Christmas Crochet Ornaments

Hello Crafty Friends, so glad you could stop by. Today Is Christmas Eve. This morning went to Church. My niece McKinley and her husband was In from New Mexico. Was so exited that we got to hear her sing Silent Night. She did a wonderful job.

Last night we had our Christmas bingo party at my Uncle Ottie's Church. He Is the pastor there. We have always had it on Christmas Eve but switched to a day early so to help with the families that have to travel far distances. Had a great time and the food was great to.

I thought I would share a couple of pictures of the ornaments that I made my family, friends and Grand kids teachers. I always make crocheted ornaments every year.
They all Loved them.

I also made some red, white and blue ones for my family members in the military. But forgot to get a picture of them.
Was going to take a picture of all of them together. But since I forgot I just took pictures of the two I had saved for myself.

So far these were the easiest ornaments I have made. Worked up fast. Put stuffing on the inside.

If you would like  to try to make some of these simple ornaments you can go to youtube and search Simple Crochet Ornaments. It Is a guy that made these on his channel. He goes by Crouton Crafts.

Hope you enjoyed seeing them and hope you give them a try. Time for me to go make a big pot of Chili. It's a family tradition to have chili on Christmas Eve.

Merry Christmas to you All !!!

Painted Harvest Birthday Card!

Hello, Thanks for stopping by. Spent the day with my husband and sister. Did a little shopping. Went In Hobby Lobby. They had 80% off of their Halloween decorations. That was so fun!
Also went to the dollar store. Those little things for a dollar add up real quick. Had a good lunch at Olive Garden. Then ended up going to the Wal-Mart. I have a really bad back and knee. I seriously didn't think I was going to make It. I was never so glad to get home and rest.

Well enough about my day, I want to Share a Card that I made for my Daughter. My little girl Is now 33. It actually doesn't seem that long ago that I was 33. Time goes by to way to fast.

For the card that I made her, I used the new stamp set from Stampin Up called Painted Harvest. LOVE- LOVE-LOVE this Stamp Set.
As soon as I seen It, I knew I had to have It.

She LOVED It! I knew she would. She always places her Birthday Cards from me on her large window ledge. She has 5 sitting there now. I'm already thinking what kind I will make her next year.

Here Is a list of things I used to make the card.

Stamp Sets-
Painted Harvest, Well Scripted and Itty Bitty Backgrounds
Cardstock- Crumb Cake, Summer Sun, Very Vanilla
Ink- Cajun Craze, Summer Sun, Early Expresso, Old Olive
Ribbon and Siquins

Loved the way It turned out. Looking forward to playing with different color combinations with the flowers.

That's It for me. I'm exhausted and In pain, going to go make me a cup of coffee and nothing else.  Thanks for stopping by.

Halloween Test Tube Treat Holders and Tags

Hello, Thanks for stopping by. Was hoping to get this post In yesterday on Halloween, but It just didn't happen. I never know how many Trick or Treater's I will get. On average around 16. This year I only got 8. I was kind of disappointed. ( I can predict that I will be eating some little chocolate candy bars later today).

My Grand Children, this year was a Black Cat and some scary looking guy, I think It was Jason. Not really Into the scary movies. But Walker thought it was fun and Scarlett looked so cute In her Black kitty outfit.

I made them some treat bags, with some goodies In It. Also had toothbrush and toothpaste In It. Made a cute little tag that say's BRUSH YOUR FANGS. So Cute! The Fangs stamp is from Stampin Up. Also I made them little treat holders and put the test tubes In them from Stampin Up and filled them with a little candy.

Here are a few pictures I took before they got here.

Also used the new Cat Punch from Stampin Up. Stamped Oct 31st on stitched circles. Used Halloween Twine around one cats neck.
Rounded the corners of the treat box with the envelope punch board.

Those were so simple and fun to make. It uses a piece of 4x11 cardstock. There Is a video on youtube that I followed to make these.
If you would like to try making some, there are several video's of them. Just type in Test Tube Treat Holders.

Thought those little tags were so Cute. Colored them with Stampin Up Markers. Added a little red to the pointed teeth. Tied them with Bakers Twine.

I forgot to get a picture of Walker and Scarlett (What was I thinking) but my daughter took one, so thought I would share a photo of them.

Walker has got the scary look down for sure and that's the cuttest Black Kitty I have ever seen. They are getting so big.

