Hello paper crafter's, Hope all is well with you. It's that time of year for graduations.
My niece Livi is graduating high school and wanted to share the card I made her.
This is my second time making a slimline card. The first one was a few years ago, Before they were so popular.
Her school colors are red and black but wanted it to be more girly so I added other colors.
I used my Cricut for the word Grad and for the graduating cap. I clear embossed the word Congratulations. It's a set from Stampendous called Tweet Chirps.
I enjoyed making a slimline card. I have been seeing a mini slimline card and want to try that.
I also have a recipe to share with you all. I don't do a lot of baking when the weather starts warming up but I had some raisins that I needed to use up and I thought the grandkids would enjoy a treat.
So I made a batch of Cinnamon Raisin Biscuits. They are sooo easy to make. The grandkids really enjoyed them.
Cinnamon Raisin Biscuits
Ingredients-
3 1/2 c. Bisquick
1 c. water
8 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
raisins 1/4th cup- or as many as you want.
Icing
1/4th c. milk
3 c. powdered sugar
2 tbs.salted butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preheat oven to 400
(Could also turn to 425) but my oven does best at 400
In small bowl combine sugar and cinnamon
In large bowl add Bisquick, raisins, sugar/cinnamon together and mix. Add water and mix well.
Drop biscuits onto a baking sheet at least 1 inch apart. Bake at 400 for around 11 minutes,Until golden brown. Ovens do vary so watch carefully.
Icing
In medium bowl mix together melted butter, vanilla and milk. Gradually mix in powdered sugar. Mix well
Spoon over hot biscuits
Now get you a glass of milk or a cup of coffee and enjoy!
Well that's it for me today. Hope you can make it back. Have a great day!
