Pocket Silhouette Card

Hello, Happy day to you all, Thanks for stopping by. I needed a thank you card so decided that I wanted to use an older stamp, so finally decided on a set called Pocket Silhouettes from Stampin Up.

Wanted to keep this card simple so I just stamped the image in three different colors. Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Concord Crush.

The colored carsdstock is Pumpkin Pie and used a scalloped border from Pretty Pink Posh on the bottom.

The thank you sentiment is from a retired Stampin Up set called  Short and Sweet. To finish the card I added some jute twine.

Also thought I would share a recipe with you. This one is for Oatmeal Raisin Drop Cookies.

Oatmeal Raisin Drop Cookies

Ingredients needed

2 1/2 c. quick oats

1 cup (2 sticks) butter -room temperature

1 1/2 c. flour

1 c. brown sugar - packed

1/2 c. sugar

2 eggs

2 tsp. vanilla

1-1/2 c. raisins- Add another half cup if you like more

1 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350. In a bowl combine oats, flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Set aside

In large bowl combine softened butter, vanilla, eggs and mix then add brown sugar, white sugar. Mix well, then slowly add dry ingredients. Lastly add raisins and mix.

Drop onto a parchment lined cookie sheet, about an inch and a half apart and bake in a preheat oven for 10 minutes.

Let them cool for a few minutes

Now it's time to grab one and enjoy it with a cup of coffee or a glass of milk.

That's going to be all from me today. Hope you enjoyed your visit. Let me know if you try the cookies.

Stay safe and God bless!

Tone on Tone Butterfly Card

Good morning, Glad you could stop by. I was looking at challenges to play along with and found a few. One challenge that I spotted was to create a tone on tone card. Besides a white on white card, I'm not sure if I had ever created one, So I thought I would take on the challenge.

Thought I would make this one a sympathy card. It's always good to have a few made up before you need them.

Not sure why I chose greens but that's the papers I grabbed. The butterfly was given to me by a friend several years ago. It doesn't have a name on the case. I think it's Stampin Up since she was a demonstrator and the sentiment is from an altenew set.

The background die is from Taylored Expressions called Kaleidoscope. This is my first time using it. I like the die but not sure if it was the right choice for this card.

I used a flower that I have had for a long time. Made by Petaloo. I do love using things that I have had for awhile.

Used Old Olive Ink on the butterfly and for the sentiment.

Green card stock is Old Olive and the yellow/green card stock is from Michaels. The green paper is from my stash. I colored a clear gem with a green alcohol marker. Also used a stitched oval.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a great weekend. I'm going to be spending a few days with my Mom.

Happy Hex Card

Hello Crafter's, Glad you could stop by. We are having a lot of rain here in Indiana. Probably from hurricane Elsa. Hope you all had a nice 4th of July. I have been cleaning and organizing my craftroom. Starting to look better.

Thought I would share a card with you that I made.

For this card I used Stamps and dies from Taylored Expressions. First time using these products. For the black background I used the Mini Slim Background called Happy Hex. I used the coordinating die set to make small hexagons in multiple colors. For the center I stamped a hexagon and stamped Thank You with another set from Taylored Expressions called Hex Add-Ons.

Really like how this turned out and it was a fun one to put together. Already have some more idea's of some other ways that I can use these stamps and dies.

Here is a link if you would like to

check out their products.

July Birthday card

Hello, It's the 4th of July. Do any of you have plans for today? We will be staying home this year. Hoping the neighbors have some fireworks to let off. They have let some off for the past few nights, so they will probably be doing more.

I have two nieces that were born on July 4th. I usually make their birthday cards with the colors red, white and blue. So this year is no different. Sharing a picture of one of the cards. They are both alike.

This card was made using a napkin and I love the pretty image. I love how easy napkin cards are to make.  I'm sure they will love them.

Hope you all have a safe and happy 4th and hope you can make it back.

 GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.