Now that Halloween Is over, let the Christmas Music begin!!!!!
Honestly I have already been listening to It. (LOVE IT)!!!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you stop by again. Happy Day to you and God Bless.

Card for Debbie

Hi and thanks for stopping by. Thought I would post a picture of the Card that I made for my Sisters birthday. She Is the big 60. Since her birthday Is In the fall and she loves flowers. I knew her card had to have a flower on It.

Kind of not happy with the way it turned out, because I wasn't really able to blend the colors together on the flowers. My blender pen Is completely dry. So not the greatest but I still think she will like It.

The stamp set that I used is by Multi Crafts called Floral Fantasy. Cut the oval out on my Cricut. The For You Is from the Stampin Up  Stamp Set called Chalk Talk. Used a circle punch to punch It out.
Also used the Brick Embossing Folder.
Cardstock  used- Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White
Inks Used- Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard and Old Olive.
Love the twine ribbon that I used. called Boho Modern. Gives the card a little rustic feel.

My Sister's Birthday Party Is later today. Hoping she likes It. I'm sure we will have a great time. We all are crazy when we get together. But first I have to go to Physical Therapy on my back. I really don't want to go. Oh well at least I have something fun to look forward to afterwards.
Thanks for stopping by. Come back again. Hoping you have a good day and God Bless!

Sasquatch has been spotted!

Hey Crafty Friends, Glad you could stop by. Yesterday was my little Sisters birthday. The big "50".

When trying to think of a card to make her. I laughed at the thought of making a Sasquatch Card. Because I call her that sometimes because she Is a lot taller than me. Last year I put Sasquatch on her Christmas Tag and she knew who it was from. Ha!

Anyway here Is the Card that I made her. I just printed it of of the computer. So It was super easy. The Inside says; YOU CAN COME OUT OF HIDING IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY!

Ha! Every time I looked at it I laughed. So Funny!

We had a surprise Birthday Party for her last night. The look on her face was priceless. She knew It was from me as soon as she seen It. She loved It and everyone got a big kick out of it.

Well that's It for me today. Wanting to go to my Craft Room but need to clean up the kitchen first. Will just have to wait until later to play.

Happy Day to you and may God bless you and keep you safe.

Card for a Dear Friend

Hi Crafter's, So glad you could stop by. The weather Is a lot cooler. Starting to feel like fall. (I LOVE IT!!!) The hot weather Is behind us and I couldn't be happier.

A dear friend of mine just turned 80 and I wanted to share with you all the card that I made her. I found out a day before they were having a party, so I made this card in record time. I don't like to be in a rush when making a card but somehow come up with something.

Used the Stampin Up Stamp Set called Wild about Flowers.  I am so glad that I bought this set.

Cut out a stitch circle die and then sponged a little Bashful Blue Ink for the sky, Summer Sun for the sun and a little Old Olive for the grass. The flowers are in Positively Pink and Old Olive. Added the circle to a Doily from Stampin Up.

The Cardstock Is Positively Pink and Whisper White. Embossed the white cardstock and added some ribbon.

Well that's It for me today. Going to go spend the night with my Mamma tonight. Happy Day to you all.

Sweet 16 Birthday Cards

Hey glad you could stop by. I have a nasty cold right now. Runny nose and cough all the time. Had it now for over a week. I can't wait to get over It.

Are you going to be watching the Total Eclipse? We are looking forward to It. Glasses are sold out everywhere around here. We did pick up a couple of pair at Walmart. Wish I had gotten a few more.

Tomorrow we will be going to my two nieces (twins) Sweet 16 Birthday party.  I think there is going to be dancing. I won't be doing any of that with my bad knee.

Here are the cards that I made for them.

Used the Sweet Treats Cartridge, The number 16 is from a stamp set from My Creative Time. Embossed the Ice Cream and to make the texture on the cones, I used my Martha Stewart Score board. Love the look of the cones.

Well that's it for me, I'm going to have to go take something for this cough. So annoying!!!

Take care and make sure you protect those eyes during the eclipse. Please stop back by sometime. I love It when you all visit me.

Crochet Dishcloth and Strawberry Angel Cake Recipe

Hi, Glad you could stop by. Today Is Wednesday. The grand kids are here. School starts back tomorrow. So today Is the last day of summer break. It goes by so fast. Wish they didn't have to go back so soon.

