Seashell Card & Fried Green Tomatoes

Hello, and welcome! Hope your having a great Thursday! The weather is hot here in Indiana. Supposed to get extremely hot the next few days!

As some of you know, I recently went on vacation to Sanibel Island, Florida. I had a wonderful time with my sister, Christy, and our friend Kim!

I made Kim a card, and knew that I had to put some shells on it, because Sanibel is a wonderful place to find shells, and we found a lot!

Took the picture with my phone, so not the best picture. But, I was impatient, and didn't want to get up to get the camera, so this will have to do.

Here Is a list of products I used to make it:

I have been sharing some of the recipes that I make, and thought I would add a recipe for fried green tomatoes.

Fried Green Tomatoes:

First thing is get some green tomatoes, and heat up your skillet. I add oil and a little butter.

         Slice

You will need three separate bowls.
In the first one, add flour, with salt and pepper. Eggs with a little buttermilk in the second one, and Cornmeal in the last one.

Coat tomatoes with flour, eggs, and then cornmeal.

Fry on both sides.

Place on paper towel, and then serve.

Then, Enjoy!!!

These are perfect for a summer meal, and hopefully someone that has never made them will give it a try. They are so simple to make! Please let me know if you try them!!

That's all for me today, thanks so much for stopping by, and hope you have a great weekend!

God bless, Cindy!

Thanks so much Card & Bread Sticks

Hello Crafter's! Hoping your having a good day! Through the years of having my craft blog, I have got to know so many wonderful crafter's! I love being a part of the paper craft community!

Today, I would like to share with you a card that I have made for a special paper crafter, that I have followed for what seems like forever. She Is so sweet, and is such a wonderful and giving person!

So here is the card I made for her.:

She is such an inspiration, and she encourages me to create things with my Circuit!
Thank so much Mary, for all you do!

Made the flower using the "Cindy Loo" Cartridge, but, I can't seem to remember which cartridge I used for the scalloped rectangle layer! I have totally lost my paper I wrote everything down on! Ugh!!

I do remember I got the gingham paper from a paper pack called  "Sweet Summer".
The sentiment is from Mary's stamps called "Ticket Talk 2" from Cardz TV.

If you have visited my blog lately, you will notice that I have been posting some recipes that I like to make.
Today, I would like to share a super easy recipe for bread sticks.

Easy Bread Sticks:

This is made using a premade pizza dough. I buy mine from Walmart. Only $1.00 a bag and a lot of the time I get on mark down!

1. Place dough in bowl, and cover with a towel. Let sit for an hour.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Place dough on floured counter. I use a big rectangle glass cutting plate.

Roll dough out using a floured rolling pin.

Take 3/4 of a stick of butter, and melt in microwave.

Add seasonings, Garlic Powder, Parsley, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan. (I do not measure these)

Place the rest of the butter on your baking pan and place in oven just for a little while to melt butter.

Now place dough on pan. and add seasoned butter. Let sit for about 10 minutes on warm oven.

(sorry for blurry picture)

Place in preheated oven, and let bake for around 20 minutes. Ovens do vary so keep an eye on them.

Cut bread sticks with a pizza cutter.

and, Enjoy!!!

My husband and grandkids love when I make these. I serve these with a pizza sauce and a cheese sauce.

If you decide to try these, I would love to know how you liked them.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by. Happy Day to you all, and God Bless!

Wanted to share the recipe of the pie I made last night. Will be taking it to a 4th of July cookout today.

Sorry the picture Is so dark.

Busy Day Lemon Cheesecake (1959)

1 8 oz. Cream Cheese
2 C. Whole Milk
1 small box Lemon Pudding
8" Graham Cracker Crust

Soften Cream Cheese
With an electric mixer slowly add half a cup of milk.
Add remaining milk and pudding mix.

Beat slowly w/ mixer just until well blended (Do not over beat)

Pour at once into crust.

While making topping I place in fridge to firm up. I let it sit for 30 minutes before adding topping.

Topping

1/2 of a 16 oz. container of Sour Cream
1 TBS Sugar ( I added just a little more)
1/4 tsp Vanilla (or just a little more like i do)

( The original recipe calls for a whole container of sour cream. I think that is way to much so I only use half.)

