Hello Friend Card

Hello, Thanks for stopping by. I had a birthday earlier this month and one of my sister's surprised me with the new stamp set from Stampin Up called Friendly Hello.

Not sure how she knew this set was on the top of my list of one's to get. But so happy she picked this one. I LOVE It!

I was needing a card so of course had to use my new set. Sharing with you all the first of many cards that I will be making with it.

Colored the bird and flowers with alcohol markers and cut it out using a stitched circle die.

The sentiment is also from the set. The coral feathered paper I had received in some happy mail and thought it would go well with this card.

The embossing folder that I used is called Forest Branches. You can't tell but I added some Wink of Stella to the centers of the flowers.

Here is a picture of my birthday gift and super cute card she made me right after opening it. I was so excited I had to take a picture.

As you can see she also got me the Designer Series paper that goes along with the stamp set.

( Thank You Tonda)!!! 💓

Thanks for stopping by, Hope you can make it back. Have a great day my friends.

Snowy Flight Card

Hello Crafty Friends, I hope your day is going well. So, for today I wanted to share a card that I made using a stamped image called Snowy Flight from Penny Black.

I love this sweet bird image. Birds are my favorite animal. I could watch them for hours at the bird feeders.

I used alcohol markers to color it and sponged a little bashful blue ink for the sky. The sky didn't show up as well in the picture.  Decided not to add a sentiment to the front. I like the little bird being the focus.

Well, that's going to be it from me today.

Have a wonderful day my friends.

Valentine Rose for Mom

Hello, I have a card share for you today. Tomorrow is Valentines Day, and I created a card for my mom.

I received the pretty rose image in some happy mail, and I thought it would be perfect for my Mom's Valentine card.

Colored the image with alcohol markers and then fussy cut it out and even though you can't see it I added some Wink of Stella in clear for some extra sparkle.

The sentiment is from a Close to My Heart set called Beloved Bouquet.

First stamped it in Momento Black Ink and then stamped it again in Versa Mark. Heat embossed it in clear powder.

The background script stamp is from a company in the U.K. It was stamped in Marina Mist Ink from Stampin Up.

Cut out the big heart on my Cricut and the two little hearts are from a little heart die. Embossed the blue cardstock with a embossing folder.

The leaves in white glitter cardstock were made using a die that I won in a giveaway a few months ago.

To finish the card I added some ribbon called Polka Dot Tulle from Stampin Up.

I really enjoyed making this card for my mom. She is such a wonderful blessing in my life and I'm thankful for everyday that I have with her. She is my biggest fan of my cards and loves sparkle. So, I always make sure to add some to her cards.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you have a wonderful Valentines Day. Blessing to you!

Valentine Card for my Gorjuss Girl

Happy Monday, Hope you are doing well. It has been cold here in Indiana. This past Thursday we had an Ice storm and then it turned to snow. The lights flickered several times. Thought we were going to lose electricity. Saturday morning was really cold. I think the temperature was 0 degrees.

This past week was also my birthday. We were planning on going out to eat with the grandkids, but the weather was too bad to get out.

Have any of you been creating any Valentine cards or crafts?

For my card share today I have a Valentine card that I have made for my granddaughter Scarlett.

From the very first time that I seen Gorjuss Girl stamps I have loved them. They have always reminded me of my granddaughter. So that is what I have used for this card.

The Gorjuss Girl image is 3D and already layered. So that made this card an easy one. Didn't have to color anything. My granddaughter's favorite flower is a rose. So, this was perfect.

Used a white cardstock for the base. The heart paper is also from Gorjuss Girl. Layered it on some white cardstock that I distressed using a Edge Distresser that I bought years ago and hadn't used it in a long time.

Fun to get it out and use it. It's made by Hiedi Swapp. Not sure if they are made anymore. But I'm sure there are other brands out there.

Stamped the sentiment on a piece of cardstock that feels more like cloth material. The sentiment is from a set called Petal Palette from S.U.

The HUGS letters comes from a heart die from Poppy Stamps. I had just received it the other day. I had won it over on Karen Letchwoths blog for the Christmas blog hop at Word Art Wednesday.