Thought I would share with you a Crocheted Dish Cloth that I made for my niece for her bridal shower. This was several months ago. But thought I would go ahead and show you all.

Since It was several months ago, I can't remember what stitches that I used. It's all cotton.
Since It was part of her gift, I rolled and tied It with some twine and added a tag.  She really liked It. I need to ask her If she has used It It yet.

Thought tied up this way was a little nicer.  My niece has been having some health problems. Makes It bad that she's so far from all her family. Please say a prayer for her.

Also thought I would share a recipe with you all. It's a Strawberry Dump Cake. I call It Strawberry Angel Cake and yes It does taste a little like heaven.

http://easyrecipesly.com/the-easiest-strawberry-cake/

I make this a little differently than the recipe. I use fresh strawberries. Mix them in some sugar and let them sit for awhile so they get juicy. I also let the jello cool down a little before adding the strawberries to It.

I have made this several times and made one just last night. We all Love It and will enjoy some more later for this last day of Summer break.

Hope you try this recipe. Really easy and really good. Thanks for stopping by.

Background Stamping with Yarn

Have been enjoying the cooler temperatures that we have been having lately, Love going outside when it's nice. But sadly It's getting hot again. So I will be spending more time indoors. Hopefully get some crafting done. Oh and maybe a little Housework to.

I'm glad you could stop by. Two of my favorite Hobbies are Paper Crafting and Crochet. Well I figured out a way to combine the two.

For the background I took my biggest clear block and wrapped it in yarn and inked it up and stamped on the white cardstock.

Thought it gave it a different fun effect. Wasn't for sure how it would look used on a card. But I think the end result Is cute.

Well the grand kids will be here in a few minutes so I had better end this post. Hope you enjoyed seeing my card and maybe you can think of some fun ways to make you some background paper to.

Enjoy your day, hope you can stop by again soon.

Card for the Hoppy Couple

The sun Is shining this morning, Suppose to be Sunny and warm here today. We have had so much rain and flooding. That seeing a day full of sunshine and no rain Is so nice to see.
If you seen my last post, You have seen the Wedding Card that I made for my niece McKinley and her new husband Michael.

Today I want to share with you a Card that I helped my Grand Daughter make to give to my niece and her new husband.

We thought a frog Card would be cute because while they were dating they would catch frogs. They even had two frogs on top of their wedding cake.  ( I would also like to add that I think catching frogs Is totally gross). Blah!

So here Is the card we made for them.

This Card was pretty fun to make. Besides cutting out those frogs. That was a little tricky. I don't like cutting things out.

Used the stamp set Unfrogettable  from Stampin Up.

Here is a list of the other things I used.
Spellbinders Die Beaded Circles- For the Card Base
Circle and wavy Stitched Dies
Cardstock- Soft Sky, Crumb Cake (Kraft), Whisper White, Old Olive and Real Red
Green and White polka dot paper from my stash and a white Signo Pen for eyes.

Thought I would go ahead and share a picture of their wedding cake to show you the two little frogs on top of the cake.

Click on the picture to enlarge, If you can't see the frogs

When we made the card, we had no Idea they were going to have frogs on their cake. Thought it was so cute and Michaels Grandfather cut the tree for the base of the cake. Thought that was sweet.

So that Is all I have to share with you today. Thanks to all who stop by. Would love for you to leave a comment. If you do, please leave your Blog name so I can visit you.

I did want to share with you a card that I made for my Niece McKinley.
She was married this past Saturday and her and her husband are moving to New Mexico.

I thought it would be fun to make her a Cactus Wedding Card. Unfortunately I didn't have any Cactus Stamps or anything so I just decided to draw some. They were very simple to draw.

So here Is here Card...

I know that this Isn't a very good picture of It. But It's the only one I got before heading off to the wedding.

I have to say this Card was so fun to make. The Card Is really good sized. I think it was 5 1/2 x 6 1/2.

Not sure If you can tell but I added a veil from Tulle and for the part around her head, I just used a thin white ribbon and tied three knots in In. I can't remember what Cricut Cartridge I used for the Mr and Mrs.

Thanks to all of you that take the time to visit my blog.

Thought I would share a picture of the Happy Couple.

 Congratulations McKinley and Michael !!!

