Christmas Stars!

Does anyone else think Christmas comes and goes to quickly? It's always a little sad for me when It's over. I'm not a fan of cold weather, but I do Love Christmas.
I have cried several times this Christmas with It being my first year without my brother. It's also my first year without my Grandma Sophie. But so happy for them that they got to spend Christmas with Jesus and our family and friends that went home before them.

I didn't make any Christmas paper crafts this year. But I did get a few things made.
I did make some Crocheted Stars for my family. Made some In White and some In a light brown. I can't remember the name of It.  I like the rustic homemade look of these with the twine I added to hang them with.

These are Super easy to make. They are actually a flower shape. You get the star shape by sponging 3 parts Modge Podge to 1 part water. (Well that's how I did It). Squeeze out excess glue from star and pin It until dry. I added white glitter to the white ones. I let dry for 24 hours.

Here Is the link to the Crocheted Stars-   Crochet-Star-Ornaments

Also wanted to show you something I gave to my daughter for an extra little gift.

I cut the top out of a mach box and put it in the lid of a cute little Jar that I got from Hobby Lobby and put the matches In It.
Isn't this a cute way of keeping your matches. My Daughter thought It was Great! Planning on making some more of these.

I guess this Is the end of my post. Thanks for stopping by. I'm wishing you all the best for the new year. God Bless!

A Day to Remember

Hello Crafty friends, I wanted to share a Card with you all that I made my Mom for her Birthday.

But before I do I would like to tell you the about where I got the Inspiration for the Card.

As some of you all know I lost my brother a few months ago. It Is still very hard for me to deal with.

After he passed away my siblings and I only had ten days to get everything out of his apartment. It was a big job,but some how we got It done.

He had a lot of antiques, so we had an Antique dealer come In. He was a good friend of my brothers. He bought a truck load of stuff. Was very thankful he bought so much. Because we didn't have long to get everything out.
But there was still several things that we thought might make more money If we sold them rather than having the dealer buy them. Any money that we were making was going to use for funeral expenses,  bills and for a tombstone.

So we packed it all up in totes and a lot of it my sister and I brought to my house. While we were starting to take totes out of her car, a Black and purple Butterfly kept going from the trunk, to inside the car and to my porch sitting on the totes. It kept doing it over and over. We felt as though It was our brother letting us know he was o.k.

So later that night I was talking to my Mom on the phone and was telling her about the butterfly. She loved hearing the story.

So the next day she called me and told me that she had went out side and a Black and Purple Butterfly wouldn't leave her alone. So we think It was him visiting her to.

So I wanted my Mom's Birthday Card to remind her of that special day and I also wanted it to be more than just a card. So I decided to make an Easel Card.

I added a piece of light purple vellum so that she can see the butterfly even in the dark.

A lot of Love went Into making this card for my Mom. I wanted It to be extra special for her. I even made the card in my brothers favorite colors Orange and Purple.

Pumpkin Card

Hello Crafter's, I am trying to come to grips with It already being November and It seems like this month is flying by.

This Month Is not starting off very good.  Our 18 year old cat is getting close to the end of her life and It Is so upsetting. She has been such a good cat. My daughter found her sitting in the snow all alone when she was about 8 weeks old. There was no houses around.  So she couldn't just leave her there.
Never had to worry about getting a mouse in the house. She would find it before I even knew it was in the house. Also our furnace stopped working the other day. So will just have to wait and see what else will happen this month.

So on a happier note, I wanted to share a card that I made for my Daughter.

She Loves Fall and Loves Blues and Browns, so I wanted to make her card a card that I knew she would like.

When I was trying to figure out what kind of card to make her, I seen a video by May May made It. I Love watching her video's and she also has a facebook group called  May May Made It and so did I.   .

She made a pumpkin card from using a coloring page and cutting it into pieces.

For the Cardbase I used Chocolate Chip Card Stock
Very Vanilla for the Stem and embossed it with a woodgrain Embossing folder.
Cut the leaves from Gold Cardstock and scrunched them

Papers-  6x6 Paper Stack by Reflections
6x6 Paper Stack (Vintage Finds) Teresa Collins

Sponged around Pumpkin and paper pieces with Close to Cocoa Ink and added a sheer light yellow bow. I didn't add a sentiment to the front because my Daughter prefers It that way. So she can sit it up as a fall decoration.

Here Is a link to May Mays Blog
http://www.maymaymadeit.com/

Pumpkin Template- http://goo.gl/GgHvwn

You can find the video how to make the card on youtube. Just put in Pumpkin Card Tutorial and it will come up under Maymay made it

Let me know If you make one, I would like to see It.

Thank for stopping by. Wishing you a beautiful Fall day!

Halloween Treat Box's and bottles

Today Is Halloween and the scariest thing so far about today Is that I'm getting ready to go to work. Looking forward to seeing my Grand Children dressed up later this evening and seeing the other Trick or Treaters.