The little circle heart is also from the Gorjuss Girl collection, and I also added some white ribbon.

Here is a picture of the heart die with the other goodies that I won. Was so excited. Will have fun using that pretty snowflake stamp set from Sweet n' Sassy Stamps on some winter and Christmas cards next season.

Thanks for stopping by, I will have another Valentine card share coming up soon. So hope you can make it back.

Hope you have a great week. Stay safe and stay crafty my friends.

Happy Birthday to Y*u Card

It's the last day of January. Glad to see January come to an end. Looking forward to Spring. I'm tired of the cold weather.

It's my grand daughter's birthday. Wasn't for sure what type of birthday card to make her this year. Wanted something cute and simple. I was on Pinterest one night and came across a cute free digital image of a kitty.

My granddaughter loves her cats, especially her little kitten Samson. So, I decided that I would use it for her card this year.

I uploaded the image into Design Space and added the Happy Birthday to You. Colored the kitty yellow like Samson using alcohol markers.

I'm sure she will laugh when she notices the word Y*U. It sure got me tickled.

I sponged the grass and sky with S.U. Certainly Celery and Bashful Blue. The cloud is from a border die from the Dollar Tree.

Cardstock used - blue base- Core-dinations called Scuba Diver. Also used white and black. You can find the cute kitty image at iheartcraftythings

A couple of weeks ago my granddaughter and I decided to make some chocolate peanut butter balls. We had a good time making them. When mixing it up we couldn't figure out why the mixture was so dry. We had forgot to add the butter. So funny!  They turned out pretty good and I thought that I would share the recipe with you all.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls

-Ingredients needed-

1 cup Peanut butter

4 tbs softened butter

1-1/3 cup powdered sugar

tsp vanilla

1 tbs coconut oil

1/2 cup milk chocolate chips

1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

In large bowl first add powdered sugar, then add peanut butter, softened butter and vanilla

Mix and place in refrigerator for at least an hour.

Scoop mixture and form little balls and place on wax paper.

Put chocolate chips in microwave safe bowl and add coconut oil.

Microwave 30 seconds at a time until melted. Dip peanut butter ball into chocolate using a fork or toothpick. Place back on wax paper until chocolate is set and enjoy.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you enjoyed seeing my card and hope you can make it back again. Have yourself a wonderful day!

Winter bird card

Hello crafter's, any of you sick of cold weather yet? I can't stand being cold. I think they are calling for snow for Sunday. Hopefully we won't get much. They are also saying it will be really cold for the rest of the month. That it won't be getting above the 20s.

I do have an extra little heater that I keep in my craftroom. So I keep toasty warm in there.

I was needing a card and decided that I would use a bird stamp from Polkadoodles.

I had bought this stamp a couple of years ago and had never used it. So I knew that it was time to give it a try.

I had been a little nervous to try and color it because I really have no idea how to color feathers on a bird. But it turned out ok, I guess.

Used alcohol markers to color it and used a sponge to color in a little blue sky using Bashful Blue from S.U. Also sponged a little bit of Summer Sun in the corner for a little sunshine.  Used a white gel pen to color the snow on the trees.

The sentiment is from a stamp from Stampabilities.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a great day!  Stay safe and stay crafty my friends.

Happy 'Bird' day Chickie Card

Hello, Happy New Year to you all, this is my first post for the new year. My first card share is one that I have created for my niece Amy for her birthday. This Image from Bugaboo Stamps is sooo cute, just makes me smile. Used alcohol markers to color it. Unfortunately, the ink on the balloons ran out of the lines a little.  Ugh!

This is a digital image; thought a stitched rectangle die would look cute. I also used a dot embossing folder and added a yellow ribbon.

Put the sentiment on the inside.

The sentiment is also from Bugaboo. I'm not for sure, but I think that you can no longer purchase from Bugaboo. Really sad because they had so many great images.

That's it for me today.  Really appreciate you all stopping by and the comments that you leave.

Hope we all have a wonderful, healthy, happy new year with lots of crafting. God bless!