Tiny Milk Carton Box

Hello, Glad you could stop by. On my last post I had made a Card for my Niece's Bridal Shower. So today I thought I would share a little gift box that I had made to put one of her gifts In.

This tiny box Is so easy to make. It only takes a 4 1/8 x 6" piece of Cardstock.

You can find this box on youtube called Tiny Milk Carton Chocolate Egg Boxes.made by PootlesPapercraft.  Love to watch her video's.

Elements Of Style from Stampin Up Is the Stamp Set I used  and I used my new Stamp Perfect Stamp positioner from Hampton Art.

I am Loving this thing. I used a gift card and coupon and only paid a little over $6.00. Great deal!

My Niece McKinley will be getting married in about a month. Her future husband Is In the Air Force and will be moving to New Mexico. That's pretty far from Indiana.

Since I'm her (crazy) Aunt and have played several pranks on her. I made her a magnet with a picture of me to take with her. So when she see's It, It will be bring a smile.

That Is what I put In the tiny Box.  I also added a little tag on the outside that said (For when your missing me). She laughed so hard.

At least It wasn't a extra dirty sock. I have gave her a few of those as gifts before. I would even add sticky burs to them. I can still see her expression when she opened them. Oh how funny, I Love to laugh.

Well that's It for me today. Time for me to get some house work done. Blah!
Happy Day to you, hope you stop by again.

Bridal Shower Card

Today I want to share with you a Card that I made for my Niece for her Bridal Shower.

Sorry about the picture quality, I took It with my phone. I should have known better.

For the ring and ring box I used the Sweetheart Cartridge.
The Cardbase was cut from the Wild Card Cartridge.
Used a Stampin Up Embossing Plate on the pink paper.
Added some white glitter tulle
You can't tell from the picture but for the diamond I used white glitter paper.

I would also like to Thank my Sister for surprising me the other day with a Stamp Set that I have been wanting called High Tide from Stampin Up.

I was totally shocked. That was so sweet of her. I can't wait to use It.  (I'm Soooooo Excited)!!!!!

Cute Giraffe Card!

Hey Crafters, It's Wednesday (Hump Day)! Hope you all are doing well. The weather Is nice here today in Indiana. In the 60's and Sunshine. Tomorrow Is going to be even better. Going to be 70 and Sunny. That sounds so wonderful. Although I have to help my Sister tomorrow with some clean up from Tornado Damage. But at least It will be nicer than the Storms and rainy days we have had.

The Crazy thing Is that tomorrow will be 70 and this week end we are suppose to get snow. The weather here in Indiana Is like a roller coaster. Just Crazy!

Weather permitting this week end I am planning on attending the Birthday Party for my Great Great Nephew. Just typing that I feel sooo Old. His name Is Bo and He will be turning One years old.

I feel like I just made his Card for his Baby Shower. Time flies by to fast.
Anyway here Is his Card that I made for him.

So for the Inspiration for this Card Is the Giraffe April that has been on the Internet for the past few weeks. She Is expecting a Baby and you can watch her live.

I check on her every now and again to see If she has had her baby. My family acts like I'm crazy. I say hey there are worse things I could be looking at. Hee! Hee!

So when I was thinking of a card to make,A giraffe just popped into my head.

Cartridges used- Create a Critter, Wild Card and Sweet Treats
Embossed the number one with the Swiss Dots Folder.

This Card came together pretty quick and I think It turned out cute.

Happy Valentines Day!

Hello, It's Valentines Day! My Grand Children spent the night last night. Got them off to school and thought this Is the perfect time to get this post In.

I have been busy In my Craft Room making things for today. If you seen my post the other day then you seen the Valentine Box that I helped my Grand Daughter make. She was so excited to take It this morning.

Then yesterday I posted a cute card made for my Son's girl friend.
Today I have a few more things to share with you.

First I will show you the Card that I made for my Grand Daughter.

I knew that I wanted to add some glasses to her card because she Is my Nerd. So I used the Close to Home Stamp Set (School Years). I tried my best to get those lined up straight. Then stamped little hearts. The bottom part Is a Stampin Up Jumbo Wheel.
Also used the S.U. Scallop Punch, Stitched Circle Die, S.U. Scallop Boarder Punch and Sentiment Stamp Is just a cheap one from Michaels. I think It was only a dollar. Also a sparkly red ribbon.

