Merry Christmas !!!!

Hello, It's been awhile since I posted last. I have been pretty sick with Bronchitis and have been busy with getting ready for Christmas.
So the big Day is finally here. It's Christmas!!!!!

Seems like It comes and goes so quickly. Love Christmas, such a wonderful time to get together with family and friends and to remember the birth of that Sweet Baby Boy that was born so long ago in a Manger.  (Happy Birthday Jesus)!

Getting ready to start cooking but I do have something to share with you all.

Here is a picture of the Scarf that I made my Daughter for Christmas. Last year I made her one that was 20 rows. This one is 10 rows and made it in no time. Works up really quick. Perfect for a nice last minute gift.

Here is a link to the pattern if you would like to make one to.

Also If your a follower you may have seen our Ernie the Elf that came to visit us last year. He came back this year. My Grand Kids were so excited to see him again.

Here is a few pictures that I took of Ernie.

He loved our little Charlie Brown Tree

He must have been busy all night. He took a nap all day in the Tissue Box

Ernie is so Creative! Who knew Toilet Paper could be so Cute!

I was so Excited to see that Ernie knows how to Crochet. Couldn't wait to see what he was going to make.

He made him self a Green Scarf. I'm sure It kept him warm last night when Santa picked him up.

This a picture of him with his Scarf but farther away so you can see the message he left Walker and Scarlett  He used Marshmallows.

Ernie took a Selfie of himself. I have a wooden Frame and they are going to decorate it to put his picture In.

As you can see I think Ernie had a good time visiting with us this year. We sure are going to miss him.

Merry Christmas and may you all find Love, Peace, Joy and Prosperity in the new year.   Cindy

Fall Bird Card !!!

Happy Friday, Thanks for stopping by. It's pretty chilly here. But at least we didn't get any snow. Feeling bad for the ones that did. Well unless they love snow.

I have a love/hate relationship with it. I Love to see It come down and love to see the Trees covered.  But that's about as far as the Love goes. I hate being cold and hate to get out in it.

Wish I had a place in Florida I could go to. Yes, I would pack my bags and leave right after Christmas and come back sometime around March. Yeah, That sounds nice.

O.K. Cindy, Snap out of it. Get back to reality and stop thinking about Florida.

So, While I'm sitting here with my cup of Hot Coffee and my Snuggie wrapped around me, I would like to share the card that I made for my Beautiful Mom for her birthday.

A lot of times when I am going to make a Card, I will sketch Idea's on paper. When I come up with an Idea. I make a list of the Items I use. Well, In this case I must have thrown my list away. Because It's no where to be found. That's what I get for cleaning.

But I do know that the Bird Stamp is from Stampin Up called Spring Song. Of course I wanted it to look like fall. So I added some leaves. Can't remember what stamp set that is from and the sentiment stamp is also from S.U. called Best Yet.

I used two different Woodgrain Folders. One from Tim Holtz and the other from Cuttlebug called Forest Branches.

I also used a Cricut Cartridge to cut out the frame around the bird. Not sure which one I used. I used a scallop punch and two circle punches.

To make the end of the banner I just used the corner of a Square Punch.

Sponged the Sky in Bashful Blue and Summer Sun. I think I colored the bird in Bashful Blue, Really Rust and Close to Cocoa and the leaves in more Mustard. I then added Sheer Blue Ribbon and Copper colored cord.

I do Love that Designed Cardstock. I'm thinking it's from Stampin Up.

I do really appreciate you stopping by and would love to visit you. If you leave a comment. Please add our blog address so that I can.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my Card. Happy Day to you.
Cindy

Rippled Waves Of Fall Afghan!

Good Day Fellow Crafters. A Gorgeous morning here in Indiana. Going to start raining later and then I heard that we are going to have a Artic Blast of cold air next week. Not looking forward to that. I'm not a fan of cold weather.

On my last post I shared a Card in a Box I made for my Daughter's 30th Birthday and today I would like to share with you the gift that I made her.

It is a Ripple Afghan in Fall colors. This was my first time doing the ripple stitch and was afraid to start it, thinking there is no way I will be able to do it. Until I seen a video on youtube. After watching it I thought Wow, This is so much easier than I thought.

