Winter Sympathy Card

Hello, Hope you all are doing well. Today I wanted to share with you a Sympathy card I made.

Just writing this post brings tears to my eyes. My husbands cousin passed away recently from Covid, She was only 57. This card is for her sister.

I was so sad while making this card. Her passing was a shock to us all. Her husband also passed. It's just heartbreaking.

I really need to make Sympathy cards ahead because this one was a hard one to make.

I think that's going to be all from me today.  Blessings to you all, Stay Safe my friends.

What I Love Birthday Card

Hello, Glad you stopped by. Hope you all are doing well. It's a cold morning here in Indiana. Enjoying a cup of hot coffee. We have around 7 inches of snow. Thankful we didn't get the amount of snow that they were calling for. Grand kids have been out of school all this week. They are doing e-learning.

This snow storm has effected so many parts of the U.S. Continuing prayers for the people in Texas that are still without heat and electricity and also North Carolina that was hit with a Tornado.

For my post today I wanted to share a birthday card that I made. So I decided on using my newest stamp set. It's a set from Stampin Up called What I Love.

This stamp set is no longer available. I purchased it on e-bay and got it for a great price.

For the flowers I used Pink Pirouette and Ruby Red and used So Saffron for the centers. I didn't use the leaf stamp that came with the set. I decided to use a die that I had. I think I used Certainly Celery cardstock for the leaves.

I thought the embossing folder would be perfect for this card. Don't remember the name of it.

I had wanted to get this stamp set when it came out but didn't.  So glad  I found it at such a great deal.

Roses for Mom Card

Hello Crafter's. Hope your doing well. It will soon be Valentines Day. I will be leaving today to spend a few days with my Mom.

She doesn't like to be left alone on Valentines Day. So before I leave I wanted to share with you the card that I made her.

I used a stamp set is from Studio Light. I stamped the roses in Pink Pirouette and Ruby Red. My Mom's favorite color is teal. She has teal in every room of her house, So instead of green leaves I decided on making them teal.

I cut the oval die in gold. I wanted to make the black layer gold also but didn't have enough gold left to do it. That was disappointing.

The leaf embossing folder is from a cut and emboss set from Momenta. Sentiment is from Close to my Heart called  Beloved Bouquet. Added a little rhinestone next to the sentiment and also added a few little pieces of gold cardstock that had come off of the oval die when I cut it out.

I'm happy with how it turned out and I know my Mom will love it.

I recently had a birthday and thought I would share a picture of the card my sister Tonda made for me.

I thought It was so cute. Years ago I gave her little grand daughter a little Ty beanie baby Hippo. They named it Cinny. My great-niece Livi is a senior this year and still has Cinny the Hippo. My Sister said she thought that this little hippo card was perfect for me and purple and green are two of my favorite colors.

So that's all I have for today. Hope you all can make it back. Stay Safe and Stay Crafty.

Wishing you all a Happy Valentines Day!!!

Valentine Treat Boxes

Today Is Monday, this coming Sunday will be Valentines Day. I thought I would make a few treat boxes to put some candy and money in to give to my Grandkids.

I recently bought a retired Stampin Up stamp set on ebay and the seller also sent me that cute little Valentine kitty stamp. I thought it would be cute on my grand daughters box. Colored it with some alcohol markers. The Happy Valentines Day stamp is from CC Designs.

Thought they turned out pretty cute and they were really easy to put together.

This is a quick post from me. Have a lot to do today. I will be sharing a Valentine card with you in a few days.  Hope you can come back.

Have a great day my friends. Stay Safe and Stay Crafty!

Scarlett's Birthday Card & Chocolate/Peanutbutter Bar Recipe

Today Is my Grand daughter's birthday. So I wanted to share with you the card that I made her.

I wanted her card to be about things that she loves.

First she loves Converse tennis shoes. She has a few pairs and wants more and she loves the fact that I also had a pair around her age.

She also loves records. We got her a record player Christmas before last. We gave her some of our old records we had as teenagers. I also gave her some old records that belonged to my Dad.

She also loves red roses so I had to add some to her card. For Christmas I got her a pair of black sweats with a rose on it and she loved them.

I had fun putting this card together and looking forward to giving it to her a little later today.

One of Scarlett's favorite desserts is Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars. She loves them. She also buys them at school for lunch when they have them. So I thought I would share the recipe with you all.

Lunch Room Peanut Butter/ Chocolate Bars

Ingredients for bottom layer-

2 sticks melted butter

1 C. creamy peanut butter

2 C. graham cracker crumbs

2 C. powdered sugar

Mix all Ingredients together in large bowl. Pour in a sprayed 9x13 pan and spread evenly.

Topping Ingredients -

1 1/2 C. milk chocolate chips

1/4th creamy peanut butter

Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter in microwave safe bowl until creamy. Pour over peanut butter layer and spread evenly.

Place in refrigerator for at least two hours.  This recipe is so easy to make and it is pretty good.

That's my post for today. Hope you enjoyed stopping by. I will be sharing some more projects soon. Hope you can make it back. Stay Safe friends.

The Open Sea Card

Hello, So glad you could make it to my blog. The weather is a little chilly today. But the sun is finally shinning.  January seems to be moving fast. Have several projects that I need to be working on.

For my project share today I made a card for my Son's birthday.

I used a stamp set from Stampin Up called The Open Sea. This Is only the second time that I have used this set.

The first time I used it, I had made a birthday card for my brother just about a month before he passed away. So I now have the card I made him sitting up in my craftroom. So I was a little emotional while making this one.

The background stamp is from Stampin Up called World Map

Cardstock colors that I used are Not Quit Navy, Ruby Red and White

Inks- Not Quit Navy and Ruby Red and White

I used a distress tool to rough up the edges of some of the paper. Also used stitched circle dies and a tiny stitched banner die. Wrapped some twine around the banner.

That's all today. Hope you all can come back. Stay safe and stay crafty!

Jars of Love Card and birds

This is my first post of 2021. Hope you all had a nice New Years Eve. My husband and I spent the night at home.

Planned on making a big pot of potato soup, that didn't happen. So we order some pizza from Pizza Hut and had some chips and salsa.

Was kind of sad being home. New Years Eve is when my side of the family gets together for our Christmas party. So I missed being with everyone.

We had a nice Christmas. We had a Christmas dinner at our daughters. Great that they now live right next door.

For my first card share this year I made a birthday card for my niece Amy.

Amy canned a lot this year, so I thought the canning jar images would be perfect. This stamp set is called Jars of Love from Stampin Up. (Love this set).

The sentiment is from a set called Well Scripted. Also from Stampin Up.

The die I used for the decorative border is from  Pretty Pink Posh called Stitched Borders 2.

The cardstocks used are Cherry Cobbler, Soft Sky and white.

Inks I used are-Cherry Cobbler, Soft Sky, Old Olive, Basic Gray, Pretty In Pink and Momento Black.

I was almost done with the card when my grand daughter Scarlett came in and said aren't you going to add a ribbon? I told her that I wasn't for sure if I was or not. She said "You have to".

So she pulled out several and none looked right. She got out the twine and that worked the best. I told her she is a natural. Glad she decided to come over. Thank you Scarlett for helping me.

I also thought I would share a few pictures that I took a few days ago of some of the birds that were in my backyard. I Love birds and could watch them for hours.

Red- bellied Woodpecker

Dark-Eyed Junco

Female Northern Cardinal

    House Finch

Thank you for stopping by and hope that you can make it back.  Hoping that 2021 is a year full of crafting for us all.