For my Grandsons Card I had a hard time trying to come up with a card that I thought he would like. He Is getting a little older now. So I decided on making him a Pizza Card. Something he Loves.

Items used to make this Card-
Cricut Cartridges- Paper Dolls, Gypsy Wanderings,Simply Charmed
S.U. 1 Inch Circle Punch
S.U. Small Circle Punch
Martha Stewart Heart Punch
Cardstock- Riding Hood Red, Barely Banana,Crumb Cake,
Whisper White and Black
Sentiment made on Computer

Also wanted to share a Cute little necklace that I helped my Grand Daughter make. She brought all of the supplies. I did add a clear sealer over the paper after the picture was taken.

We thought It turned out so Cute. Still can't get over that she picked out every thing her self. She Is so Crafty for a 10 year old.

Well that's It for me today. Hope you all have a nice Valentine's Day.

Your Stinkin Cute!!!

I think this Is a first for me, two post in two days. I told you I had been busy.
Yesterday my son came over and ask me If I could make his girl friend a Valentines Card. At first I told him I didn't have time, He wouldn't stop asking.
I ask him If he would like to make her one his self. He wasn't going for that and It's probably a good thing he didn't. I don't know If I would really trust him with my Craft stuff. (From one Crafter to another, You know what I mean right)?
Anyway I finally gave In because I Love him and there was a few Challenges that I was wanting to enter. He decided that a little skunk would be fine. So that's what he got. Here Is the Card that I made.

First I want to say I'm sorry for such a poor quality picture. I took this picture with my phone before he took It.

This was my first time making this little Skunk and I think It's a cutie. Hoping that she will like It and that It will bring a smile.

Kitty Cat Valentine Box

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend. I know I am. The Grandkids spent the night last night. So just enjoying some quiet time to my self tonight. Hubby has gone to bed and I made me a cup of coffee and thought I would get this post made.

I have been spending a lot of time In my craft room lately. One of the things I have been doing Is helping my grand daughter make a Valentine Box for her to take to school. I think I have helped her make her boxes every year that she has been In school. So this would make number four.

But I really don't mind. I actually enjoying spending the time with her and creating something together.

This year she said that she would like a Cat. So we found a box, bought some white felt and got started.

So here Is the Kitty Cat Valentine box that we made.

The head and the tail was made from the Cricut Create a Critter Cartridge. Also used punches. For the feet I did add some yarn and used yarn for the whiskers. Really glad that we decided on using felt instead of cardstock. Looks a lot more like fur.

She Is so excited to take It to school Tuesday.  Well that's all for right now. Will be posting a few other things that I am working on In the next several days.

Enjoy your weekend and God Bless

Happy Birthday little Nerd!

Happy Tuesday to you all. So glad you could stop by. Today Is a Happy Day. My little Grand Daughter turns ten.

I'm not sure how, but ten years have seemed to fly by so quickly. I can remember the moment that she was born like It was yesterday.

Over the passed ten years we have had so much fun together. I call her my crafty side kick. She has told me several times that she Is so glad to have a Crafty Grandma.

My Grand Daughter Is so pretty and Is also very smart. I also call her my little Nerd.

One day we were looking at Greeting Farm Stamps and came across one called Cheeky Geeky. We knew right then that we had to have It.

So for her 10th Birthday I had to make her Card using the stamp. So here Is the Card that I made her.

I have been wanting to try coloring Images for a good while now. So this was my first real try at It. The only colors I have right now are Brown tones. So I used those for the hair and skin.
Since I don't have any other colors yet, I decided I would paper piece the rest. ( First time trying that to.)

I know that I need a lot more practice on coloring. But not to bad for my first try and I'm pretty sure that my little Geeky Nerd will love It.

Here are the supplies that I used to make this Card

The Greeting Farm Stamp- Cheeky Geeky
Stampin Up Blendabilites for hair and skin
S.U Black Marker to color In glasses
S.U. Versa Marker Pin for glasses, eyes and lips
S.U. Clear Embossing Powder- for glasses, eyes and lips
S.U. Blender Pin - to add shading to the skirt and tie
S.U. Scallop Border Punch
Happy Birthday Embossing Folder
Martha Stewart Balloon Punch
Circle Stitch Die
Yellow and White Bakers Twine- Seperated

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful day.