I usually make my Grand Children Cards for Halloween but decided on making them some Halloween Boxes this year to put their treats in.

The boxes were made using the Tags Bags Boxes and more Cartridge. Both stamped with Spider Webs.

The Mouse was cut from the  Happy Haunting's Cartridge

The Cat Stamp, I have had for a long time, can't remember who makes It. ( My Grand Daughter specifically wanted me to make her something with that Cat Stamp.)

Both the Cat and Spider was embossed in black embossing powder. But they didn't emboss real well. I think I need some new and better powder. This Is just some cheap brand that I've had for years.

The green strip above the cat is from Martha Stewart. Can't remember what It's called.

I also thought I would show you a few of the water bottles that I fixed for Trick or Treaters.

These were fun to make, My Grand daughter  Scarlett stamped all the little bats and sculls and punched them out and put them on top of all the bottles. She really had a good time doing them.
We only made 16 of them. I have never had more Trick or Treaters than that. They will also be getting a baggie of goodies and a coupon for a free frosty from Wendy's.

Thanks for stopping by and  Happy Halloween to you all.

A Sword for Walker

Hello Crafter's, Thank you for stopping by. Not sure If you seen my last post but I had shared a card that I made my brother. My brother passed away recently.

Not long before he passed away he had promised to give my Grandson a big sword that he had. He said that It was somewhere In the back of his closet.

After he passed away I took the sword and wrapped it up for my Grandson and gave It to him for his birthday.

He Loved It and knew as soon as he seen it that It was from his Uncle Steve. When making his card I wanted to make him something special to always remind him of his 11th birthday.

So of course I had to make him a sword card. Even though It's a very simple card he really liked It. So I would like to share It with you.

It was a very special time for my Grandson Walker and for myself, and I could feel my brother smiling. Thanks for taking the time to stop by.

But I did want to share his card. He Loved the ship. So glad that he got to enjoy his birthday. We had a fun time that day.

Here Is his Card...

Camoflauge Owl Card

Yeah, I'm finally getting a chance to post again. Just seems that I've been to busy, to tired or to sick to get one In. So I'm taking some time to get this posted.

I think my last post was in June. Yikes!

This summer has been so hot, I have been miserable. Seems like that's what everyone around here Is talking about. I can not wait for Fall.
I do want to say that my thoughts and prayers are with the people of Louisiana. There are so many effected by the flooding.

This past Saturday we had a College Graduation/ Going away party for my niece Amber and wanted to share the card that I made for her.

Amber Is joining the Air Force. So I wanted my Card to be part Graduation and part about the Military and I know that she loves owls like me.

I used the Stampin Up Owl Punch to make this little Owl Soldier in her Camouflage.
Other things I used to make this card

Flag- Independence Day Cricut Cartridge
Graduation Hat- Locker Talk Cricut Cartridge
Congrats-Create a Critter 2 Cricut Cartidge
2016- A Childs Year Cricut Cartridge
Stars Embossing Folder
Scallop PunchSquare Punch to make Banners
Dragon Fly Punch- to make sides of glasses.

Amber Loved the Card, We are so proud of her. I won't lie when I say I'm a little worried about her. Takes a lot to join the Military. She will be learning to fly fighter jets.

But she's a smart girl and I know God will be by her side In everything that she does. (Would Love for you all to say a prayer for her).

Thought I might add this picture from her party, showing the Congrats Amber letters and few stars that I cut out. Her party turned out so nice.

Thanks so much for stopping by, Happy Day to you all!!!

Wild about Flowers!

Hey Crafter's, glad you could stop by. It's hot outside and I seriously don't like hot weather. Not even a little bit. (Well maybe a little when I'm In the pool). O.k and I do enjoy cold Ice cream when It's hot.

So what Is a crafter to do when It's hot out and you have the day off from work??? Ahh, play In your craft room of course.

Well actually I am cleaning my craft room. (What a mess)! Seriously a lot of the problem would be solved If I had a larger craft room.

I am so bad about making a card and then just shuffling everything to the side and start making something else. I have got to start cleaning up before I start another project.

I would like to share with you all the card that I made for one of my Sisters.

My Sister's favorite color is Purple, so Is mine. So I decided to do her card in the new Stampin Up Ink color Blackberry Bliss. It's pretty dark, so for the flowers I stamped on a separate piece of cardstock and then Stamped the Image to get a lighter color. For the stems I used Old Olive. I also used one of my newest stamp sets called Wild About Flowers from Stampin Up. I had wanted this set for awhile. So glad to get It.

Other supplies used-
Close to My Heart Stamp Set called- Family Is Forever
Tim Holtz Brick Wall Embossing Folder
Scallop Border Punch
Sequins

That's It for today. Hope you enjoyed seeing the card I made. Hope you all are staying cool. Hope you all have a great week!!!

Graduation Decorations!

This past Saturday my niece McKinley  graduated High School. Makes me a little sad to know she Is all grown up. Seems like only yesterday she would run in my arms and tell me that I was her
favorite Aunt.

