Stitched Tag Card

Hello, glad you could stop by. It has been so rainy here.  Worried about flooding In my town and surrounding areas. Suppose to get a lot more in the days to come.

Thinking about my grand daughter today. She Is at Church camp all this week. First time she has been away from her family. I'm sure the rain is really messing up a lot of there outdoor activities. Hope she still has lots of fun.

So for today I wanted to share a card I made. I needed a thank you card and thought this sentiment was perfect.

When I was planning out how to make it. Nothing was coming to me. I wanted something a little different and then I thought of adding a tag to the front.

I almost pulled out my Cricut to make the tag but remembered that I had a tag cutting die set so thought that would be faster and I love the stitched look.

I rarely use black card stock on the front of a card like this. It is usually used as a border. But I like It and like how it looks with the embossing. I also used a little washi tape on the front. I don't think I have ever used washi tape on a card. So this card was definitely something different for me.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my card and hope you will come back. Happy day to you!

Super Sized Thank you Wobble Card & Recipe

It's Friday evening. Still daylight and the weather is PERFECT.  I have the windows open enjoying the wonderful breeze.

A few post back I shared with you all a recipe for Smore's Brownies and today I am sharing another recipe with you. Broccoli Cheese Cornbread. It will be at the bottom of this post.

I needed a Thank you card. So I decided on using the cricut for this one.

I even used a Action Wobble on It. I just received a baker's dozen of them today from Mary at http://cardztv.blogspot.com . I had won them on the Blog Hop Girls Hop.

On the close up picture you can tell that I added an Action Wobble. They make your card so fun.

I took an Image on the Gypsy Wanderings Cartridge and flipped it upside down and placed a circle on it and sliced it to make it look like a french fry box. using my Cricut Air.
Was going to use my Expression but I needed to slice and the Expression doesn't do that.

Here Is a list of other products used-

Gypsy Wanderings, A Childs Year Cartridge, Wild Card 2

Cardstock - Yo Yo Yellow, White, Black

Paper Pack- Sweet Summer and Core'dinations

Inks- Close to Cocoa, Soft Sky

Action Wobble

Green and White Twine from the Twinery

This Super Sized Thanks Card was Super fun to make and I loved adding the Action Wobble to It.

I almost forgot to add the recipe. Oops!

Here you go...

Broccoli Cheese Cornbread

2 boxes of Jiffy Cornbread
2 bags of steamable Broccoli

6 Eggs
1 cup Cottage Cheese
1/2 cup Sour Cream
1/4 milk (I don't measure the milk) so It could be a little less
1 stick butter (melted)
1 cup medium sharp Cheddar Shredded Cheese
Little salt, Garlic Powder,Parsley, Onion Powder (I don't measure those).

Preheat Oven 400
Spray 9x13 pan
Drain Broccoli and chop up
Beat Eggs,
Add Ingredients to eggs. I add cottage cheese, sour cream and milk last. Then mix with cornbread.

Bake 40 minutes, I rotate half way through. For the last 15 minutes I add aluminum foil loosely to prevent burning.

I am sharing a picture of the one I made last night.
The funny thing is my grand daughter and I was being silly and I forgot to add the cheese. Didn't realize It until it was done. It was still really good. My grandson says It's the best thing ever.

As you can tell from the picture that mine was super close to burning. So keep an eye on It. May be because I cooked it in my large toaster oven.

I can also tell from the picture that I forgot to add the cheese. I blame It all on my grand daughter Scarlett for distracting me. She even admitted that it was her fault as she laughed about it. Hee! Hee!

So that's It for this post. Hope you all have a great weekend. Please let me know If you make the recipe. Happy day to you all.

Black and White Deer Card

Hello, Hope your having a nice Monday so far. The weather Is  nice today. I wish summer was like this every day. I can't stand the heat and humidity. I do think they are calling for rain for most of the week. Heaviest on Wednesday. Need to try and get some yard work done later.

On my last post I shared a Guitar shaped Father's day card with you.

I have another Father's day card to share with you today.

Now this one came together a lot faster than the guitar card. For this one I used the Nature Silhouettes stamp from Stampin Up. It's a retired stamp.

I also used the Hardwood background stamp from S.U.  I think It may have retired to. I'm not sure though.

The sentiment is from a set of small stamps that I received as a Christmas present several years ago.

I rarely make black and white cards but I think the black and white works well with the deer stamp.

I thank you for stopping by. Hoping you have beautiful week.

Guitar Shaped Father's Day Card & Smore's Brownies

Hello and welcome to my blog. Glad you could stop by. Yesterday we went to my family reunion.  (My Dad's side) It's an all weekend camping event that we have every year. But my husband and I didn't go camping. We just went to the dinner. So nice to see everyone. Well actually there was a lot that didn't show up. Shame on you all. (You know who you are). Ha!

I made Smore's Brownies. They were really good. I will have a recipe for how I made them at the end of this post.

Since we are now In the month of June already. Can you all believe that? I can't. Anyway since It is June we have to start thinking of Father's Day coming up.

A family member had ask me to make a Father's Day Card and that they wanted It to be a guitar. So here Is the final card.

Made the guitar using the Cricut Cartridge Paper Dolls for Everyday.

I stamped with the weathered background stamp from Stampin Up on Kraft card stock to make it look like a woodgrain and sponged around the edges. Used Close to Cocoa Ink.

Used real thin wire for the cords and stamped Happy Father's Day on a tag. Also added brads and some Jute Twine.

I think It's a fun card and like how It turned out.

Now on to the recipe....

 Smore's Brownies

2 boxe's of Dark Chocolate Betty Crocker Brownie Mixes
(Or any kind you like)

Make brownies like the box says In a 9x13 pan. When you take It out of oven start your broiler.

Drizzled some caramel on top. (That Is optional) I did because I had some in the fridge and thought why not.

Put some Graham Crackers in a sandwich bag and crush them with a rolling pen or be like me and use a tall mason Jar.

Sprinkle a thin layer on top of brownies. Then add at least 2 cups of little marshmallows. I used a little more. You want enough to cover the top completely.

Break up some Graham Crackers place on top of marshmallows and then add broken up pieces of little Hershey's candy bars.

Place back in oven that is on the broil setting and watch it until It has browned the marshmallow. Don't walk away from It. They will burn.

That's It, Hope you try them. They are really good and really easy. Everyone that got some said they really liked them. I even got a couple of thumbs up.

Thanks for stopping by and let me know If you make the Smore's Brownies. Have a super day and God bless.