I have to tell you I really enjoyed making this. But did have a little trouble at first because there was a few things on the video that I wasn't understanding and by reading some of the comments, noticed others were having some problems understanding to.

Like at the beginning and ending of each row. You always have two Double Crochets together at the beginning and at the end.
At the beginning after you make the two D.C. together you then add three more Double Crochets before you start the first decrease.

At the end of each row after you finish the last decrease you will do three Double Crochets and then your two Double Crochets. So that is total of 5 D.C at the beginning and end of each row.

Also a tip to help you, You really have to pay attention to your pattern. I missed a stitch a few times and the way I knew that I had was on your Increases. Your last Increase will always be right on top of the Increase below it.

Here is a list of the names of the yarn that I used.

Coffee
Buff
Burgundy
Carrot
Medium Thyme
Cornmeal

Love all of the colors and thought they went well together for Fall colors. I called my Afghan (Rippled Waves of Fall) because that's exactly what it looked like to me.

Here is a link to the Video that I watched. Hoping what I shared helps you if you have any trouble. If you decide to make one.

http://youtu.be/h6TQOJdTnvQ

Hope you enjoyed seeing the Afghan that I made and If you decide to make one, Please let me know I would Love to see it.
Thanks for stopping by. Cindy

Birthday Card In a Box!!!

 Hello Crafters,

Yesterday my Baby Girl turned 30 years old. It's still hard to believe It. The years have just flew by. She is a Beautiful woman and I Love her so much and I'm very proud of her.

So I thought I would share with you the Card that I made her.

I knew that I wanted to make her a colorful Fun Card. So I thought I would try making one of the Card In a Box Cards.

I think it turned out Cute and she Loved It! She was so surprised and had never seen anything like It.

Just when I was just about done with the Card. I decided to make the Owl. She Loves Owls as much as I do and I do think It made it a lot better.

The Owl is a Punch from Stampin Up and the Owls wings were made using the Stampin Up Oval Punch and Scalloped Oval Punch.

The back of the Card was where I wrote to her. I know you can't tell from the picture. But the Stars were cut from White Glitter Cardstock and everything was sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist, so everything was sparkly and added White Stickles to the Birthday Hat.

 Cricut Cartridges that I used,

Create a Critter 2 - Balloons, Red Pointed Circle, Birthday Hat

Wild Card- Black Curly's

Cricut Classic Font- Happy Birthday and It's Your Day

Child's Year- Stars

I got this Card Idea from youtube. But not sure which one it was from. I do know the Card base to make the Box was 5-1/2 x 9.
So if you would like to try making one. You can go to youtube and there are several tutorials on there.
The only thing I changed was the stripes inside the box. Every video that I watched had two, I made three. Just so I could add more things.

Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you enjoyed seeing my Card in a Box.  Happy Day to you all.

Two little Spooky Houses!

Happy Halloween! So glad you stopped by. Our town is having Trick or Treating tomorrow Night. So I have an extra day to get things ready for Trick or Treater's to come.

My Daughter is going to be making me a big batch of Chocolate No Bake Cookies to give out. Thought that was so sweet of her to offer. They are my favorite cookies, so I hope she makes a few extra.

I Love Halloween and my Grand Children do to and I try to do something a little crafty with them before Halloween. So this year I bought them little wooden Haunted Houses for them to decorate.

I ask them if they wanted to add Halloween paper but they both said no, they just wanted to paint them. So I thought I would take a picture of their little masterpieces and share them with you all.

They are Soooo Spooky Cute!!! Hee! Hee!

I also thought I would share a few pictures of my Grand Children carving their Pumpkins.

Love how their Pumpkins turned out and really like the last picture that was taken at night. Like how you can see the black cat window clings behind them.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have Fun and Safe Halloween and hope you don't get Spooked.:0)

Happy Halloween!!!!!!!!

--I must say I LOVE Halloween and If you are hopping along with us, I'm sure you Love It just as much as I do.

I have made a couple of Cards today to share with you. They are for my Grand Children.

Since my Grand Children are little I always make them Cutesy Halloween Cards. But they said that they wanted their Cards a little more Spooky this year. So I thought these might do.

Here is the first Card that I made for my Grandson Walker.--

Here is the Card I made for my Grand Daughter Scarlett.

