Floral Birthday Card and Peppa Pig

Hello, I hope you all are doing well.

I'm so glad you could stop by. Does anyone else think that this month is flying by? Its almost September.

Wanted to let you know that I may be having my surgery soon. The exact date hasn't been set yet, so If I don't post for awhile, you will know why. Would love for you all to say a prayer for me.

The last surgery I had, I had to stay in a Nursing Home for a month and a half for rehabilitation. So not sure if I will have to this time or not.

So on to the cards that I have to share with you. The first one is for a friend. They are having her a surprise Birthday Party!

Decided not to add a sentiment to the front of the card. Just couldn't cover up that pretty flower. This card came together super quick, and I love how it turned out!

Now on to my other two cards. I have two great nephews, one is turning three, and one is turning four. Since their birthdays are so close, they are having them together and having a Peppa Pig themed party. So cute!

I found a few Images on google and added them to Design Space on my Cricut, and also downloaded the Peppa Pig font. I used the flatten feature and printed them on my printer, and then the cricut cut them out. (I love my Cricut machines!)

So I decided to make them where they can color them their selves! Thought they would have fun doing It. I even got them some new crayons with their other gifts.

I enjoyed making all three cards. Loved learning how to use the flatten feature on my Cricut. I haven't tried vinyl yet but I have been getting some things to add vinyl to. Just so many things you can create with the Cricut.

Anyway, that is all from me today. Will be heading to Church soon and then later today I will be going to the Birthday parties. It's also a pitch in dinner. So right after Church I will be making a big dish of corn casserole. Yum!!!
I know that my sister Christy and my niece Tiffany hate It. So I guess that will just leave a little extra for me. Ha!

Hope you have a wonderful day! Thanks again for stopping by!

Jars of Love Card

Hello Crafters! Glad you could stop by. We are now In the month of August. School will be starting here on Monday. YIKES!

My grandkids will miss staying up late, and sleeping in every morning. I'm going to miss it too. My grandaughter is starting seventh grade, and my grandson is starting eighth grade! So hard to believe!

Thought I would share a card I made using the stamp set (Jars of Love) from Stampin' Up. This is only my second time using this set. I used the same colors as the last one, I just used a different sentiment.

The sentiment "For You" is from the Stampin' Up Stamp Set called "Chalk Talk". I think the doily really adds a lot to this card!

I really love this stamp set. I don't know why I haven't used it more! Next time, I will be using different colors; but I do love the flowers in Pacific Point, Calypso Coral, and Lavender Lace.

We went to my daughters last night for supper, and had potato soup. It was delicious as always, and for dessert, we had Apple pie.

After supper, I helped make some icing flowers for the cake she had baked. She is a great baker!

So, thought I would share a picture of the cake after she decorated it. Turned out very pretty!

Isn't It sweet! I think it is. Hoping they bring me a piece today. Well, maybe two since it's half chocolate and half white. Gotta try both right?

Well, that's it for me today. Need to get in the kitchen and start preparing for supper tonight. Going to be cooking up a lot of vegetables tonight that I got from the Amish up the road.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and God Bless!

Seashell Card & Fried Green Tomatoes

Hello, and welcome! Hope your having a great Thursday! The weather is hot here in Indiana. Supposed to get extremely hot the next few days!

As some of you know, I recently went on vacation to Sanibel Island, Florida. I had a wonderful time with my sister, Christy, and our friend Kim!

I made Kim a card, and knew that I had to put some shells on it, because Sanibel is a wonderful place to find shells, and we found a lot!

Took the picture with my phone, so not the best picture. But, I was impatient, and didn't want to get up to get the camera, so this will have to do.

Here Is a list of products I used to make it:

First thing is get some green tomatoes, and heat up your skillet. I add oil and a little butter.

         Slice

You will need three separate bowls.
In the first one, add flour, with salt and pepper. Eggs with a little buttermilk in the second one, and Cornmeal in the last one.

Coat tomatoes with flour, eggs, and then cornmeal.

Fry on both sides.

Place on paper towel, and then serve.

Then, Enjoy!!!

These are perfect for a summer meal, and hopefully someone that has never made them will give it a try. They are so simple to make! Please let me know if you try them!!

