optional)

Preheat oven to 350

In a extra large bowl combined all ingredients except hashbrowns. After mixing add frozen hashbrown and mix well.

Pour in a sprayed 9 x 13 baking dish.

Topping

In medium bowl mix together 2 cups cornflakes with 1/4 cup melted butter. Using the mixing spoon I crush them just a little. Sprinkle over top of hashbrown mixture.

Bake in a 350 oven for around 45 minutes or until bubbly and golden.

This recipe is easy to make. I love to make it in the cold winter months.  This is also known as funeral potatoes. Nice for get togethers like Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Thanks so much for visiting. Hope you enjoyed your visit. Happy Spring to you.

Love, Coffee & Flowers

Hey Crafter's, So glad you could stop by. I have been having so much fun on the Spring/Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop. Love seeing all the amazing coffee,Tea and Hot Cocoa cards and other creations. So much Inspiration packed into one hop.

On my last post I shared a coffee card that I entered into the hop.

Today I wanted to share with you another coffee card. I had so much fun making it.

I used the But First Coffee Stamp Set on this one. It's from Journal's for Life and they are one of the Super Sponsors. It was my first time using this set and I love it! I colored the image with alcohol markers.

This was also my first time using the round Spellbinders die set that I stamped the image on.

I thought this sentiment was perfect for my card.  It's from Graciellie. By the sentiment I added a little flower that I stamped and fussy cut. It's also from the Journal's for Life set. Used markers from S.U. to color it. Added a little gemstone on the other side.

My two favorite colors are purples and greens. So I loved the bright green sheer ribbon with the shimmery lavender cardstock.

There is still time to make a project and play along. There is some  AWESOME Super Sponsors that are having giveaways and they are also having some great sales on their products.

(You Are In My Prayers) Sympathy Card

Today I am sharing with you a Sympathy card. Yes, another sympathy card. Sadly I have made several lately.

I made this card for my best friend. Her Mom passed away and I wanted to make her a card to let her know how sorry I was to hear about her passing.

First time using this stamp set. Thought the flowers would look pretty in blue.  I love flower stamps. Hoping I won't have a need for anymore Sympathy cards for a long time.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Hope you have a good day and God bless.

Crafter Thank You Card

Hello Crafter's, Glad you could stop by. I was looking through my paper and seen this retired Stampin Up paper. So decided to use it on a thank you card.

Not sure of the name of the Designer's Series paper used but I do like It and thought it was a good color to use with the scalloped die.

Someone sent me that little scissor die and I think it's so cute. I cut it once in a shinny silver and once in black. Just used the bottom part of the black.

I made several of these cards. Sending them with happy mail to the paper crafter's that have sent me cards and goodies in a paper crafter group on Facebook.

That's all I have to share today. Hope you can make it back. Would love for you to leave a comment. Stay Safe!

Elements of Style Sympathy Card

On my last post I shared with you a sympathy card. It was for my husbands cousin. Here sister had passed from the virus. Today's card is for her Mom. I know it's been hard on her losing her daughter Connie.

Made this card using the stamp Set called Elements of Style from Stampin Up. Colored it with some alcohol markers. I did cut out a few extra flowers so that they would hang over the oval die.

Thought the brick embossing folder would look nice on this card. Also used a oval stitched die and a green sheer ribbon with gold trim. The sentiment is from an old sponge stamp set.

That's all from me today friends. Hoping your all safe and well. Blessings to you all.