Add topping to pie and let sit at least for two hours.I keep in fridge overnight.
You can add crumbled Graham crackers on top (optional) or some cool whip.

Also I have a Spinach Cheese Egg Bake recipe I shared a few post back if you want to check it out. It has step by step pictures.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a fun day celebrating.

God bless the U.S.A

Have a Blast Bag

We are now in the month of July. A time for pools, picnics, cookouts, Fireworks, lightning bugs, pretty flowers and so many more wonderful things during summer. Although I am more of a fall girl myself. (I really do hate bugs and sweating).

I was on Cricut Design Space (Still kind of new to the whole thing). I still love my Cricut Expression and also my Gypsy.

But I was browsing on there and spotted a little bag and thought I would give it a try.

So this was the perfect time to make a little something Red,White and Blue.

Thought about making the bag w
hite but decided on the kraft. I think it looks good to. The bag was made using the cartridge Creative bug. I guess that's the name. It's the only thing it said. (Told you that I'm still getting the hang of Design Space.)

Stamp Sets used-
Whimsy Stamps- Christmas Scene Builder
Cardz T.V.- "Simply Said"

Cardstock-
Kraft, Whisper White, Yo Yo Yellow

Tag Die

Inks- Pacific Point, Ruby Red and Barely Banana

I do like the little bag and plan on making some larger ones. Thanks for stopping by. I will be posting again on the 4th. Hope you can stop back by. Happy Day to you!

( Also on my last post I shared a recipe for Spinach Cheese Egg Bake If you would like to check It out.)  with step by step pictures

Floral Birthday Card and Spinach Cheese Egg Bake

Hello and welcome to my blog. I just got back yesterday from vacation. I spent a week on Sanibel Island in Florida. We stayed at the Island Beach Club. Oh It was so nice. I didn't want to leave. Went there with my sister Christy and a friend of ours Kim.

Right before I went on vacation I made a card and wanted to share it with you today.

Made this card for one of my sister's birthday.  I just love using those colors this time of year. Well this one does have the added green.

Took a while to decide on how to create the card. I had seen a card on pinterest similar with the same colors, so I went with It. I like how It turned out.

This was my first time using Pacific Point Cardstock. Nice blue color.  I sponged Bashful Blue Ink over the embossed cardstock. I like the light inking over the embossing.Really like how this card turned out.

While on vacation I made a Spinach Cheese Egg Bake and wanted to share the recipe with you.

Here Is the Recipe-

Spinach Cheese Egg Bake
(for 9x13 pan)
Preheat oven to 375
8-9 large Eggs
5 cups Spinach
1- 1/2 C. Shredded Cheese
2 tsp Olive Oil
Spices- Garlic Salt, parsley,Salt and Pepper (I don't measure these)

Heat olive oil in skillet. Add spinach and cook until Spinach wilts.
Rub olive oil in baking dish and add spinach. Add cheese to top of spinach.

In bowl beat eggs with seasonings, pour over spinach.Lightly mix with fork.

Bake at 375 for 40 minutes. Mixture should be set and lightly brown.

Sour cream is nice with it. (Optional) and you can add other things as well. Onion, tomatoes, mushrooms. I don't really like onions but I have added a little dried onion flakes before.

Have added some step by step pictures to help you, I forgot to get a picture of the spinach cooking in the skillet.

I added 5 more minutes so went 40 minutes total

This Is perfect for breakfast or anytime. We had this later in the day. They seemed to really like It. My husband really likes it as well.

While baking this, I had a wonderful view out the kitchen window.

Here Is a few more pictures of where we stayed

This Is where I would sit with a cup of coffee. I even seen dolphins a few times.

We all needed a vacation and didn't want to leave. Sanibel Island Is a fun place to find shells. We usually was out first thing in the morning looking for some. Here Is a few pictures of some I found.

At night you can only go on the beach If you have a flashlight with a red light because the sea turtles lay their eggs.
The day we left we found out some of them hatched. We were upset that we missed It.

Sorry this was an extra long post. But hope you enjoyed stopping by. Hope you all have a wonderful week and please stop back by.

Thanks for stopping by, Happy Day to you all!