Thanks so much Card & Bread Sticks

Hello Crafter's! Hoping your having a good day! Through the years of having my craft blog, I have got to know so many wonderful crafter's! I love being a part of the paper craft community!

Today, I would like to share with you a card that I have made for a special paper crafter, that I have followed for what seems like forever. She Is so sweet, and is such a wonderful and giving person!

So here is the card I made for her.:

She is such an inspiration, and she encourages me to create things with my Circuit!
Thank so much Mary, for all you do!

Made the flower using the "Cindy Loo" Cartridge, but, I can't seem to remember which cartridge I used for the scalloped rectangle layer! I have totally lost my paper I wrote everything down on! Ugh!!

I do remember I got the gingham paper from a paper pack called  "Sweet Summer".
The sentiment is from Mary's stamps called "Ticket Talk 2" from Cardz TV.

If you have visited my blog lately, you will notice that I have been posting some recipes that I like to make.
Today, I would like to share a super easy recipe for bread sticks.

Easy Bread Sticks:

This is made using a premade pizza dough. I buy mine from Walmart. Only $1.00 a bag and a lot of the time I get on mark down!

1. Place dough in bowl, and cover with a towel. Let sit for an hour.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Place dough on floured counter. I use a big rectangle glass cutting plate.

Roll dough out using a floured rolling pin.

Take 3/4 of a stick of butter, and melt in microwave.

Add seasonings, Garlic Powder, Parsley, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan. (I do not measure these)

Place the rest of the butter on your baking pan and place in oven just for a little while to melt butter.

Now place dough on pan. and add seasoned butter. Let sit for about 10 minutes on warm oven.

(sorry for blurry picture)

Place in preheated oven, and let bake for around 20 minutes. Ovens do vary so keep an eye on them.

Cut bread sticks with a pizza cutter.

and, Enjoy!!!

My husband and grandkids love when I make these. I serve these with a pizza sauce and a cheese sauce.

If you decide to try these, I would love to know how you liked them.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by. Happy Day to you all, and God Bless!

Wanted to share the recipe of the pie I made last night. Will be taking it to a 4th of July cookout today.

Busy Day Lemon Cheesecake (1959)

1 8 oz. Cream Cheese
2 C. Whole Milk
1 small box Lemon Pudding
8" Graham Cracker Crust

Soften Cream Cheese
With an electric mixer slowly add half a cup of milk.
Add remaining milk and pudding mix.

Beat slowly w/ mixer just until well blended (Do not over beat)

Pour at once into crust.

While making topping I place in fridge to firm up. I let it sit for 30 minutes before adding topping.

Topping

1/2 of a 16 oz. container of Sour Cream
1 TBS Sugar ( I added just a little more)
1/4 tsp Vanilla (or just a little more like i do)

( The original recipe calls for a whole container of sour cream. I think that is way to much so I only use half.)

Add topping to pie and let sit at least for two hours.I keep in fridge overnight.
You can add crumbled Graham crackers on top (optional) or some cool whip.

Also I have a Spinach Cheese Egg Bake recipe I shared a few post back if you want to check it out. It has step by step pictures.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a fun day celebrating.

Have a Blast Bag

We are now in the month of July. A time for pools, picnics, cookouts, Fireworks, lightning bugs, pretty flowers and so many more wonderful things during summer. Although I am more of a fall girl myself. (I really do hate bugs and sweating).

I was on Cricut Design Space (Still kind of new to the whole thing). I still love my Cricut Expression and also my Gypsy.

But I was browsing on there and spotted a little bag and thought I would give it a try.

So this was the perfect time to make a little something Red,White and Blue.

Thought about making the bag w
hite but decided on the kraft. I think it looks good to. The bag was made using the cartridge Creative bug. I guess that's the name. It's the only thing it said. (Told you that I'm still getting the hang of Design Space.)

Stamp Sets used-
Whimsy Stamps- Christmas Scene Builder
Cardz T.V.- "Simply Said"

Cardstock-
Kraft, Whisper White, Yo Yo Yellow

Tag Die

Inks- Pacific Point, Ruby Red and Barely Banana

I do like the little bag and plan on making some larger ones. Thanks for stopping by. I will be posting again on the 4th. Hope you can stop back by. Happy Day to you!

( Also on my last post I shared a recipe for Spinach Cheese Egg Bake If you would like to check It out.)  with step by step pictures