Both Cards were made using The Happy Hauntings Cricut Cartridge.

On the Dracula Card I used Spider Webbing over the Moon and you can't tell from the photo but the Cape is done in red glitter Cardstock and I used a stylus to add waves in his hair and painted Crystal Effects over the hair as well. I didn't add a sentiment to the front but I may still add one. Not sure yet.

On Frankenstein's Wife I also added waves to her hair and sprayed Glimmer Mist on her hair and the Purple Cardstock so It would be glittery. Heat Embossed the White Spider Webs and used Heat and Stick on the Skulls and added White Glitter and heat set It.

Both Cards were really Fun to make and I hope you enjoyed them.

Up next is the lovely and talented Lisa

Disney Autograph Books!

Good Morning and Thanks for stopping by. I got back from Vacation Friday Night and was Exhausted. We had a wonderful time at Disney World. Well maybe not the day we had Thunderstorms. But we all bought rain Ponchos and still had fun.

I must say the food at Disney is Great. I'm sure we all gained a few pounds. But it was worth It. Two of the nights that we were there we went by boat to have Supper. The kids loved It and one night while going back we were the only one's on this huge boat. So he stopped and we watched the Fireworks from the boat. It was really fun.
It was so fun sharing all of those fun moments with my Grand Children. They were so Excited to see all of the Characters and they Loved the Autograph Books that I made for them.

Here is the Autograph Books that I made for them to take.

Walkers Book was made from The Gypsy Wondering and The Mickey and Friends Cartridge. I made the eye patch by hand.

Scarlett's Book was made using the Once Upon a Princess Cartridge. Added lots of ribbons to It.

They really had a fun time getting Autographs and there was several they didn't get. Hopefully they will go again and get the rest of them. But I'm glad I took the time to make them and I think they turned out Cute.

After our five day stay at Disney we went to Cocoa Beach. My Grand Children and I had never seen the Ocean in real life before. My Daughter had several years before. So this was pretty Exciting for us.

We stayed at the Best Western right by the Beach and It was pretty nice. We got there at night so It was pretty exciting the next morning when we opened the curtains and seen the Ocean.

Here are a some Pictures of our trip.

I had better stop there, Because I could post pictures rest of the day. But as you can see It was a Fun time. If you have never been I suggest going.

Before I go, I want to Invite you all to a Halloween Blog Hop that I'm going to be In. It's October 18th and the 19th. Hope you all can make It.

Again Thanks for stopping by and hope you all enjoyed the Pictures. Happy Day to you!!!   Cindy

Would like to the Linky Party over at Craftin Desert Divas

Vacation,Petite Miss and Crochet

Hi Bloggy Friends, So nice of you to stop by. Wanted to get this post in because I am going on Vacation in a few days.
I am going to Florida with my Daughter and Grand Children to Walt Disney World. My Grand Children are so Excited. We have never been to Walt Disney World. We will be staying for a week and then going to Coco Beach. Which I am SOOOO Excited. This will be our first time seeing the Ocean. Whoooo Hoooo!
Just not looking forward to long drive and not to Excited about all of the walking either. But I'm taking my Go walk Shoes.  So I'll let you know if they are good for that much walking.

So before I take off I want to share with you what I made my Grandkids to take to Florida.
It's a pouch that I Crocheted to hang behind the front seat to hang below one of the DVD Players to hold their movies.

This was my first time making anything like It. So it turned out o.k.  I did make the strap a little to long. Going to shorten It a little. Made it in Grey and a strip of yellow. Thought it would look good with the Interior of my Daughters car. Unfortunately the picture doesn't show the colors very good.

I also wanted to share that my Grand Daughter Scarlett was in the Fall Festival Pageant here in our hometown and she won Petite Miss. She was so Excited. There was 16 girls in her group. We were all Excited. She did such a wonderful Job. So Proud of her.

Here is a few pictures of her in the Pageant.

As you can tell she was pretty Shocked and Excited. Sorry about the picture of her in the crown. Her hand moved and made it look all blurry. Sometimes I can get so mad at my Camera.

Well It is time for me to go. The Grand Kids are spending the night and they are wanting something to eat. So I had better go. But I want to Thank you again for stopping by.