She Is  a special girl, so good and kind to everyone she meets. A great roll model to all girls. She Is the Drum Major of our hometown Band. Most everyone thinks she has been the best one we have ever had.  I agree!

If you seen my last post, I was In a Graduation Blog Hop and I had make a card for her.
Now I would like to share a few things I did for her party.

First thing that I made, was a Graduate Hat Box for people to place her cards in.

You can not tell but the letters were cut in yellow glitter cardstock and was cut from the Cricut Classic Font cartridge.

Painted several coats of purple acrylic paint on the hat box and foam board. Hot glued together and cut out slot. I think It came out pretty good and got lots of compliments on it at the party.

I also cut out some 2016 in purple glitter paper and some hats in black glitter paper to put in the center pieces for the tables. Cut out from the Child's Year Cartridge.

I think It added a lot to the centerpieces. Unfortunately In the picture It looks more blue than purple.

Congratulations McKinley!!! So proud of you!

Also today Is Memorial Day, the day Americans honor our fallen Soldiers.

So If you see a Veteran or a soldier in active duty, please remember to Thank them for their service.

Hope you have a nice long weekend and thanks again for stopping by.

Card for Ella

Hello, It's Easter morning. What a Beautiful day. Getting ready to leave for church to celebrate our saviors resurrection.

Going to be having an Easter Dinner later on today at my daughters.

Before I head out to church, thought I would share a card that my little Grand Daughter and I made for a little girl named Ella Grace, They recently found out that she has Cancer.
We don't know Ella. All we know Is that she is 8 years old and that she will be in treatment for 2 years and also that she would love some cards.

So of course we had to make one for her. My Grand Daughter Scarlett choose the papers and most every thing on the card and I mostly put it together. We make a great crafty team.

So here is the card that we made her.

We hope that she likes It and that it makes her smile. Please say a prayer for Ella. Thank You for stopping by and I hope that you have a blessed Easter.

Would Love for you to stop by again.

 Happy Easter

Choo-Choo! Baby's on the Way!

Hi, Glad you could stop by. I can't get over that It's already March, February usually seems to drag on forever to me. But It seemed to fly by this time. The weather right now seems like a yo-yo.
One day rain, next day freezing and snow and the next in the 70s.
But glad that soon the cold weather will be gone.

I am going to be a Great - Great Aunt for the first time. Yeah, That does make me feel kind of old. But super Excited and so excited for my sister Tonda, She Is going to be a Great Grandma. What a blessing.

So today I want to share with you a Baby Card that I made for the new addition to the family.

Had to use my phone to take the picture so didn't get a real good picture of It. This card was easy to make. But when I first started making It, I made the Train in red, I hated It!

My little Great-Great Nephew's name will be Bo. I have always liked that name and think It's cute for a Girl or a Boy.

This Isn't a normal folded Card, It's like and envelop that has a slit in the back to close It.

You can find this on the Paisley Cartridge under Cards/envelopes.
The Train is from Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridge
BO - Cricut Craft Room Basics
Tag- Sweet Treats Cartridge
The little puffs of smoke are actually little clouds. But I can't remember what Cartridge I got them from. (Shame on Me)!

The Baby Stamp is from a Cardz TV Stamp Set called (A Day at the Beach) and I embossed It with White Embossing Powder.

I popped the train up with Stampin Dimensionals and also popped up a section of the train and embossed it with the dots Embossing folder.

That's It for my Card, Thanks for stopping by and have a Happy- Crafty Day.

The Sky's the Limit !!!

Hello, Glad you could stop by. I just had to share with you my excitement.

I had entered a Giveaway hosted by Shelley, Her blog is Shelley Bean. She had a giveaway celebrating her Birthday.

I thought how sweet of her to have a giveaway for her Birthday.

She was giving away the Stampin Up Stamp Set called The Sky's the limit and with It she was also including a finished card and Card Kits to make three other cards.

Only a few days before entering the giveaway, I had been talking to my sister. She was telling me how she had gotten this Stamp Set and I told her that I had really wanted to get It and that I was kind of jealous of her.

I had put on hold making any crafty purchases for the last several months because I was having health Issues and was waiting to see If I had colon cancer. I recently got the results back that It wasn't cancer. Praise God!!! I still have some problems and may have to have surgery but at least it's not cancer.

Anyway, I won her Birthday Giveaway and I was so shocked and for me to think that It was to late to get the stamp set because you could only get It for a limited time and then to end up winning It.  Well I got a little emotional.

I received It In the mail today and not only did she send the Stamp Set, Card and Kits to make three other cards. She also sent four envelopes and some of the designer series paper.

How Sweet and kind of her. I just Love It and can't wait to play
with It.

I really enjoy Shelley's Blog. Love seeing her creations. If you would like to check out her blog here is a link.

Again, Glad you could stop by. Have a Happy Crafty Day!

But I did help my little Grand Daughter make her Valentine Box for School. So thought I would share It with you all.
